    Hey Legen,
    thanks for the videos. The faction description helps with picking a new campaign, even when you already know all of them like me. Sometimes the burden of choice just is too much, and having someone else narrate the faction in a short video is nice to get some motivation going.

    I am on about turn 110 on my Throt campaign VH/VH and few notes:
    - despite what Legend said I prefer Mutant Rat Ogres, before I continue I have to admit I save scummed the hell out of laboratory, that being said MRO have baseline 20%physical resist, you can increase it by 10% with lab, red skill line gives another 10% ("at rank7" skill) and if you have enough mutations you get 10% ward save on top of that, if you turn them undead with lab, they have double regen while in meele - 0.1 from undead/hunger mutation, 0.1 from packmasters around (you should really have some in the army), MRO are bit slower than Brood Horrors but smack way harder and are super tough
    - what I failed to do in my campaign is to steal necromancer, my undead allies don't have necros, even after end game crisis hit they didn't have any :( I wanted to steal necromancer to have healer for my undead MRO's, but that's excessive anyways
    - chieftan heroes are quite OK in monster armies, they are pretty strong heroes and they get a mount, and while on this mount (and only then) they count as "clan moulder unit" for the purpose of Throt's healing ability/packmasters ability

    • @dweebjohnson
      @dweebjohnson Год назад +1

      I dont like MRO. They are considerably slower, with BH you can go even for mutation to give them missile resist and they will still be fast. You can effectivelly cyclocharge with them, and most importantly, they have natural regen. 20% resist is nothing, because damage output of just 10 BH is soo much, that you can have two teams one on standby with regen, one in melee and it will still wreck chaos in enemy lines. Also with that speed you can outmanuever almost all armies.
      They also have much better animation, so in combat they are more effective.

    Throt's campaign is really fun if you like to experiment a lot. It grew on me after playing it a few times. The depth of this faction mechanic is insane based solely on the amount of mutation/unit combination possibilities.
    You can even abuse the instability and maximise it on wolf rats to turn them into suicide bombers when combined with the stalk mutation.
    While the Eshin Shadowy dealings might indeed be potentially stronger than the Flesh Lab, I found it by far less fun.
    Fun fact: you can even apply mutations to your regiments of renown in case you like to use those (barring they aren't artillery/mechanical)
    The only thing I'm personally sad about in the DLC is that there are no Packmaster Lords with unique learnable traits/skills for monsters. I really like Rat Ogre armies and enjoy the way packmaster heroes and Throt speak.

    THROT IS BUGGED. Hey man, the mutagen mechanic is bugged. In Warhammer 2 there was a graphic bug for the limit of mutagen and when it would degrade (red numerals when they shouldn't be) in Warhammer 3 this is really broken. Regardless of if you have the laboratory upgrade for mutagen storage it will degrade over 100. I put a video out about this but I'm not going to jack your feed.

    Can't recommend this campaign enough.. my favorite in the game so far.
    Filling Throt's army with monsters each with +7 mutations and no instability is difficult and takes time even with save-scumming, but once done, that army gotta be the most entertaining army I've used.
    The Flesh Lab also provides a lot of variety, you are not limited to monster armies.. You can build Eshin-style army with Throt that's way better than anything you can get with Snikch (Eshin Triads and Death Runners with Regeneration, Frenzy, extra speed and stats are broken af and fun to play with).

      One of my beloved mutated abominations died, so when I tried to juice up a new one it ended with an instability. I said screw that and gave the thing EVERY instability possible. I ended up with a giant and crumbling (but somehow durable) time bomb that I was able to vanguard deploy behind the enemy lines.
      Being so big, it attracted the attention of at least 3 enemy units that tried to kill it. Turns out, with all the augments and instabilities, I could cast like 3 different types of explotions and AOE effects to devastate those enemies.
      As you mentioned, having many mutations with no instabilities is REALLY hard, but sometimes you can go nuts with them and find something fun, like, if you do the same thing with a brood horror, you get a really fast creature that can jump into the enemy line and blow them up (however, you really need to time the abilities, because the brood horror will not last as long as the abomination does)

    The best Throt campaing on legendary I had was when I ignored kislev, except that first settlement that is not a big detour and went directly agaisnt dwarfs.
    I recruited lord on 1st turn and let him jump on 3rd as far towars Throgg, he was already in war with dwarfs so I joined his war, and put some sugar on top of the deal. I managed to get aliance and I jumped to also block him from harvesting dwards. So on turn 7 I had complete norther province and strong ally. Throgg then went to conquer the rest of Norsca and I had all the time and resources to steamroll all over Kislev and Empire.
    Sooo much food, sooo much mutagens, SO MANY BROOD HORRORS with 5+ mutations!

