First long form video I watched that you made, I'm pleasently suprised that you are romanian! I completely missed that fact, I love the fact that you bring people to know the great food that romania has and overall makes our country more recognized around the world, because around 2 to 6 years ago people didn't really know about us, but know people are way more open to Romania, and don't just make fun of us.
@@oanaalexia, only the concept is Turkish. If you ever tasted a Turkish sarma or a Greek dolma you know it has nothing to do with the taste of a Romanian sarma. The Polish golabki actually have much more in common with our sarmale than the Turkish sarmale.

Watching all the food you ate I realized how similar tradition and food we have in Serbia! From plum jam, cevapi (mici), palacinka (placinta), sarma, ajvar (roasted red bells), etc. Basically 80% the same food. So cool! You should visit Serbia ❤

Happy very belated birthday to your mom! I was born in Ukraine and lived there for the first 5.5 years of my life there. I’m a US citizen living NYC and there are many grocery stores that cater to Eastern Europeans in my neighborhood. I tried fruit jams and pickles from Moldovia. They are a big hit with my mom and me. My neighbor is from Romania. Small world. Love your channel. Keep on KWOKing! 😁
happy birthday kwooks mom!
Im Romanian,I hope you enjoyed your time here in Romania! Also, you should come to my home town, its beautiful, the icecream is delicious,IN BRAȘOV! HAPPY BIRTHDAY KWOOK'S MOM or LA MULȚI ANI MAMA LUI KWOOK!
Fun fact, Hungarians started putting sparkling water into crepes only because it was cheaper, but now it's traditional to do so... Happy birthday to your mom!
They say the dough gets less bubbly with sparkling water and more homogeneous, but my grandma always preferred milk because it just tastes better.
@@keshudioo i did an experiment once with using milk vs water and i found it interesting that one resulted in fluffier chewier texture and the other had a crispier texture (which i prefer). Funny thing is i kind of forgot which one did which :D pretty sure water =crispy, milk = chewy
ROMANIAN FOOD IS THE BEST FOOD EVER (I'm Romanian)
Me too

Happy Birthday to KWOOWK's mom!
Your cooking looks very delicious. It makes me so, so hungry...
I love how every slavic country has "Sarmale", but they have their own name for it. It's the exact same thing though.
they're actually turkish
@@oanaalexia, only the concept is Turkish. If you ever tasted a Turkish sarma or a Greek dolma you know it has nothing to do with the taste of a Romanian sarma. The Turks even put stuff like cinnamon and mint inside them and they boil them with fruits like sour cherries or plums. The Polish golabki actually have much more in common with our sarmale than the Turkish sarmale.
@@oanaalexia The turks think they've invented every food from the balkans, greek food and polish food. spoilers: none of it is true.
romania isnt slavic though...
La mulți ani mamei tale! I always tho you are from Harghita or Covasna somehow, but damn we are both from Cluj. Your video made me appreciate life even more and being born in this country. Touched me immensely, thank you!!
bro gets doner kebab and calls shawarma omfg arabian propaganda
Arab owners name their product shawarma, Turkish owners name it kebap. The first shops had either Arab or Turkish owners, probably the Arabs were first to open such fast food stalls. Anyway, they have already gone through a Romanian influence, they taste better than in Turkey!
ce familie frumoasa! ne mandrim cu tine, felicitari pentru toate lucrurile frumoase pe care la faci 🤗
Excellent video! Happy Birthday Mama KWOOWK!

I've been following you for quite a while and never knew you're Romanian! Let alone that you're from Cluj where I currently live. This video brought me a lot of smiles. Awesome job!
How to say you're clujean from cartierul Gheorgheni without saying it 😊 Very glad to see Piata Hermes in your video-is the area where I grew up and now visit my parents weekly. I enjoyed the whole video and it brings me so much joy to see that your foreign friends are having the opportunity to taste our delicious and comforting mancare ardeleneasca. Serus de la o clujeanca!
Watching all the food you ate I realized how similar tradition and food we have in Serbia! From plum jam, cevapi (mici), palacinka (placinta), sarma, ajvar (roasted red bells), etc. Basically 80% the same food. So cool! You should visit Serbia ❤
Happy Birthday to Mama Kwoowk! I hope you have/had a wonderful day!
Kevin, I really love these culture videos. I hope they do well for you so you can keep making them!
