Biology is imperfect, if someone can be borne with a finger missing. A simple appendage. Is it beyond the realm of possibility that something as complex as the brain can go wrong?
It’s the “can they pass” that needs to be investigated.
It’s similar to, “I don’t eat meat but I eat fish”; Because it’s not furry it’s ok for it to die?
We are all hypocrites, the world is imperfect and full of imperfect people.
Me personally from an engineering standpoint, 7 billion people. A thing as complex as a brain to make. A female brain in a mans body, not hard to believe.

He said, "Well, 26 is pretty young to get a hysterectomy, you might want to get pregnant again." She said "Well it's pretty young to fuckin DIE, ain't it? [Point at belly] Get that outta there!!"
Do you fuckin believe that? This chick would've probably had less than a year to live, w/o the surgery, & all this quack could think about was the standard "MUST BREED MORE SLAVES" that religion & The Owners have drilled into society since Year One. Un-fuckin-real. The best part? She'd already HAD a kid, & didn't want any more! And he knew that!
Now kids half the age that she was at the time, are supposed to be able to just say "I'm a dude" & it's like "No problem! [carve carve]" Yeah, they can't drink a beer, which wears off in an hour, but getting sliced up & nailed back together, which lasts forever? Hell yeah!!

Around 9 mins, blaire mentions not wanting the people around her to feel like they need to be sensitive around her when talking about things and I feel that 100%. I’m gay and Native American and sometimes people will want to ask questions about either of those and the woke left might be like “asking those questions are offensive!” But even if those questions people are curious about might come off as “ignorant,” people are genuinely curious and are at least asking questions to learn. It’s not a bad thing when people ask questions even if they come off as “ignorant” and I hate how nowadays you have to walk on eggshells around others.

If you’re willing to answer questions, I have one. It’s been on my mind and I can’t ask around because I know people will disagree with me.
Do you think that us doing more research on what biologically causes homosexuality can lead to more people accepting it? I believe that being same-sex attracted is natural and so I can’t understand why people would believe there is something wrong with it. Most times, people I talk to who have an objection to homosexuality see it as a lifestyle choice rather than something equal to the validity of heterosexuality. I thought having studies that show this would help.
To elaborate: most women are attracted to men and their secondary sex characteristics because that is what causes us to mate and reproduce young. But in our population, as well as other social, mammalian species, individuals are born same-sex attracted. This is theorised to happen because it decreases hostility within groups. We don’t know if this is completely accurately though- there isn’t enough research to conclude anything substantial.
I had a leftist friend who told me that this doesn’t work because sexuality isn’t something you’re necessarily born with, and nearly everything can influence it. It’s constantly changing and so my idea doesn’t work.
As someone who has always liked men and cannot even fathom the idea of liking women, I find this idea hard to understand.
      What do you think?

@@ichliebebrotmann9709 (I know you didn't ask me but) Yes. The studies showing differences in the brains of straights and gays in 90s were a huge part of why gay acceptance grew. If you are interested, there is this Norwegian documentary (with eng subs) that talks about the biological differences of gays compared to straights: ruclips.net/video/150QBUAisoo/видео.html&ab_channel=JurijFedorov

    • @dsjenzen
      @dsjenzen 3 года назад +25

@@ichliebebrotmann9709 Further studies can be done and it really shouldn't be any issue at all. I believe some ppl are biologically inclined to be attracted to the same sex, others are on a spectrum and they can go either way, maybe at a certain phase they are attracted to same sex but at another phase of their lives they would be attracted to other sex. I said this becos in Ancient Greece and Ancient China, as well as Japan, most men if not all men were openly having sexual relations with other men and no one bats an eyelid. It was the social norms of those times. So for me personally, in layman terms, I believe some ppl are indeed born gay while for others it could be a phase or part of their lifestyle. I actually believe even if it's indeed a lifestyle choice, why would that be a problem? It ain't anyone else's business. 😊

