The C4 seems to give a darker shinier finish but for the money has to be Turtle Wax. I put two coats of the Turtle Wax on some plastic in the garden (I'm in the UK) about four months ago and it still looks as good as the day I put it on. Good video, many thanks 👍
Thank you for watching and the feedback. 4 months outside thats amazing. Both are great products, for the money yes Turtle Wax cheaper in cost. But the C4 which is well priced goes along way. TBH you can't go wrong with either choice. Cheers!
Really good video thanks. I have a vauxhall mokka aka opel mokka and there is a lot of plastic i am using autoglym bumper and tyre shine but i definitely going to get some of the turtle 🐢 wax 👍🇬🇧
I have both of these products too. I like the C4 on finer detailer areas since i can get a small qtip with the c4...the turtle wax is messy and not as easy for finer detailed areas. I like the turtle wax for under the hood plastic too.
Thank you for watching, great feedback. Yes I use both for certain jobs. The C4 is definitely an upgraded option for a detail. The turtle wax is messy but a nice product. For the cost cant beat it.
Thank you for the follow up. The C4 lasted a little longer. But the truck wasn't used as much and had a mild winter. I did get some footage, I will go back and see if I can locate it. Im going to be making another one soon with 4/5 products on plastic panel and leave it outside & in the sun all summer. I think that would be a great real world test & I will definitely be staying on top of that one for follow ups. Hope you had a great weekend!
Wow really, sorry to hear that. I have applied this product hundreds of times and never had an issue. Can you tell me how you cleaned and applied the C4 ( in the sun, did it rain shortly after applying, etc) ? Did you contact Gtechniq about this issue? My first thoughts are the white spots are due to some previous product that wasn't fully removed in the cleaning process and it caused a chemical reaction to turn white. Thank you
@@detailersgarage to be completely honest with you, I had everything all wiped down. Yes I did do it outside. There was no rain or anything like that. But if you Google issues with this product, there are multiple forms with people having this exact issue. I did it on my mirrors and it turned out perfect but on the bed rails and on the back tailgate it absolutely destroyed it. I have to figure out a way to get it off or reapply some type of a dye on it to get it to turn black again. Otherwise I'm forced to replace it
I will say though the c2v3 is probably the best stuff I've ever used so that's why I was super confused when I was having an issue with the trim restore. I'll have to test it out on another vehicle in another spot where it's not so noticeable.
@@fmfpower20 I see, thank you for the information. I was never aware of these issues. I will do some digging around and see if I can find out some information about this. If I get anything helpful I will definitely reach out to you. I talk to some gtech installer buddies to see what their thoughts are on this as well. The mirrors were a different plastic and it accepted it well while the others didn't. Are the mirrors more the smoother type of plastic and the bed rails are more the texted type of plastic?
@@fmfpower20 I agree 100%, love C2V3. I try all the hyped products and some are very good. But year in and out I always go to the C2V3. Some people complain it's only rated for 6 months ( they were the first many years ago to have this type of product and all these later everyone started to catch up to them). I think that's funny people only do it once and then not again for 6 months lol. Another product I use a lot is the Cherry Flash from Malco. Amazing and underrated product. Carnauba-synthetic mix. It also works better on older not as well maintained cars. They should be coming out with V4 later this year or early next year. Can't wait to see what they improved on.

Never gave the update of these which one lasted longer?

No update?
Soon and I will be making another one with a few products and leaving it outside for the winter season. Thank you!
8 month update?
Soon thank you!!
🙌✌️
Are you kidding me? Should you not be testing out a trim restorer on some faded trim that needs to be restored? So we can see if it works?
Cerakote for the win imo
C4 RUINED the trim on my truck. Bed rails are spoted white and look like shit. Worst product. Im not the only one others have had this issue to.

we’re the up sate
Thank you for watching, I will make an update video soon.
Well I used this product .. never again terrible
Are you referring to the Turtle Wax? What did you not like about it?
I used the turtle wax once. It's terrible on smooth plastic trim.
No matter what you try, there'll always be wipe marks.
Thank you for watching and the feedback. I will check that out. I haven't had any issues that I noticed but I will look into more.
