One thing to note with that HoT spec you talked about at the end. It synergies well with the 5 piece druid tier 2 bonus "reduce casting time on regrowth by 0.2 seconds". Spam regrowth, get crits, proc natures grace, and boom your casting 1.3 second regrowths. Paladin's flash of light can suck it!
After watching skarm using the HOTW/NS build in a raid tanking/healing i was sold to this.Definately going for this spec if i roll a druid. Really nice video for all the druids out there :)
Ya its not too bad really if you start early on even with greens. Also highly recommend item rack or another gear swapping addon if you're going to do this. If you have the bag space you can even build a dps set as well for times when the tank/healer role is already filled. This build lets you basically fill in whatever the group is lacking which is awesome.
I would love a video on keybinds! I'm not gonna be playing a druid this go around, so if you end up doing a keybind video specifically for druids, add a section for general classes please :)
I'm probably doing a hybrid of moonglow with hot, you can take a few points out of the improved rejuve and regrowth and still get moonglow, that will help Mana and just hot the raid, it's what a druid healer is mostly utilized and known for
Lvling with mark of the wild spec now, I really love the flexibility I love to heal but sometimes that spot is filled so I can just swap to tank gear n take that role, if I’m really jinxed that role is also filled I’ll do alright enough as cat dps, love the spec, might go for more pure resto when I’m 60 tho but for lvling I’m recommend this one
Heart of the Wild spec all the way. Just so much fun to play provided your guild allows you to fully take advantage of what you can do. Although I must say having so many sets of gear will tax your bags a bit.
HOTW is the best spec early on in the game and you can off-tank if / when it's required. Moonglow is good later on when you have better stats from gear. The other specs I wouldn't even personally recommend. There's also the flag carrying / PvP spec that wasn't covered in this video, but basically you want Natural Shapeshifter, Feral Charge and Swiftmend.
Love the Druid stuff man!!! I’ve been playing vanilla again on the Whitemane cluster on classic era and it’s been an absolute blast. It’s been popping offf!!! Vanilla is the best version of world of Warcraft. Nothing comes close in its unchanged state. Are you still playing? Hope you’ve been well! #NoChangesAlways!
Thank you so much for making this video. I love the 12/0/39 and would highly recommend 1/11/39 for pvp healing or even 8/11/31 (especially if you have the 3 or 4 piece pvp set speed bonus) ... This spec makes you feel like your playing a druid in BC and it's pretty sweet. The speed form increase is not to be understated.. 55%travel form (not sure if minor speed to boots stacks with this but that would be 63% insta cast travel form!!!) I completely forgot about the hot spec there at the end (quite mana intensive but faster heals : )
Heart of the wild spec is amazing to level with in Hardcore. You can tank or heal your dungeons and have "Oh-Shit" buttons for days. Thanks for the guidance!
Garbage. It only affects your PARTY, not the raid. The cooldown and mediocre healing relegate it to a very niche party trick, err highly situational spell.
Moon glow untill the gear is good enough for heart of the wild. Thats my plan anyway. Swift mend is mainly annoying, if your in a tuff spot and use it, you need 1 or 2 seconds to reapply the hots, and figure out what spell it ate... Not fun when in a panic! 🤪
It always hits the hot with a lower remaining time remaining. I like to hit it with 1 sec left. Its not that great unless your raid is low on priest heals. Edit: im horde idk if paladins have super fast heals to save ppl
these resto specs are horrible until endgame. if two druids are going to duo, level both as feral. one can focus on bear form, the other can focus on cat. At 40 when you both get heart of the wild, one can pick up int/spi gear to take advantage of the +20% int buff and go to swiftmend to finish leveling as resto. the other can lean into bear form and go towards omen of clarity to level as a tank.
It's really interesting I feel like the HoT-Druid Spec seems to me like it would be the best when geared already. I mean it seems to me like it would make it into an incredibly fast regrowth critmachine. So it will cost a lot of mana if you spam cast regrowth with reduced cast time. With really good gear the heal improvements from gear would make that pretty epic. Unless you run out of mana which is again something that can be fixed or atleast the threat of running out can be reduced with gear and preparation.
I should add, I thank you for providing the content- it’s thought provoking for me. I just curious how many raiding Druids actually use the 0/30/21 build because I thought the stat priority was healing power, mp5, spirit then int