@@ichliebebrotmann9709 First of all, (unrelated) I speak german and I absolutely love your username.
Secondly, I absolutely agree with you. Neurobiology and genetics definitely play a part in sexual attraction. That also explains why many earlier civilizations had no issues with gay men existing and even celebrated their existence. The aversion towards being gay came much later when gender norms started to be used as a tool to oppress others similar to other factors that could be used as a form of oppression like ethnicity.
The friend you are talking about seems to be a bit confused about sexual attraction and expression. Sexual attraction can‘t be changed, HOWEVER, life experiences can greatly impact how sexual attraction manifests itself later on.
As to this being beneficial knowledge I can see it going both ways. It could either lead to others realizing that it is in fact "normal" and lead to more acceptance OR it could go the opposite way and lead to homosexuality being viewed as a genetic defect by quite a few heterosexuals like it did in the late 80‘s/early 90‘s.
In my personal opinion, I am always pro research because I don‘t like taking things for face value and want to actually understand why things truly are the way they are but I suppose only time will tell what‘s going to happen next.
What would definitely interest me though is 1) whether or not homosexuality can be predicted before birth, 2) where bisexuality is located on that spectrum genetically and 3) how accurate research on bisexuality or lesbianism could be conducted since same sex attraction for women, while still being same sex attraction, usually manifests itself a lot differently than same sex attraction for men.

I seem to remember there dysmorphia being deliberately changed to dysphoria, but only for sex / gender body dysmorphia... no other body dysmorphia's.

    • @gimygaming8655
      @gimygaming8655 3 года назад +42

@@nt78stonewobble that's not the point. They need to be classified differently because they need different treatment. People with eating disorders get diagnosed with dysmorphia but people who are trans get diagnosed with Dysphoria. Because the treatment plans for them are different. If you give someone with just dysmorphia hormones cause "it's the same" they will not be happier with themselves. They need a different treatment plan. People with Dysphoria will often need hormones. If you gave them therapy for how to eat without feeling guilty or like they are huge when they ain't then it's not gonna help them. To classify them as the same would mean they need the same treatment. People with Dysphoria and ALSO have dysmorphia though. I would also like to say kids who have body dysmorphia are confusing that with gender dysphoria and it's causing them to go through hormones and regret it. See why a majority are girls just cutting their hair short, going on hormones, then regretting it? That's because they thought they had gender dysphoria when it was really them having body dysmorphia. So yes, they need to be classified differently in order receive different health. Also body dysmorphia is WAY more common then dysphoria. According to the DSM they are classified differently for that reason. It's not "more inclusive" because they aren't the same thing. If people don't learn this it's gonna cause a lot of problems. Just look at the thumbnail, it says dysphoria not dysmorphia because it needs to be a clear distinction.

I talked to her about my issues with my body and the existence of body dysphoria which led her to seek additional medical help and she now identifies as a girl again. After counselling she discovered that she was dissociating from her female identity because her family didn’t accept her as a lesbian and in her mind she thought if she went male it would make it ok in there eyes. She was trying to please the people around her. She is so thankful that she listened to me instead of going on hormones which a doctor was ready to give her. My question is how on earth does a medical professional not assess the situation properly? How is it that me who has no experience as a mental health professional was able to give her more insight and helpful advice than the professional person her parents paid to help her. A man who didn’t think twice about pumping hormones into a 16 year old autistic child?!? These people are dangerous and are ruining young people’s lives.

My daughter informed her father and I a year ago that she wanted to start testosterone. It was out of nowhere. . We asked her if she's always felt like she was a boy ect.. The only thing she has been able to say is, "I googled why I don't like my boobs and transgender came up" and that she's always wanted to be taller. I explained that a person is not able to pick and choose what taking testosterone will do to your body and mind. She doesn't understand. She has cut off all her hair, I purchase boys clothing, everyone knows ect. And yet her anxiety and depression continues to get worse.
What makes this even worse her Doctors, School, therapists are all ready to start testosterone and remove her breasts BEFORE being able to answer or talk about the concerns her father and I have. Not ONE has spoken to her about the fact that not liking your boobs does not make a person transgender.
Not ONE has spoken to her about all the risks and exactly what testosterone will and will not do. They are ALL afraid to say ANYTHING that might make her even just question whether or not she is truly transgender and they all take my concerns as though I'm not supportive. My daughter wanting to become my son is a HUGE deal and what parent wouldn't have questions or concerns about something so serious. I'm now frightened to ask my daughter anything because I've been told numerous times that my questions can cause so much damage.

