OK I wasn't expecting a girl when I clicked the thumbnail (and I wasn't looking at user name). This is very cool. I'm hoping to get a LS400 98-2000 very soon and do a dual system (with h-pipe) and high flow cats.
The welds and fabrication look great. However - WTF were you thinking when you welded directly to the catalysts?!? You built the entire system as one piece - how would/could you ever remove the exhaust to work on other parts of the car? Using a die grinder with a cut-off wheel, you could have spent 20 minutes cutting off the heads of the bolts holding the Y pipe to the catalysts; then ground down the bolt remains flush to the flanges. That would have kept the catalyst flanges intact so your system could have been BOLTED to the catalysts rather than welded. I literally just did this last night.
Редко. Их надо варить исключительно на позиционное и в специальном алюминиевом зажиме, чтобы не уводило. Иначе будет подпердывать. Слип-он соединения самые простые и надежные если правильно все сделать.
I’m looking to do something similar on my ls400- so you know if a system like this would be suitable for still keeping the comfort levels up? I don’t want it to be TOO loud at highway speeds or upon start, ad I have some cranky neighbors
