When I heard the news about Grandpa last year I sowed some Lupine seeds in his memory. The baby plants made it through winter and are popping up now. I am looking forward to seeing their blooms and I will think of both your Grandpa and my Grandad when I see them
I'm 49 and I lost all my grandparents before I was 6,5 years old, so I don't have many memories. But a lot of us thought about Big Gabe as "our" grandpa. He was such a sweetheart.
I lost my grandfather when I was 11. I feel cheated that I did not get to know him as an adult. I’m 80 now….i still miss him. We were close. I miss your grandpa too. He was such a wonderful man. He became part of our extended families. He’s with you, for sure. Love and hugs to you, Nicole. 💕🌺

Well, crying during a RUclips plant video wasn't on my to-do list for today, but here we are.
Your story touched my grieving heart so hard tonight. I just lost my granddad on February 27....which is also my birthday. He had just turned 100 on Feb. 3rd. I'm so lucky to have had him in my life for so long, I just turned 45. He's the one who taught me how to grow vegetables and my love of the garden. Sharing our love for growing tomatoes was a way to keep us connected. I wish I could share his photo here.
Love to you and your family, and I bet our granddad's are looking down on us smiling and chatting about plants. ❤️
I loved to see your kiss and hear you say “I appreciate you” to your husband. I just lost my husband who helped me a lot in my gardening tasks. Brad seems like a big help.

I had my grandparents into my late 40's early 50's, too. They lived to 99 and 98 years old. My oldest kids, who were old enough to know that they were lucky to have great grandparents, as so many of their classmates didn't even have grandparents any more. I've talked to my oldest daughter about how she dealt with them passing, and she reminded me of how when she was younger, how I would tell my kids to hug them while you got them, because we can't keep people. She said that helped her prepare for the inevitable. Live life with no regrets. I watched all of your grandpa videos. Always remember that you did hug him and he knew how much you loved him. Oh now I have tears and a lump in my throat. Gardening videos are so emotional.

When you said "the Big House" it brought back memories for me. We had an uncle that was not always on the right side of the law. If he wasn't at a holiday, the adults would say "He couldn't be here this time, he's at the Big House." We were pretty old before we realized the Big House was the state prison. Your Big House will be a new place to create new and wonderful memories.
My mom named me Michelle because she loved the Beatles. Love that you named the greenhouse after your grandfather.

Hello from London dear Nicole 😃 You are so incredibly blessed to be surrounded by such a loving and caring family with Grand Pa who started the journey and still looks over you from above, your wonderful Mum who is a treasure to be cherished and so is your Grand Ma. Grief is indeed an incredibly difficult journey for us all as it takes us on a roller coaster of mixed emotions but I know that our loved ones are with us and do send us signs through the song of a robin or the delicate flutter of a butterfly. These Coleus are gorgeous and what fancy names they have ! Funny that they were fashionable when I was young and to see them back in fashion is making me smile. I hope that you will be able to enjoy a little time off on the Easter week-end and cannot wait to hear from your road trip with Brad 💚

What a lovely name and nickname for the greenhouse. We are indeed lucky when the people who matter to us are in our lives for many years. My grandpa died a year ago and his funeral was on my 39th birthday. I was lucky to have him for that long. He became a grandpa for the first time on the day I was born so I found some meaning in having his funeral on my birthday as well.

My deepest sympathy for your family. I lost my sister when she was 14 then my brother this past July he was 48, still struggling with both of their passings. I understand the ups and downs. Just appreciate the memories and know Grandpa's spirit lives on with you.