I've heard that one before from her school counselor. Who told her father and I that if we called her Jay and reminded her that we where supportive that her anxiety and depression would lift. That lasted 3 days and I got a phone call from my daughter wanting to come home from her father's, why? Because "Momma, I think Daddy is under the impression that if he's accepting of me, than my anxiety and stuff will just magically go away, but I tried to explain to him that it has nothing to do with that, he's not listening and it's REALLY starting to make me mad" I then told her that it was her counselors idea, she was horrified and angry. It's been 3 months and she still will not go visit her father because he "doesn't understand her" Everytime I've tried to talk to her about wanting to start testosterone, she gets uncomfortable and walks away. I asked a while ago if I now had 2 sons and she said, no, I am your daughter. I asked if I should call her "Jay" and she said no because it's weird and uncomfortable when I say it. The only people she's told to call her Jay, are people that she's just met. She doesn't want a penis she just doesn't want her boobs. She's TERRIFIED of change. She also informed us that she was a lesbian. When she said that, I asked, Well if your transgender than your not a lesbian, right?
I then proceeded to tell her that I have many friends in the LGBTQ community and that if I felt the need to label myself, I would be pansexual, thankfully I'm from a generation that focused on being able to live life without being judged by others. Unlike now, it seems like everyone needs to have a label. I always thought labels were used to separate, so it makes no sense to me or anyone I know. That however is a completely different topic.
Long story short now that my daughter knows that I'm not clueless she hasn't said a word to me nor have I heard her speak about it in general.
Honestly I think she's non binary, she's never been girly nor boyish and I've never pushed anything but to be herself. When and if she does come to me asking to be called something different, I gladly will respect that.

I'm a tomboy, rather atypical woman for many things. I don't want to have kids, I would have loved to be very tall, I don't wear makeup at all, I want more visible muscle popping, I wish every day my breasts would stop growing... But in truth, I act very girly. Or like a lady, as some tell me. I'm quiet, reserved, shy.
Maybe due to the fact that I have an older brother that I kinda latched on some boyish things growing up. I know I picked up gaming because of him. There was a very short period when I did want to be a boy, but not because of how I felt about my body, but because my brother got certain things that I didn't. This was a very short period, I basically just searched it up and yet-ed out. The fact it does permanent things to your body, non-reverasable things, is why I hated the idea of it even as a teen. Tattoos, piercings all that were a no to me, even now.
I've grew out of many ideas I initially had. Even some short ones when I was in some anime fandoms and I wanted to buy a figure costing over 100 euro. After a year I always realise how dumb I was just thinking of it.
I would advise too keep your daughter far from things that could permanently change her at least until she's very much an independent adult. These things are currently very trendy and you get something that I view as 'social coins' in certain places. That wouldn't work in my country, but in the West... I'm pretty sure I would have fallen as a teen in one of these trends as well, but my country is much more conservative that the USA and I'm glad for it.

