  • In this video I got through how I pack the Yamaha WR250R for an upcoming adventure ride. I also go through what I pack into the bags for my dual sport adventure. Everyone packs a little differently and chooses different compromises on what to take. I am always looking for new ways to save space and weight with my camping setup, so please let me know if there is something I have missed.
    Enjoy the vid,

    Nice set up for soft luggage & bags! Looks really good. I have a similar set up for my WR250R, different brand of bags, but very similar. I have side racks on mine as sometimes I use the hard bags off my Triumph Tiger 800 on it. I find the side racks really help for protection when I eventually crash too. They are aluminium racks as well as is the rack on the back. Since I don't have the big fuel tank like you do, I have a few RotoPax I use for extra fuel & one for water. I use dry bags where you use duffels on the back. Keeps everything dry. Have a great time! Looks like a really nice ride & destination.

      +Evil Droid sounds like a great setup. For longer trips i might have to go that way to carry the fuel i need. We shall see...

    Cheers for the reply. I was thinking it was late then realised you are in WA! i am in QLD. About to head out for a 4 day adventure so I might pick one up. Thanks for the vids. Gave me some great ideas for my WR. Have you gone with an IMS 18L tank now? Love to see a video comparison when you get used to it :-)

    Awesome bike! I was wondering if you knew how many liters you're big duffel bag is? I'm trying to figure out the best way to carry gear on the WRR.

      +Buzzluxx Thanks :) And yes I do. The big duffle bag is 35 litres, made by SW-Motech www.motorradgarage.com.au/rear-bag-dry-bag-34-ltr-black-bags-connection

    Just wondering what size AirHawk you went with and how it's working out?

    • @chroniclesofsolid
      @chroniclesofsolid  7 лет назад

      I went with the Pillion Small www.motorradgarage.com.au/airhawk/airhawk-cushion-pillion-small.
      It fits the skinny dual sport seat perfectly and its the cheapest :-D. On the longer rides it is well worth it IMO. Day rides I don't bother.
      Hope that helps,

    Hey COS! How's it going?
    I've got the Safari 14l tank on my motorbike, I do have a fmf pipe and header as well as the programmer. Just wondering what is the max and average kms you get on your wr? Last I tested mine through sand and some highway I got 300kms while reserve is on, but have not run it dry.

      +Eddie Kwiecien About 300ks if a lot of it is off road. Maybe 320ks possibly a bit more going easy. Hope that helps?

      +chroniclesofsolid Cheers mate, yes I have the fairing too with the bike made from Safari, fits onto the Safari Tank. www.offroadexplorer.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/DSC_0268-1024x683.jpg
      My set up look practically like this, except no plastic kit yet, need to get it done professionally. Different exhaust and a few extra goodies.

      +chroniclesofsolid I uploaded a photo here of mine, this was quiet a few months ago now. Got Dunlop D606's on mine now as well as a RAM phone mount., getting some rear pannier racks, saddle bags, GPS mounts and hopefully design a sticker kit soon. Makes the wr250r a real competitor to the bigger duel sports, and a real eye catcher, looks very unique. tinypic.com/r/zvu6av/9
