Did anyone ever find out if the wolf Lupos does shadow damage?

Hybrid classes are my favorite, esp shaman druid and paladin. Feels good to help support group in dungeons/raids and be able to play multiple roles. It even feels good to buff random players with mark of the wild... which is such a useful buff while playing or leveling. I mainly played prot warr and enhancement shaman.... shaman is still my favorite class, but also had a feral druid I would slowly level for fun, and twink at brackets like 29 39 49 ect. Druid is great fun in pvp, true hybrid jack of all trades can play any role..... stealth to steal flag or kill enemy fc, powershift to break roots and snares, got heals and hots to help heal when needed and bear form to tank while holding the flag. You can fit any role needed in pve for dungeons too.... emergency tank or heals when needed.... and occasionally CC like sleep for beasts/dragonkin or root melee mobs. Hybrids got a bad rap in vanilla... they get some much needed buffs and class talent design development in layer xpacs like BC or WOTLK..... and by then, Hybrid classes were a blast. Enhance shaman was my main but still loved feral druid for its ability to fill any role, tank in dungeons (or dps or heal if u want) and still amazing for pvp in bgs. Plus new class spells like cyclone were just awesome powerful CC. Battle red was clutch. Travel forms make it much easier to explore, quest, or for gathering professions. Druid is a class everyone should have and play mostly for the experience..... and ignore the haters, druids were designed to be a support role. They won't be top of the pack for dps but still can do good dps if played right... and while not the best tank or healer are still great option for either role when needed. Buffs in bc/wotlk really helped with gear itemization and scaling too. Good luck out there and have fun! Druids are great fun with cool class lore and abilities. Play how you want to play.

I am playing WOTLK classic at the moment, I wanted to add that I am a BM spec and Broken Tooth has only 1.26 speed out of combat.

I used to play a Moonglow esque bakc in the day. was great in 5 and 10 mans as a dps/ot/oh.

I just started classic, and literally every guide says pets eat massive amounts of food, and I just disagree. Every time a reroll a char (hardcore) i use less and less food. Feed them once, kill a couple mobs, feed them again, kill a couple mobs, feed one more time and theyre full off the base tough jerky you start with. The jerky has kept them full off one feeding every 10 min or so unless they take a lot of damage. I don't buy more than 5 food for them through level 20 or so, starter jerky is enough

To thorn or not to thorn

Since we're pointing out misconceptions here. Faster attacks doesn't equal more crits, it's a higher frequency of crits, so your frenzy won't proc more, just faster. It's the same difference as ping vs bandwidth, or the diameter of a pipe vs water pressure.

U said pet dmg depends on the family but u didnt specify which pet is rly the best in terms of dps, would a croc have the same dps as a raptor but attack slower?

Cats can Prowl, which confers a 50% bonus on the first attack, and it lasts until broken so the focus can regen before combat.

Heart of the wild spec is amazing to level with in Hardcore. You can tank or heal your dungeons and have "Oh-Shit" buttons for days. Thanks for the guidance!

Dash will make a cat get to the target and start auto attack faster and also get focus going faster so they deal more damage for those reasons too

Cats vs raptors. Cats still win this battle since they have dash and get to the target faster = start doing damage sooner = more damage in a 10 second window that starts when you send the pet in.

As a night elf hunter, I would always have a boar as a starting pet. Main;y, because they eat about anything. Easier to find food for it.

7:05 The spec your showing is the standard Arms 31-20 spec, so yes, you would run into this. Or, more like it would run into you :)

Dispelling hunter myths... absolutely CLASSIC TJ move.