@@TheSkyrimInquisitor I have 2 oder sisters and an older brother, our parents NEVER once uttered the words "act like a boy/girl. My mom still to this day at 78 will say how she was a tomboy because she wasn't "girly" hated dresses, makeup ect.. Yet she never said that to any of us, ironically she had 3 girls that even though we didn't learn it from her, preferred "girly" things. I still remember how I felt when all my friends moms where helping them get ready for prom and I was stuck doing it alone because my mom wasn't into that stuff. (I promised myself that I'd never do that to my children, regardless of what I like, I still will do anything with my kids)
All that being said although I have always like typical "girly" things, still do, as far as who my friends where, who I related to, felt more comfortable with, enjoyed hanging out with, besides the way I looked, dressed ect, who I was when it came to what I naturally "acted" like(so to speak) was male. To this day I still have only 2 female friends, my interests (fish) is a male dominated hobby, I can't stand gossip, flakiness, drama, the list goes on. I preferred hanging out with my guy friends causing trouble rather than doing each others makeup while talking about other people, gossiping. I was and still am always building things, fixing things, my boyfriend laughs because people assume it was him that fixed the TV or built the pool deck and he'll say, don't look at me,she's the one that figures out all that shit. Lol.
I've never once nor has it ever crossed my mind that I was born the wrong sex or spent time trying to figured out what label sexually I am because I've enjoyed being with all types of people.
I just wish that instead of creating more labels, instead of people trying to figure out what or where they belong ect. People would concentrate on loving themselves for who they are regardless of stereotypes.
My daughter the other day said that she now wanted to wait until she was done with school to start testorone and that she was happy with how things where now and that she doesn't have to wear dresses and I said sounds good but when have I EVER made you wear a dress? She paused and said, um I guess never really.
I also told her to just remember that no matter what I will always love you and the only thing, regardless of what you decide, the only thing I want for you and your siblings, is to love yourself and I hope someday you will.
I'm not sure how easy it is to get testorone in the US. I think it varies from state to state but I was SHOCKED when my daughters pediatrician said that she could prescribe puberty blockers like she was offering Tylenol for a headache. I asked my daughter if she wanted to take something that they are still not sure of the side effects it could cause in the future. Thankfully she told her doctor no.

I generally refer to movement, narrative or ideology when discussing an opinion. Primarily since much of the issues that I have seen come about are from mostly radical activists, which sway or convince many who are ignorant or unaware of the very negative impact that the trans movement is having on the general population, such as the men claiming trans being sent to women's prisons, leading to rape and assault. However, many trans individuals, such as Blaire White or Rose of Dawn, are much more grounded in reality and do not agree with the radical trans ideology. I can write quite a bit about the method and actions that have had very negative impact on the world of women. The 3 primary issues that I believe should be addressed are 1) Control the surge of young girls declaring trans, leading to double mastectomies and infertility, 2) Disallow men from entering those areas meant specifically for women, 3) Stop the marginalization of women by removing "women" and "mother" from official documentation.
There are other issues, but this is simply incredible how this small number of people have demanded how the world should be run in order to support the premise that a man can be a woman.
One last concern is that any man can claim to be trans for any reason; fetish, fantasy, GD, athletic advantage, political opportunity, access to women.

@@idiotsandwhich8073 I also live in a multicultural "community" and speak from experience. Yes, there are things that people from various groups have in common, but these are superficial and I'd say it's the need to generalise and simplify our view of "the other" that's extreme. Just look at your group or your nation. Not at what it's believed your nation is like, but at real people. You'll likely find people who are very intelligent and some who are lacking in this respect. Some who are exceptionally well mannered and some exceptionally rude. Honest and dishonest. Extroverted and introverted. Gentle and violent. There's no reason why any other group should be any less diverse. But when we look at "the other", we often project our beliefs and assumptions on them and see what we expect to see rather than what's real. To see what's real, we would need to admit that we don't know and that makes us uncomfortable.

