Nice walkthrough and explanation of your system. I was thinking of doing something similar to the 2022 GMC Sierra Denali when it comes in. I ordered one with the 6.2L so it should be a nice venture when it comes in. Thanks for the detail and decibel count bud, most helpful.
@@ordinary_arkansan It really does make a difference, every added detail helps and you went above and beyond on the detail. I used to have a 17 Silverado LTZ Z71 Midnight Edition w/6.2L under the hood and I had elected to go with the Corsa Sport exhaust on that one. Boy was that pricey but it sounded great only for me to find out that I could have done what you did for a fraction of the price and get better flow through on the system. Ya live and ya learn I guess. Keep up the reviews. I'm subbing your channel. 😎
this was great man, i just did a true dual cat back on my 06 2500hd 6.0 with 6" tips and its just brutaly loud, the clap is sweet but man its just obnoxious, i dont want to do a muffler cause it will be to quiet the x pipe seems to take just enough edge off the true dual and i plan to take mine to get the X pipe soon to tame the obnoxiousness
Haha yeah. 😄 I enjoy hearing myself think when driving. If this wasn't my daily, I'd be ripping them out. One day I'll get long tube headers and high flow cats.
Do it, man! I love the setup. With the X-pipe on it, it doesn't really pop like a straight pipe would, but it's still loud. I would just get someone who you trust knows what they're doing. 3in all the way back is the best way to go!
@@ordinary_arkansan ok, thanks bro. I have the shadow grey trail boss I got fresh off the transport truck and I ordered all black emblems for it so I already de badged all the badges and I’m waiting for the black badges to come in so then the black muffler tips and exhaust is next.
I have a question... I have a 2021 silverado 6.2 and I’m wanting to take off the HDMI tips lol..... I already got a flowmaster on it.... sounds pretty good but I’m wanting duel tips can you please tell me the size I need..... inlet” and outlet”
3 in would be the best size and whatever size outlet you want. You'll have to get a shop to cut and weld the ends because of how the exhuast points down at the end.
@@ordinary_arkansan interesting. i have a muffler delete and soon i want to do something different, but i dont want to go for a muffler rather i think ill go for this setup. thanks man
Awesome. Yeah, I had a muffler delete and it just wasn't loud enough 😆. I love this setup! My shop did 3in pipe with the X. You could do 2.5 and it wouldn't be as loud if you're worried about the drone.
No. I just had a local shop put it in. They fabricated it all. I'd just find someone local you'd trust to do it. It only costed $400 for them to do it (4 hours of work). I'd make sure they really know what they're doing and take their time.

Appreciate it. Nobody ever does a decibel reading to give a better idea of how loud exhaust systems are. So I decided to haha

Sounds great man. Has a lot of tone. Tips looks great.
Appreciate it!

Yeah, I don't like clapping and the X for sure smooths it all out.
Looks great and sounds great! Good Job!
Cerakote would have done the trick, the new tips look great tho.
I had to look up what that was. haha
That does seem like it would have worked better. Thanks!
Nice man im about to do duel x pipe to true duels no mufflers on my 19 at4 6.2
Lol you still have cats… thats cute.

Can you post link or description to these exact quad tips - thanks.
Just dropped the link into the description.
I want this set up on my trail boss with the 6.2L

@@ordinary_arkansan where did you get the x pipe? And 3 inch I would agree especially for a 6.2L v8.
@@ordinary_arkansan also can you send me the link for the black quad tips bro?
Any good muffler shop will have some. The tips are linked in the description.

couldn't help but notice you are in the mountain view area. I am in batesville. Mind me asking what shop you had do your work?
Awesome. Lemmons out at Calico Rock. Dude does amazing work and is way more affordable than the guys I've had work done from in Batesville.
@@ordinary_arkansan Thanks man, appreciate the information!

@@ordinary_arkansan thx I appreciate the quick response ordering the tips tonight.
Awesome! You're welcome!
What did you cut off and install from beginning to end?
Did you dyno tune , self tune, or preloaded tune with device?
Straight pipe from the cats all the way back. No tune.
Can you li k the exhaust kit?
It's a custom exhaust I had a local shop do. There's no kit for it.
Comment for the algorithm 🤷♂️🤙
You're crazy!!! Lol
its need cutting any things to fit ?
Nope.
hows the drone?
It's honestly not too bad for how loud it is. The only time I really notice it is when I'm cruising at 75.

Are these 3 inch tips or 3.5 . You said 3.5 in video but link to amazon says 3 inch .
2.5 to 3.5. Wesdon has multiple size variations on Amazon.
@@ordinary_arkansan cool I ordered the 2.5 to 3.5 that’s coming in today just hoping it fits good like that is all
My local shop had to expand the inlets for me since the exhaust they put on is 3in, but that shouldn't be hard if you/your shop has the right stuff.
Does it void warranty
No.
Do you have parts no. For everthing

@@ordinary_arkansan did they cut and remove the resonator flap?
Yes.
What size pipe?
3in
Any loss of power
No. It feels like I have a little more at higher rpms (stepping on it on the interstate).
why would there be a loss? if anything a gain top end
@@solerzyoutube that's what did happen. I'm sure I would have lost some HP if they put smaller pipes in.
@@ordinary_arkansan if they put smaller than stock maybe but otherwise it would be a small gain
Right. Thats what I'm saying. 👍
It's like pimples don't mess with it
To each their own. 🤷♂️
Pop that sucker!