If you add 20% to your base intellect, you need less regen because of the larger pool and increased crit chance. But you could prioritize spirit or mp5 as your stats, and still have the mana pool needed due to the 20% increase.
In Moonglow spec you have enough Resto points to get 2/5 Improved Regrowth and its very worth it. Allows/Justifies you to go Super-Saiyan mode when you want to, and spam Max-Rank Regrowth. The ZG trinket is like Super-Saiyan mode too with Healing Touch, but when it's on cooldown you can pay a heavy mana cost to do the same thing with Regrowth. The situation where you will want to do this comes up A LOT. Also before classic I felt like moonglow was a lame raidlogger raid spec, and it was HOTW that would be more fun. But ultimately I found it was the opposite; moonglow is by far the best wpvp spec of these 4 reasonably min-maxed raid healer specs. (Only for ganking though; HOTW and Swiftmend are definitely better for Warsong Gultch.)
That‘s not even all of the specs. There‘s at least one more, which is the 8-12-31 PvP-Resto-Spec with Natural-Shapeshifter, Feral-Charge and Swiftmend.
Hello what is the best Spec with Pre Equip for Raiding MC Phase One?Is it Swiftmend for Tank Healing or other one? What ist the best spec for Raidhealing?Sorry for my English writing
I'm using Moonglow right now but I have other druids in raid with me that are Swiftmend spec. I love the spec but the problem I keep having is that their Rejuvs are more powerful than mine so when they HoT up my assignment, they knock mine off by overwriting it and keep me from being able to put it up. It's very frustrating and it wastes my mana.
Using Hotw build and I feel you 😫 same situation here, u should get assigned to Tanks maybe, or have groups divided amongst the druid?, organize it a bit more, it saves alot of mana on all healers. But with your build maybe tank healing is better.
@@Vonulrich Thank you for the advice but the problem has solved itself. At the time of the posting we were taking the same pugs every week and combining raid with another guild. We have since grown large enough that it's no longer necessary and I am now the only resto druid in our current raid. I was assigned to tank heal but that didn't stop them from throwing HoTs up on my tank target which is where the frustration was coming from.
Hi TJ! Any recommendation on the gear stats? I know a lot of people say HP first etc.. But when leveling (51) what if i have a pants with 40HP or a pants with 20 intellect/15 spirit etc.. What would be best?
Honestly pure HP is simply for raiding. Gear with higher intellect and spirit is all around better for world instances and questing. HP is BiS for resto druid in a raid setting. If you aren't raiding, hold onto the HP gear incase you dont get an upgrade by the time you're doing mc or ony, or for dungeons, but outside of instances use the better intellect and spirit gear
hi, great guide. One note: i dont see the point that you are making that one should take Faerie Fire (feral) when choosing the HoT spec. Faerie Fire is available as a spell when you are caster, and assuming you are healing you already have that. The FF (feral) is needed when you are tanking/dps as feral
Heart of the wild might be the best. you spend 5 points into that 10% healing talent but it only gives you 5% healing overall. Heart of the wild is nuts
TL:DR Healing Touch is the overall best spec. (moonglow) Regrowth spec is very late game but has better HPS. (Hot druid) HotW is the worst but you can tank. (Hybrid) Last spec is the tank healing only spec, pretty much. (Swiftmend) Not many high lvl druids play this because natures swiftness already is the "oh shit" button.
Your talent calculator is fucked beyond belief. At level 60, the cost of Swiftmend is 249 mana. It's slightly less expensive than Healing Touch rank 5. Wearing dungeon blues, it costs about 5% of total mana.
Im so glad that im not going with any of your talent specs, been best drood heal for so long..A druid don't heal MT in radis, the Priests does, you heal the priests and the raid

Not worth wearing the 5 piece because the GCD is 1.5 seconds, having a 1.3 cast doesn't raise your hps any.
@@timegoblin1288 Druids have a 1 sec GCD, unless something has changed.

So with the Heart of the Wild Spec I can still be able to tank?
I think so. I think it's like Skarms tank healing build and he's a top druid tank. Just gotta be geared for either one.
You can but your are gimping your threat ability from not taking natural weapons. 10% more damage before the treat modifier.
does the first spec work good for pvp too?
There's definitely points you can move around in the balance tree:)

Which is better/faster for solo pve MG or HotW?
HotW for sure. Moonglow has great damage too, but your forms will always be more mana efficient.
For solo pve your could tailor those feral points leading to hotw for cat form:)
Can HoTs and DoTs crit?
In a word, no.
good luck getting moonfire as one of the 16 dots in a raid
