It's actually so easy once you get the hang of it. I can't believe I've paid paid over £300 every time i got this done in the past.
I'm about to buy an S213 (my dad's that he's had for 4 years), and this has put my mind at rest about how well thought out the location of all these components is. Yes, a lot are plastic (which is a shame in a way) but the procedures seem to be quite simple to carry out.
Fuel filter is the only pain, given in my Passat it's under the bonnet (transverse) which was a little easier to do, but the oil filter on this is in a much better location (on the Passat it's under the EGR pipe so a bit of a faff).
Thanks for the video, very useful!
Thank you, sir! Just what I needed! I recently bought a 2019 W205 and it’s about the same procedure as I can see…
I pull the oil filter out and leave it out until after draining the oil pan. Wish they had a top oil dipstick so the oil can be pumped out without getting under the car and undoing all them bolts to drop the covers. Pour the new oil down the oil filter hole - much quicker and the oil doesn't get jammed up on the cam lifters under the oil filler cap. Put the oil filter in last.
Great instructions on replacing the fuel filter. To avoid DPF problems use the best oil and change it every three times inside what the recommended oil change intervals are. Recommended intervals are 25,000 kilometers. Don't go near that - change the oil and filter every 8000 Kilometres. DPF and EGR replacement on the latest OM654 can run into 5 figures.
Even my dealership service manager told me to change it every 8000k's.
Another great video my man ,its great to get a step by step guide of what to do,especially if your not mechanical minded ( like me ) so I thank you for that, looking forward to the next video keep the great work you do👍
Thanks, and keep watching
Great video, not easy working under cars.
Plastic sump plug!
No oil dipstick!
Fiddly nail breaking clips & cheap plastics everywhere!
Burying the air filter, requiring the ECU to be disturbed, crazy!
I drive this model & constantly discover how Merc has lost the plot, for what used to be quality built cars.
Hi very true what you are saying
Hi Gerry may I ask u a question is there no dipstick to extract the oil from the top do you happen to know?
Thank you
Great video Mr, thanks a lot. Do you have also a video for transmission fuel change for w213 220d.
VERY INTERESTING VIDEO!I ll try on mine shortly
How did it go? 😅
Thanks for sharing. Looks straightforward..
Excellent video thanks. Sir I have Mercedes C220D automatic w205 model late 2016 not starting no lights on dashboard please can you help.
Really good video. Show how to do and talk about the important things. Thanks
I was thinking to upgrade from my 2016 S212 to 213, but as I do my service myself I will keep it. It´s more servicefriendly than this, and I still have 234hp and 9g-tronic so what benefit is a 213?
NICE ONE BROTHER I LIKE IT GREAT VIDEOS
Thanks for sharing very helpful sir 👍
Hi, great video.. I have my W213 at the dealer today for service... They almost gave me an heart attack when telling me the net price for this small A3 service.. Final result will be that I in the future will do the service for my estate E220D.
I only have one question!.. No need to air bleed W213 E220D after diesel filter change?
Hi, they are self bleeding most of the time, but sometimes you do get the odd one that you have to bleed
Hey mate;
Any advice of using liqui moly CeraTec ADDITIVES with mobil 1 5w30 ESP for newer Mercedes’ Diesel engines
Thanks in advance
Great video, thank you!🙏✨️👍
Air filter replacement :
This video is completely wrong.
Only 5 clips need to be unscrewed.
All you need is a screwdriver.
Doing so will damage the cover.
Good video mate, the only thing I am concerned about, is the placement of the jack stand. I thought I saw in the video that it wasn't touching the car, although it was under the car just in case the jack slipped. Is this correct? 😊
Great video
Hi can I ask where you purchased your fuel filter from please
Hi I bought the filter from eurocarparts
Abi been a very long time I aint seen you, need to call you and see you soon
Hello have come u never replaced the fine particle filter

Is rally aloed me to think its posibol to change olj
Is drive belt easy to change
It's a chain
Dont think he knew what he was doing 😮
Yep he didnt but he managed to sort it out. It requires another level of skill to do this 👍
6.3 L of oil exactly
The one part of the car where you should not put the ECU,,,,and Mercedes puts it there,,,Mercedes,,,,,,quality they are not.
Why they should not put it there?
At least it's able to breathe and doesn't have water constantly in that location. In my VW group cars (and i'll be honest I love my VWs), the ECU is under the wiper motor, where the drains clog and it's always a wet humid environment. This seems much better.
Just about to buy my first S213 estate (E220d), had a Passat B6 previously to this
Plastic junk,,,on my Dacia duster the whole undertray is solid steel,,,now that's quality..
Shame the rest of it's junk 😅
Dacia is not a luxury car lol. Who cares what's underneath the car it's what's inside that counts. 😂
Plastic junk,,,,on my Dacia duster the sump is made of steel,,,now that's quality..