In Moonglow spec you have enough Resto points to get 2/5 Improved Regrowth and its very worth it. Allows/Justifies you to go Super-Saiyan mode when you want to, and spam Max-Rank Regrowth. The ZG trinket is like Super-Saiyan mode too with Healing Touch, but when it's on cooldown you can pay a heavy mana cost to do the same thing with Regrowth. The situation where you will want to do this comes up A LOT. Also before classic I felt like moonglow was a lame raidlogger raid spec, and it was HOTW that would be more fun. But ultimately I found it was the opposite; moonglow is by far the best wpvp spec of these 4 reasonably min-maxed raid healer specs. (Only for ganking though; HOTW and Swiftmend are definitely better for Warsong Gultch.)

What rank rejuvs and regrowths do you qll use. I use rank 4 healing touch and max rank for big spikes of damage.

This video is for people that don’t like having a Druid as a tank. I use this combo while tanking and I know the mage’s aoe’ing evwrything around me without fear is a treat for them.

The counter to hunter is entangling roots then hiding in their dead zone with humanoid form then dotting and blasting them while their pet is hibernated

Well cats ARE the highest DPS with Frenzy, because cats do more damage than bats, and scale better than Raptors with it if you have Broken Tooth or similarly faster cats than raptors usually are. Plus, as you said, the fact it gets there faster, meaning outside of raids it still does more damage than raptors, and arguably also in raids and dungeons in shorter fights. So this is not a misconception.

Classic druid is my favorite class of all time. The flexibility in pvp and pve is so cool. Nice video, very educative.

leveling: owl/bat/carrion bird/cat... or a boar (shit dmg but they eat everything and have ok threat) pure dmg: cat raid utility: cat (dmg), owl/bat/carrion bird (screech if tank has low survivability) or wolf (furious howl is buggy btw, so wolves aren't the be-all and end-all option for raiders) pvp: cat/wind serpent (serpent has the only ranged ability in the game, decent utility)... or a boar (shit but boar charge is ok) niche shit #1: wind serpent (twink pet) niche shit #2: wolf (furious howl generates threat so you can transfer accidental aggros on pet without engaging in battle -- makes dire maul tribute solos easy) niche shit #3: gorilla (thunderstomp to do ~150 damage to all targets aoe, but 1 min CD. this is kinda ok in speedrun lvling groups in dungeons where pulls and resting time is big) niche shit #4: turtle (hunter tanking) niche shit #5: scorpid (scorpid poison is 10 second dot that stacks up to 5, and it can be used to apply a dot to rogues when all else fails etc.) everything else is garbage and not usable for any purpose.

I´m back to classic era on my first ever horde toon. Troll hunter about to ravage the firemaw pvp cluster <3 I´m gonna level two pets at the same time and switch them out every 2 lvls when I need to learn spells anyway. Even with quests and rested xp, a quarter of my lvl means my pet will ding 2 lvls if I grind mobs with full rested xp for 1 whole lvl.. and the pet will ding at LEAST 1 lvl with me if I have full rested bar and turn in quests AND farm mobs.. so yeah, I definetly recommend new hunter-players to visist petopia webpage and check all the various pets that are around, find the ones you think are the coolest and rarest, tame then, nomatter what level and then have them throughout your journey.. So worth, especially if you wanna feel invested into your character.

Paladin is a another really hard matchup for druids. You probably won't win the mana battle against a holy paladin. All paladins can dispel your hots, and there is no engineering or natural holy resistance in the game, so their holy dmg will slice through bear armor like butter. Basically any class that can remove your hots is pretty tough, and you already talked about how hard hunters are to deal with. That is, unless you are engineering, and you time a frost reflector trinket just right. That might work in a duel, but it's going to be reallly hard to pull off in a battleground.

If claw procs frenzy shouldn't a 2.0 speed cat be the highest dps? It means the 30% bonus will actually have more uptime since the specials are procing it and the base attack is consuming less charges. I could see 1.0 being better in very short fights and 2.0 being superior in sustained fights. If the mobs are facing your cat many also have a chance to block, meaning a bigger % of your cat's attack will be blocked with a 1.0 speed pet vs 2.0. I havn't played a hunter before so if special attacks like claw don't proc frenzy than this is accurate and I am wrong.
