    Epic review! Recently I've started to look at the fujicrons seriously again. As a landscape photographer I'm pretty tired of lugging around a large backpack filled with heavy zooms even though they get handy at times. I already have two fujicrons them being the 35/2 and the Laowa 9/2.8 and been very happy with them so far. Of course compositions may need more work sometimes with fixed focal length and maybe sometimes I may not be able to get a shot due to lack of reach or difficult terrain but I'm starting to believe that I could do just nice with a good set of the tiny fujicrons.

      I love my Fujicrons, really hope sooner or later they come up with updated versions of them👌

    My man, great review and good opinions. Also, solid fluent English skills too. ✌️
    I wish they would redo the 18f2 even if they went to 18f2.8 just to keep it small, quick, and WR.
    I'm looking at this and the viltrox 13 also. I think I can live with a 23, 18 and one ultra wide as a kit.

      4:48 and 4:49 are such nice images. They look like sci-fi landscapes.

    What about Laowas newly released and very compact 10mm f4 ‘Cookie’?
    Great video and beautiful photos!

      I've been watching the reviews on the Cookie and they all seem to mention how soft the images are. Darn shame cause it would be fun to shoot with.

    • @torb-no
      @torb-no Год назад

      @@rogernuffer There's always a compromise, but I sometimes find those reviews to be unreasonable.
      The regular Laowa 9mm 2.8, Fuji XF23mm f2, XF35mm f2 and the lens of X100F have all been lambasted for being terrible since they're not sharp at *EVERY* aperture and distance. But they are all pretty good, thoguh, not good for everything. (Haven't tested the Laowa though, but many love that as well).
      So I'd be interested in the characteristics of exactly how they perform. For example, the only situation the XF23mm f2 is soft if if you're both very close and completely open aperture (it's sharp from f4)… so it's all about what you need.

    Love the episode! I have mine and love it! Only one thing that I wish you would have shared with the laowa. It’s a small thing that I found out only after and I think it is good for people to know going in. You had mentioned the detachable hood which is really nice. The only thing about it is it doesn’t fit in the lens if you have a filter on it. Like I said not a big thing but probably good for people to know. I’m the kind of person that wants to have protection filters on all my lens and now I mostly just keep the lens hood at home never really using but that’s mainly because I cant. Anyways that’s my only comment. Great review! You are right it truly should be up there in the pantheon of fujicrons!!

      Thanks a lot!🙏 The filter situation you described is odd to me since I have no problems with it whatsoever... I have pretty thick B+W UV filter and with it screwed on the hood clips on and off no problem🤔

    Can this be used on the Sony A7c as looking for a wide lens low in weight as I use a Crane gimbal?

      @@SergioMusel Hi one last question...Is the picture still as good on a full frame with the Laowa Lens as with the aps camera?, also is there another good wide lightweight lens to use with the same set up above around 250g. Many thanks for your time and help. Icecy :)

      @@ThaiMyStyle Haven't tried many lenses for Sony, can't advise on that😁 But I'm sure there are plenty of options for wideangle lenses for Sony E-mount
