Thank you so much for watching! I hope you enjoyed this Brick Layer Jelly Roll Table Runner tutorial. Please leave a comment and let me know what you think about this video.
Hi again, can you show me how to make a fitting sheet with elastic, well when you get the time and any ideas on designer facemask? 😀Well, whenever you get the time.
I enjoy how well you give us instructions. It makes me feel that I can do the projects and if something doesn't look right I relook at the tutorial and find my mistake!
The Walmart in our semi small town, doesn’t have a fabric craft area in their store. Shame as I have to go to our bigger town in Colorado to buy any fabric etc. I just have to wait til I’m down to this bigger town.
I made this table runner with a batik fabric jelly roll from JoAnn’s and I love it!!! Thank you so much for the wonderful tutorial. It was so helpful and it was easy to follow. I really liked your the lemon and navy fabrics on your table runner in the video too. I have not been online for a bit. I was laughing so hard to see your husband in quadruplet form in the video closing! He is always so fun on these videos!!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Hi Jean. Glad the brick layer jelly roll table runner tutorial was helpful. Manny is a lot of fun - he is a big ham - LOL. Thanks for watching💗and happy sewing😍
Sherrill, Thank you for not only sharing your time with us but also sharing your family. I find “visual” learning much easier than following a pattern. I also like the company you provide us. It has been a loooong year on home confinement😉. Again, thank you, Mary 🍀
I always enjoy your tutorials because they are easy to follow. You speak slowly and clearly in a pleasant tone making it easy to follow your instructions. Thank you for this Jellyroll table runner tutorial. I am making me one now!
Thank you so much for your tip about the corners. I’m terrible at binding, hate the corners, but that little trick has made a huge difference for me, thank you so much.
As always, very clear and easy to understand directions for us newbies! Thanks for all the details and pointers along the way, you make learning exciting and give me confidence that I can create and enjoy this new hobby in sewing! Blessings to you and yours!
Hi Sherril, Happiness is a quick pattern for fast inspiration and completion. Hope y'all have a super year of health and happiness. Look forward to your videos bc you explain every step. I assume these strip sets are a group of 20. Some new people may not know that 2.5" strip sets are NOT jelly rolls unless they are made by Moda. just saying. I've made about 3 dz table runners from various tutorials of yours. easy peasy. Thanks
Good Morning. I just wanted to stop by and tell you THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL OF YOURSEWING TIPS AND TRICKS AND PROJECTS. i HAVE LEARNED AN ABUNDANCE OF WONDERFUL things from you . I don't usually comment I forget to do that. I get excited about the project I just saw and rush to my machine LOL But please KNOW I am always thanking you thumbs up and sharing. Have a beautiful sewshiney day You are Precious.
I like this table runner method I'm going to use this to make quilts. It's much easier to quilt. In sections of this size under your machine. Then join sections. Thank you for video Sheryl
Very inspired. I copied the idea of it for a headrest quilt I was experimenting with. You’re so helpful. As a new quilter I am learning lots from you. Thank you Cheryl.
I’ve watched this video when you first posted it, but watched it again today. While I buy a fair amount of fabric from both Walmart and JoAnn’s, my experience has been to not buy jelly rolls from either store unless they are a name brand, like Kauffman, but not the store brand. The reason is most of the time, they are poorly cut as the strips bow. One jelly roll I bought from JAnn’s bowed so badly, it was completely unusable. I made a table runner from a jelly roll I purchased from Walmart and even after cutting the strips into 2.5” blocks I struggled with getting them sewn straight and having square blocks. I choose to stick to fat quarters and yardage. They are so much easier to square up. Again, it’s just been my experience. With that said, even with charm packs, I found that even from name brands like Moda or Kauffman (for example), they sometimes need to be squared up. I’m sure it depends on what company cuts the fabric into the precuts.
Love this! Can you do circle table toppers? I've been trying to draft my own pattern, but I'm not very good. Love that you provide how to cut the backing & binding too, no excuses to not get it done!
Thank you for this tutorial I've been wanting to try this pattern and now I know how it's put together. By the way you guys are so creative with your outros, it makes every video fun right up to the end.
Hi Sherill, huge thanks for sharing your wonderful sewing talents.. you have such a lovely calming approach to your tutorials.. now to make a table runner. .. I look forward to checking in again :-) x
I love your videos, such clear instructions. I’m going to try this except with squares that I have......maybe for thanksgiving 😊 that way it gives me plenty time between work 👏🏻

Hi - This was a great video, so clear and easy to follow. Using a jelly roll will save so much time! A while back on one of your videos I remember you saying if we have tutorial requests, you'd be open to considering them. I have a request! I am now at the age where my friends are becoming grandparents. I'd like to make gifts they could use with their grandchildren, other than a full-blown quilt. I'd like to learn how to make a functional, durable, parent/grandparent-friendly burpcloth. I am envisioning patchwork (maybe using your brick layer technique?) on one side and terry cloth/towel material on the other. I notice you became a grandparent recently (congratulations!!!) any other tutorials that a grandparent.new parent would appreciate that we could make would be great!
Thank you so much for watching! Please check out my Beginners Baby Sewing Projects tutorial. In that video I demonstrate how to make a burb cloth. We go through these burp cloths like crazy! LOL! ruclips.net/video/-gcoexBZj28/видео.html
I'm such a beginner but I have a roll and I'm ready to start. My guesting is regarding the picked long edges. Do you measure the quarter inch seam from the edge of the little triangles or do i ignore them and measure from the bottom of them?
I use the walking foot on all my quilting projects. Years ago I started in the middle. But because of a bad back I had to start stitching from side to side. My back didn't hurt as much. Now I take all my medium to large quilts to a long arm quilter because my back hurts too much. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍

Great video. Make sure you use matching thread in bobbin when you stitch in the ditch. Also when sewing the binding on the front side.
Hi Patricia. Thanks for the tips. Thanks for watching💗 and happy sewing😍
To eliminate frustration while doing the quilt in the ditch & especially sewing on the binding...I highly recommend a walking foot.
