Will this support up to 1200lb tongue weight? My travel trailer has a 955lb tongue weight dry and a 6,863lb dry weight with a 1,092lb cargo capacity. Making it a total of 7,955lbs gvwr . I figured after filling propane tanks and a battery installed it will be around the 1,055lb mark then with some additional stuff added to the trailer I would believe it would make the tongue weight more. A dealer is telling me that the 800lb version is ok to use because it supports up to 1000lbs.
Anthony, please see Camco website for all the details. They do make a 1200 lbs WD and they are rated for more then the listed weight. You might what to check into the R6 instead of the R3 line.
You can always double check with the tech-support at Camco.
What kind of maintenance is required for the R3?
My saddle on the passenger side tends to move. I’ve adjusted and tightened it as much as possible. Any ideas?
Did you install that thin metal plate? That’s supposed to help keep in place.

Also I’m sure if you contact the reps at Camco they will take care of you they’re pretty good company in the back of their products pretty decently.