For me, the whole notion of "transgender" is a complete non-starter. In order to claim that you're really [X-Gender] and not really the gender you were born into, you'd first have to know what it meant to be [X-Gender] and what it actually felt like to be in an [X-Gender] body and to have been treated like an [X-Gender] person and have the experience of living an [X-Gender] life. It's one thing to see someone of [X-Gender] and imagine what it's like to be them, but it's a totally different thing to actually be them and know what it's like to be them.
Say for example you're a girl and you want to be treated like a boy, and you tell people this and they agree to it. They're not really treating you like a boy. They're treating you like a girl who has asked to be treated like a boy, which is not the same thing. Subconsciously, we all still know you're a girl, and so we will never truly treat you like a boy. We have too many instinctual and built in biases for that to actually happen, and so you'll never really know what it feels like to be treated that way unless you go through so much medical intervention that you become indistinguishable from an actual boy ... and that's very hard to do. But say you do manage to accomplish that. There's still so much more to being a boy that forms your personality that you never will have experienced that every biological male had do.
For example: spontaneous erections. You'd have no idea what it's like to spontaneously sprout a flagpole in your pants right at the moment the teacher asks you to walk to the front of the room to work out a problem on the chalk board. There are so many layers to this. First there's the sensation of the erection itself. Then there's the frustration at the complete and total lack of control of it. Then there's the fact that now you have to somehow stand in front of the class without anybody seeing the trouser-tent you've got going on. Then there's the what if someone does see it. Then there's the persistent fear that it's going to happen in every class for the rest of your school career. And this just goes on and on and on. These sorts of experiences are key to really understanding what it means to be a boy/man, and a biological female can never experience or know any of this ... and this is just one small aspect of becoming a man. There are countless things like this that a biological female can never truly understand and can therefore never really know what it means to be a "man". At best it will only be cosplay.
And the same can be said for a biological male who thinks he's supposed to be female. He'll never know what it's like to have his first period in Jr. High on the same day he decided to wear white shorts to school. He'll never know what it's like to suddenly have breasts that he never asked for and everybody is just staring at them all day long every day. Or worse, what it's like to have been expecting breasts for years while all of your friends got their already and nobody even looks at you anymore.
There are just too many critical milestones that really make you who you are that it's impossible to experience, understand, or even know about unless you've been through them. Like I said before, at best it will be cosplay, and if it's literally impossible to truly know what it means to be [X-Gender], then any notion that you are [X-Gender] when you weren't born that gender must, by definition, be a delusion, and that makes it a mental illness.

I'm 11 months late with a reply, but this is all very well put and I've not heard anyone put forward that idea before. I shall be re-using it! You're so right. It reminds me of when people, normally with bravado, say things like "if that happened I would have done x,y,z", as in "If my boss had said that to me I would have quit my job". It's a small matter, but you really can't possibly know what you would have done in an individual situation AS an individual person, because you can't be them. I know it's something that people casually say, it's just a silly pet peeve of mine. But in terms of transgenderism, it's exactly as you say, if you're a man, you CAN'T feel that you are a woman because you don't know what being a woman feels like. As a woman, I don't even know what being a woman feels like. I can describe how I feel in individual circumstances, but I can't definitively say what being a woman feels like. It's too nebular.

And like it or not, whatever your intent may be, every time you call Blair "she/her", you are AFFIRMING the evidence-free dogma that imitating stereotypes of the opposite sex somehow MAKES YOU that sex, and that "trans-women ARE women"- Which in turn, is ACTIVELY SUPPORTING the "transition"/needless mutilation of children, and the removal of women's rights...
If Blair is a "she", then "trans-women ARE women". And if "trans-women ARE women", then we are MORALLY OBLIGED to "transition" children to their "TRUE gender" (despite the 100% absence of empirical evidence ANYWHERE in this process...)
And (*IF* it's true that "trans-women ARE women"), then they obviously SHOULD be allowed in women's sports, women's prisons, women's bathrooms, etc...
Evidence-based truth is evidence-based truth. I like Blair, I agree with most of Blair's politics, and I genuinely respect Blair bucking the trend for trans people, by opposing the insanity of "transitioning" children, and for defending the rights of women...
But none of that changes the evidence-based truth (which Blair acknowledges... incinsistently...) that Blair is A MAN, just like ALL "trans-women"; He's a feminine man who does a better job of "passing" than most... But a man, regardless...

