I own one of these, they ride beautifully stock, I simply couldn’t bring myself to ruining that key aspect of the vehicle. Sounds better than it has any right to be though 😮
The stock Y split at the back is absolutely horrendous too. If you look closely they(Toyota) decided to essentially squish the two tail pipe pieces flat in order to accommodate the angles/bends to run the fake duals. I’m not doubting Toyota engineers or assuming it would make the stock car run better without it but it’s nasty.
If my car is low, then police would bother checking my car because i can just put straight X pipe with opening and closing values with a small mufler when valves are closed and no cats to mufflers when valves are open
Missing my '98 LS400 pearl white, beautiful car. Unfortunately the trans was slipping pretty bad and I sold it for a song to a friend, hopefully he rebuilt it. Great project car.
