@@euclidYT unfortunately they will never be up to the same quality of a AAA game. but i would also rather play a good game for a few bucks, rather than a 70 buck game i can barely run, that will try to send a hitman to my home to steal my wallet.

Its crazy how this looks so good. If you were to ask someone when this was made, they might think it is from the early 2000's. And just out of curiosity, are you thinking of a story for the game?

I feel like the game is a bit too pixelated.
It looks very pixelated on my phone screen, I can't imagine how large the pixel will look on a 27inch monitor or a 55 inch TV.
The games lighting is very cool though

I really want to see in detail how you overcame a lot of the complexities of the ALS framework. I can't stop breaking it evertime I try to use it.
bro forget about how incredible this game looks, or how sick the animations look, the way you solve issues is sooo amazing, like the lag fix, the enemy shooting you only if you are standing still, so so so smart and amazing. keep doing what you are doing. 10/10 problem solving skills

Maybe show the protagonist doing some tricks in the thumbnail? I don't know
I think it's important the thumbnail catches the vibe of the game / shows something important in the game. Here, your protagonist is just crouching and shooting at someone. Maybe spice it up by showing him doing insane tricks while killing the other dude :)

I really love the look you're trying to achieve and the idea behind it. The mechanics are really unique and original as well. It's fast paced and rewarding as well. It's really well thought out and I would like to see where this goes. I know it's going to be very popular.
honestly, I'm getting this as soon as you guys are ready to release. the game looks smooth, the pixel shader contrasts really well with the cyberpunk setting. The combat system is really fluid and satisfying, and the aesthetic reminds me a lot of Katana Zero (as well as the bullet time scenes). Great job so far

I am so glad this was recommended to me. This looks amazing. Love the art style, love the gameplay loop of doing awesome tricks to get higher scores. Movement looks fluid as well which is great. Hopefully it supports Ultrawide, if not guess ill play it on my 16:9 monitor which is fine. It looks so damn good man. These are the games that you can play for wayyyyy longer than you would expect. this looks like it will be so fun! i really liked your original bald character design i think it be cool if you could unlock it by typing in a cheat code in the main menu like retro games back in the day

Some of the 'add point' sounds reminds me of fail/complete build sounds from UE though, instant PTSD
I too am into Unreal Engine development and that sound of Unreal Engine success compilation on the scoring effects in your game - triggers me all the time :D

That only up rip is funny, cause when it was blowing up on twitch I immediately noticed it was ALS with some props scattered around. Also game is looking fun and unique, great devlog!

Looks great, keep up the great work. Mind you, there was no lighting in older games (ps1 era) they just displayed base color and colored in shaders into the texture. There's a lot about z buffer and tons of other topics. Good Luck!

I hope the visual doesn't change from this pixilated look. It looks amazing.
Smart on the spawn boxes as this is something done in older games. But there's also this really cool thing called object culling that makes it so anything not seen by the camera doesn't get rendered and therefor doesn't affect performance. Also, I actually didn't mind the way the old version looked, but the new version is an upgrade no doubt! Awesome work! Looks fun as hell!!!

This is the first time I am actually impressed by a devlog usally its not like that deep like low polly kinda or some lack luster stuff kind of low effort , I was massively impressed and i have to say the art style is a hit DW it was what caught my eye the most it looks really nice
