Lexus was really ahead of its time back then. They went crazy with the ls’s the 400’s & the 430’s. Love my 430 can never get rid of it🙏🏾😮💨
They was. I kinda miss my 400 but maybe one day I’ll get another one. But definitely keep the 430. Thanks for watching bro 💯💯
Another pro for me is the styling
Understated and elegant
Definitely! It looks like a classic 90’s car
Just figured I'd comment for any future buyer:
There is a way to manually adjust your steering without the motor. Lookup Ls400 steering wheel gear replacement. The center of where the gear attached can be spun with a wrench and moves the wheel.
Great tip!
Honestly it was really helpful to hear about the insulation i never would have thought of that. Im looking to get a car by the end of the year and I really want an ls400 and I love music and am planning on installing subs its really good to know. Thank you so much man
No problem bro I’m glad I was able to help 💯💯
The ecu caps have a service life of 20 years give or take you can have them rebuilt. And as far as the tilt steering motor it’s usually just the gear it’s a small easy fix. I’ve had my 93 for almost 4 years and I’ve fixed a lot because it wasnt maintained but it’s been pretty good to me she just rolled over to 360k miles.
That’s good to know! Thanks for the info 💯💯
my LS 430 did 30 mpg on the highway. thanks to the six speed !
That’s really good
Can attest to the dash gauges being funky. Had to slap my dash to get the speedo working for a couple months after i bought mine lol
Definitely a problem with these cars is the gauges lol but I’ll take that any day of how reliable this car is.
I've owned my 2000 for 20 years and have had to periodically smack the dash to get the speedo and tach needles to register. The issue comes and goes but hasn't done it for a year or so.
Otherwise the cluster works fine and has never been serviced.
Thank you for this video I’m planning on picking up a 1991 ls400 it’s 7,000 150k mileage not sure if this is a good price for the car I’m jus starting doing my research on this car n I fell in love wit it
That’s reasonable especially if it’s clean the LS400’s hold their valve. But when you get it you’re definitely gonna love it.
I get 28 mpgs with my 98 LS so not sure how yours is being driven.
Liftime average on my '99 is 23mpg. Best tank was just over 27mpg - all hand calculated. Great fuel economy for a 25 year old V8!
Idk tbh I never dogged it
I disconnected the steering motor because I didn’t want it to break and it was just annoying
I didn’t know you can do that.
🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯
Appreciate the support bro 💯💯

I think it is. It’s very reliable and comfortable
What made you get rid of tha 400 bruh?
I bought my Q50
@@CarAdventuresWithRegyou like the q50 better than the ls400 so far?
@@user-pi8fn6wm9j Yes I like the Q50 more than the LS400
