You need flashpro to wake the car up. There’s a couple supporting mods you can do as well to improve throttle response. I also noticed how gentle you’re being with the car, don’t be afraid to shift down to get the most out of the Z3. You should always be above 6k rpm especially around corners. Overall great driving, you seem very comfortable with the platform
That looks like a fun track. I think you got the perfect car for it as well. Anything that handles decent with low power would be super fun on a track like that.
I like the fact that the car is almost in stock form, it really doesn't need anything else to be entertaining 😊 Nice driving, I have a European, 2009, 1.8 litre FN1 civic type S, same chassis as yours, I believe. Take care, drive safely!👍
Cool stuff. Would love to see your speed overlayed on the screen somehow next time if you can. Seems like you're caught between 2nd and 3rd a lot on this track which is a bummer especially with the lack of torque.
I actually tried to bring in MPH. For some reason my GoPro decided not to bring in the GPS data unfortunately. I really want to get some overlay in the next track day I do! Yeah it had a little trouble with gearing, maybe it's driver mod but it definitely felt a little lost at some points especially the lower speed corners
Just an intake or a few mods and a reflash with flashpro and it will be a completely different story. higher redline more torque down low and mid range
Great question, I was using a seat headrest mount! Not sure the exact brand but there's a bunch out there that have GoPro mounts attached. Highly recommend, I thought it was the perfect POV
Keep it real with me Patti! You really like the Annex coilovers? I want something sporty for my fa5 but can handle track days like you doing brother! I do appreciate the discount! And how you like the hybrid transmission upgrades?
Honestly, I'm pleasantly surprised with Annex and would recommend them. The one thing I'd point out is that I imagine a spring/shock combo from Koni for example would probably ride the exact same but be a bit cheaper. It will lack adjustability but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I think either way, ditching the stock suspension is huge for these cars
Transmission upgrades are great, the biggest I'd recommend is changing the fluid regularly! That was the easiest thing in the world and made a big difference
@@pattyboihmmm you got me thinking G, you doing more track days with your fg2 soon? I want to see your review after a few more and I’m pulling the trigger with your discount code 🤣
So I guess you don't know how to actually turn off traction control in an 8th gen Si but you have to be stopped when you hit the button. If your moving and hit the button the light comes on but traction control is still on. Imo you should start the car and before you put it in 1st push the button and turn TC off unless it's snowing or raining. The car will feel much better if you do this. I've seen 2 of your videos now where you turned off TC while moving and I'm starting to wonder if you have ever actually have got to experience the car without TC. Otherwise your videos are great keep it up
@pattyboi it makes a noticeable difference I daily a 09 Si sedan and it makes that low end sluggishness feel much better. Don't get me wrong it's still there but it feels more responsive.
You just won’t notice vehicle dynamic deficiencies with such low horsepower. The power just can’t push the chassis hard enough. For a track car you’ll want to be around 400 rear wheel horsepower at the minimum to extract any level of driving skill from a driver. *and your “loving” the car because it’s extremely slow. Your skill level outperforms the car so it’s comfortable for you. The others your passing must be first days on any track.

We need more track days 🚀🔥
why were you surprised that your car handles well. one of the best honda chassis. thanks for the vids
Great vid as usual, man! Love the different camera shots. These civics can really rip on track. Glad you got one, really like those 8th gens.
I miss my 08 and 14 Si

Do you have any solutions to keep the stock seat but have some type of harness to keep you in place while on the track? I can’t find any options
Honestly I'm not sure, I didn't have a horrible time with the stock seat but not amazing either
What do you use to mount your gopro in the rear seats?

@@saviorstyles9148 haha, I actually have one in another two weeks!!
Wait I thought you had the 19mm sway bar?
I do!
Description says 22mm which why I asked I thought you had a upgrade to a thicker bar. Thanks!
@@GlassDonkeygood catch, just updated it
Hi! Is it a stock or an aftermarket LSD on this car?
Stock LSD!

Ok so I actually did not know that at all. That's a huge tip, I'll have to try that out!! Thanks a bunch!!