Listening about when the world was different pre woke and how everything has become political and every demographic hates another , it made me think back (much further than the average person on here , I am in my 50’s ) to when there was no internet , no social media and we only had a few TV channels to watch . In the 80’s we had series like Howard’s Way and Dallas , literally everyone from every persuasion , every creed, race and gender watched fervently . There was no politics involved , no one cared. You voted on the basis often with what you were brought up with but politics of any description just wasn’t a thing in people’s daily life . I recently watched a couple of episodes of Howard’s Way and it quite shocked me the emotions it brought up , it suddenly put where we are now into a real perspective , now is what we thought back then as an unimaginable totalitarian dystopia , so far fetched it wouldn’t even be made a Hollywood movie it would be so far fetched and yet here we are . Around the time of the height of those series everything seemed possible , there was hope and excitement what the future would bring, that no matter what your background you could be successful (in whatever way you wanted not just financial) , nothing was in your way to being whatever you wanted in life save of course the trans and gay thing was probably a bit backward but improved in time. Now I look at the young and think Jesus ! Life is going to be a whole lot harder for you and yet none of you will know any different , this is it as far as you know , you’ll never know what it’s like to wake up one morning and think F’ it lets dash to the airport and take the first flight somewhere , to get in a car and drive half way round Europe in a banger , to get a scrambler motorbike and go roaring around the country side with your pants on fire and a million other things and there is no cell phones, internet , people that can track you and monitor you 24/7 , you were free and no one knew who the F’ you are or where you were . If you had to contact someone you had to find a dial up phone box . Maybe this is just it and we have to accept our kids will never know the freedoms we had and I guess if they are reasonably happy in their own way does it really matter ? In someways it tougher for us older guys because we had all that freedom and for most of our lives and now it’s gone . A bit like if you never had money, it doesn’t really affect you but if you were stinking rich and lost it all, life becomes pretty shit .

My kids have experienced 80s things like the music, movies, clothes, etc. because of me and my interests and have all said that the 80s looked like it was great. And it was! You know, Boy George wore makeup and had an androgynous way of dressing, had long hair. I never thought...gee, I wonder what he identifies as. I didn't care about his fashion choices and I loved his music. That's how things were then. I was a girl who didn't ever play with dolls as a child and preferred boy related activities. We had a term for that and it wasn't a gender identity...I was a tomboy. There's nothing wrong with that kind of terminology. If a guy wasn't gay but had feminine movements, gestures, etc. he was called an effeminate male... none of this gender identity bullshit. Great answer from Blaire about what we need to be talking about and that is the sexualisation of kids

It is kindof weird how there's a gay or trans community... I'm not part of some bipolar community lmao.

The main reason I like Blaire is her view on trans issues. A common sense view. I like that very much. What the left is doing to young children is awful.

knew a guy who had gender dysphoria, and they absolutely hated their life, he was born a boy and wanted to stay a boy, but he constantly felt urges to act feminine and they were always stereotyped by the pride to act trans, and he hated it
my point in brining this up is that if gender dysphoria was diagnosed then people should feel safe in choosing the option to take medications without being thrown into a label and lifestyle they disagree with.

Blair’s, you’ve got a new fan! Thank you for your sincerity, honesty, and courage to speak your truth in a time of rabid conform-or-be-crushed.

Maybe you guys are right wing and that’s totally ok and cool. The general idea of being right wing is very much distorted from the left leaning media! I myself, a gay guy, I have always considered me being a left winger, but now I consider myself centre/ right more on the right.

Not gay, but otherwise the same here. I think the current craziness has probably done the same to a lot of those who previously were left wing.

I think the distinction here is not whether one considers themselves left or right. Those positions have been increasingly polarised that it is impossible to hold a balanced, rational position on some issues. Personally, I consider myself to be a liberal individual, but I also believe in a strong society. No man is an island. The sooner we can divorce our ideas from the left/right paradigm the sooner we can approach politics with a more nuanced point of view. To sound about 20 years older than I am, I blame social media.

When Blair was asked about whether she thought it would have been easier to start transitioning in early childhood , the one point that was not said was that unlike Blair, who has had dysmorphia from being 4yo. A lot of the kids who are jumping on the trans bandwagon do not show signs of this issue, in fact the trans issue is often something that they just declare about themselves out of nowhere, and they run to the diagnoses like freight trains and want to transition immediately , and also when you look at the studies that have been done it's NOW predominately teen girls , and if you look through history this has usually been a male issue .

Transphobia is bad, but you can go too far in the opposite direction as well. If they aren't hurting anyone, be respectful of other people and the way they choose to live their lives.

'Trans people come and hug me in the LGBT+ community of West Hollywood, saying they don't say the things they want to say because they see me doing that and how badly I'm treated'. This breaks my heart.
