Easy Install for Side Step Lights
These lights were installed on my 2021 Silverado. Here is a quick overview (but the best way) of how I installed led strip lights on my Magnum RT lights. It is not the most detailed video ever, but it gets the main points across. This was a pretty simple install that most people could do themselves.

19-22 6.2L Silverado Oil Change
Просмотров 23 тыс.3 года назад
This is my first oil change for my new 2021 6.2L. I just give an overview of how to change oil in these new Silverados, some tips and tricks, and why I change my own oil. You don't have to change your oil every 5,000 like in the older trucks. This new oil is made better and made to go longer. Trust what you vehicle says when it says you need to change your oil.

So dual exhaust, no muffler, no resonators, just OEM CAts and x pipe??
@@timothyberlinski2299 correct
Which yellow wire. Multiple ones.
@@jamesedwards9754 youll have to check the BCM Diagram for your model.
They want before tax 114 to do my oil change
Too much moving you need to hold the camera steady Dude.
@@mh-uk4vq just move your head with it. 😆
@@ordinary_arkansan Uncalled for comment, besides not everyone has a head that is loose 😮
Where did you get led strips
@@ludgerobarbosa8781 from Magnum steps
@@ordinary_arkansan you have the link to it please thanks
Why do american car makers don't use top oil filter like most EU :(
Hi quick question. So the positive cable goes to the gray cable and negative to battery negative?? Thank you
Correct.
Thanks you!!!! @@ordinary_arkansan
Great video. My top is being delivered today. Hopefully my install will go as well as yours did.
I have 2024 gmc sierra 1500 densli. Try hook up step light. I don’t know with wires to hook up? Did you know with bcm or elm? Please help
Sorry. I'm sure the 2024 is different. I'm not sure what it would be on those. I'm sure you can find a diagram online.
What size pipe?
3in
Magnets work really well to hold the inside front flap
Yeah, I've seen guys use magnets for the front and back.
You forgot to blank out the license plate in the beginning of the video.
I’ve been driving in L9 until my Pulsar arrives. After pulsar install can I just go back to Drive?
Yes. 👍
We have a 2019 high country. 6.2. We average 25 highway. 20 miles back and forth to work.
Nice I like it. But why do people hide their plates? Don’t everybody see your plates anyway
Any change in fuel economy?
None that I can tell.
Looks good..and I did my 2018 chevy silverado 1500 but I used red led
You never talked about the pen tip under the cap where the paint is!
Does yours leak water into the bed at the front(closest to cab) at the end of the bed rail?
Great electrical connection, thanks!
Nice man im about to do duel x pipe to true duels no mufflers on my 19 at4 6.2
How did you know what BCM and pin connector to go with? Do you have a diagram?
There's a few links to diagrams in the comments.
@@ordinary_arkansan Gotcha, yeah I found them in a previous video, not in this current one. Thanks
Do you know if the articulating running boards are connected to the BCM by chance?
@Alex Foust www.gmupfitter.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/UI-Bulletin-155b-1.pdf
If so, I have been trying to figure this out forever.
So it does fade on and off with the dome lights?
Yes. It fades on and off when the doors open and on unlock. If I turn (all) the dome lights on, they will also turn on.
@@ordinary_arkansan so it’s the white block closest to the driver seat and gray wire?
@@matthewholmes6428 Yeah, whatever I say in the video (I don't remember off the top of my head).
Thanks I just don’t want the lights on constantly
Thank you for your time! Very informative!
What lights are these?
Theyre just cheap rock lights from O'Reilly's..
@@ordinary_arkansan thx bro
Can you li k the exhaust kit?
It's a custom exhaust I had a local shop do. There's no kit for it.
Why would you leave wiring on the underneath of the truck? Maybe run the wires from inside the passenger compartment thru the grommets for each step area. Run all you wiring along in Wire channel inside the truck. Nothing to see that way.
The way these lights are setup, there's no way there's enough wire to do that. Besides, if you get underneath my truck no wires are exposed or seen. I've ran them high and tight and inside conduit.
Where did you find your Accent Lights and the Lights name? I appreciate it.
They are just some cheap rock lights from Auto Zone. Honestly, I'm probably changing them out soon. Any led lights will work.
Do the lights come on when you hit the lock and/or the unlock button on the key?
They come on with the unlock and fade off with lock.
Changed my oil in all my vehicles 4 wheeler and tractor , mowers Harley since I was 15 years old .. 45 years now .. I know dealer drained oil in car never put oil back in car, person drove away blew engine up ..
I just can’t believe the Camaro 6.2 takes 10 quarts
I have the 21 Sierra 1500 at4 6.2 with 6 inch lift and 35s and surprisingly I get around 18 mph does a little better on longer trips.
Hey I need some help I have a 2022 Gmc 1500 Denali. Brought some Led lights to add to my running board. I tied them into the door sill lights. Every time the lights come on they flicker and then come on. When they go off the flicker then off. What can I do to get full power to the running board lights. I know the dome lights has a dimmer on them. Thanks
Did you go through the BCM like I did? Mine will sometimes flicker if my truck is off, but other than that they never flicker. What kind of LED lights are they? You may need to get some that don't require as much power, maybe?
Hi : I Bought a running boat For My 2019 Toyota Rav4 blue wire I connect to Door light (domes Light ) White wire I connect to fuel Box running signal Red wire I connect to Turn signal Black wire I connect to Ground But only work for turns single When I opened the door They don't have light come out Can you tell me what's wrong Thanks
Hey, I'm sorry, I can't really help with this. I'm not familiar with the Toyotas.
Does anybody ever check the REAL milage of these trucks? Yes, you have to do some math, sorry but these computers in the vehicles are not accurate on their milage.
Yeah, I did. I mentioned it in another video. I was surprised it was only like .2 off (can't remember exactly).
i just got myself 6.2 ESV and i hate how it switches from V8 to V4 i dont want to save gas if i wanted to i would never buy a 6.2L. Do you like the set up? also do you need to reprogram again if you take it off and put it back on for example to go to dealer service. Thanks bud
Hey, yeah I really love this setup (I'm st 30,000 miles now). They didn't have handheld tuners when I bought this so it was the only option. I also had the DFM and that was the main reason why I got it. I'm pretty sure I'd you take it off it automatically goes back to stock and then when you put it back on you have to reprogram it. I haven't had to take it off yet.
Ive had it on my 6.2 trailboss and wow luv the truck powertrain so much more better than my last two f150 5.0 sooo much more better.
Just hand tight the oil filter. Nothing else
Some ppl are cool with that. I like to give a little turn from the oil filter wrench (that doesn't hurt anything). Either way is fine, in my humble opinion.
this was great man, i just did a true dual cat back on my 06 2500hd 6.0 with 6" tips and its just brutaly loud, the clap is sweet but man its just obnoxious, i dont want to do a muffler cause it will be to quiet the x pipe seems to take just enough edge off the true dual and i plan to take mine to get the X pipe soon to tame the obnoxiousness
Yeah, I don't like clapping and the X for sure smooths it all out.
Those LEDs are rad!!
the other side of the foam seal isn't sticky.
You're right. That was my mistake.
Was this filmed with a potato?
