You can move the MAT sensor around to see how well your intercooler and/or met injection is working.

the IAC is for the Idle air control valve. Typically these are for street cars that have mechanical throttle bodies. Most times on a race car and IAC isnt needed as the the idle RPM can be controlled with a timing advance/retard. the MAT is just for reading the Manifold Air Temp. Typically you'd want to put this in either the charge pipe close to the throttle body or in the manifold at a location that gets sufficient air flow past the sensor. This sensor is important as the one the tuning and setup is complete, the holley will automatically adjust the fueling needed based on the air density/charge air temp and adjust ignition timing based on the charge air temp.

Dude thanks a ton for this info. So do you think it’s smart to put the MAT in the intercooler piping right before the throttle body? And do you think I should just do away with the IAC? I seen someone else just put a delete plate there.

@@ThePaintPaperHustle if you have are running an aftermarket manifold that has provisions for a MAT sensor I would definitely put it in there if i could. The charge pipe would be the next best like if you were running a stock coyote plastic intake. As far as the IAC I think that all depends on preference. I think a good tuner will be able to get the car to idle with or with it.

@@TeViiNz ok awesome. I’m running the Holley race intake so I’ll have to see if it’ll screw into the bottom

@@ThePaintPaperHustle if that the aluminum intake? If so you could always just tap the intake where you want it and screw the sensor in there. Also are you planning to run just e85 with this setup.

Yes to e85. I figured out the size tonight for sensor and ordering a bung to weld into aluminum intake