    The problem with Skaven conquering Kislev is that Skaven don't really get anything out of the rural provinces. Skaven get the bulk of their income from the warp reactor building chain, which is major settlements only. Those increase the money you make from every building in the whole province. Because the Kislevite cities are separate provinces entirely, you can't boost your minor settlements. This makes Kislev literally the worst region on the whole map for Skaven to conquer. (other than Ulthuan or other red climate territories) For this reason alone I dislike playing as Throt, because Kislev is such a shitty region to own. The Greenskin wasteland has better infrastructure than Kislev, which is just dumb in every way.

    Legend, great video! I am a long time follower, since WH1 days. I just today re-watched the first ever Dark Elf Malekith Campaign WH2 Mortal Empires playthrough of yours, the first one on the channel. Now I want to say, I love how you changed and how you grew as a person and a content creator. I think it takes great courage to step away from the person you were and transition like this, especially in public! When watching that playthrough, I kept wondering: "what would today's Legend think of this?" And not of the edgy jokes etc, more of how much you have improved as a player since WH1/2 came out? In that campaign you said (ep.#3 dark elves campaign) "skaven suuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!", which I found sooo funny as today skaven is your fav race.
    Maybe you could review your old footage/gameplay from a few years ago and react to it? If you remove the edgy comments it could still be really entertaining. Just an idea, maybe a good material for a funny video or two?
    Thanks for all of the entertainment your provide us! Cheers!

    5:37 - I'd argue its the most powerful for if you're wanting to run a "balanced" army composition since even the tier 1 mutations can all make individual units across your whole army perform somewhat better. Like how you can put +20 armor on all your Skaven Clanrats and make them perform considerably better in melee as a result if you also boost their leadership from other sources.

    I''d like it if you could go through which A.I factions are the strongest/weakest compare to each other when playing IM, not just in battle but overall during both the campaign map and battles. What I'm looking for is to understand which factions I can count on to survive/be destroyed without me having to save/destroy them myself.
    On example is that I've noticed how Kislev-factions usually get destroyed in my playthroughs without me getting involved and when I play as a order-faction I have to save them from demons, vampires etc. Is it just luck/unluck?
    I'm sure you have more insight into this than me and I appriciate the way you explain things like these.
    Also there campaign review videos are great!

    Hey Legend, any chance for Kraka Drak campaign? You played one in 2020 but you used an outdated buggy mod.

      From what I know legend from wh2 release onward never really liked using mods, and have used them only when there was a content drought. Considering he is not streaming regularly anymore, i don't think that will happen (unless ca releases northern dwarfs DLC or kraka dark FLC)

      @@Arthurio99 i know, but a man can dream. There is an amazing norse dwarf mod, in development since wh1 times. And Legend somehow missed it and istead used simple faction unlocker. Outdated too.

    Hey Legend, could you upload a 5/10-turn guide on your Clan Angrund skavenblight rush strategy? Ive been trying to do the turn 3 seige battle but i have trouble both dodging the nuke and dealing with the vigour penalty. I would love to see your strategy and how you went about the battle ❤

      Are you using the Rangers to cap the points and not keeping them with the main army? Since they have Stalking Stance and cant be seen

      Just wait for the army to leave skavenblight. I tried a new campaign that way. The garrison should be easy to deal with. Then sit outside the city and ambush stance and wait for the inevitable counterattack after you recruit a few more units and heal up.

      @@Ozzyfudd13 I actually found it very difficult to find a free path for them, so isntead i used them as a fakeout then sent in all the heroes and belegar on the other side who tanked half the army then capped the main point.

    Do you unlock the higher up mutations on a unit by unit basis, or are they unlocked for all future units once you have used the lower ones at least once?

    • @campbellbruce3378
      @campbellbruce3378 Год назад

      Unlocked for all units after you unlock

    • @dmitriyk.2890
      @dmitriyk.2890 Год назад

      You just need to use it once to unlock higher level mutations, but there are separate mutation trees for infantry and monsters. And you apply them for each unit separatelly. Ikit Claws upgrades just apply to all units of specific type in comparison.

      The hexagon web you saw is for Infantry (as in all infantry units) and Monsters (as in all Monsters). Both have their own web, but unlocking a mutation in the monster web will allow you to give it to all of your monsters, not type restricted. Same for infantry. Unlocking by using the adjacent Mutations in the tier below.

    • @Theo-ou6sq
      @Theo-ou6sq Год назад

      its the latter, you have to use each one in the tree for infantry or monster augments but you can use a bunch of mutations on trash units to unlock the good stuff
