    The nurses/doctors tell you when to push, they watch the contractions on the monitor and tell you when you’re contracting. It does slow down labor a bit because you can’t feel it.

    I had loss my baby to incompetent cervix last March. The experience really broke me. When I learned I was pregnant I searched for new doctors. This time I'm so pleased with my doctors. They do not miss a step. They informed me on Tuesday that my cervix was beginning to shorten and scheduled my cerclage for Friday. I am a little nervous but I'm in good faith that my baby will be safe. I will be moving from NY to NC next year and this video makes me hopeful, that I can get great care there if/when I get pregnant again.

    Thank you so much for sharing! My husband and I just lost our son at 22+3 due to IC and I never knew I had IC and didn't have any idea what it was. Once I found out about it the doctors was to late and we could not save our baby, I have a video on our page. You give me some motivation. I lost my baby girl at 27 weeks she lived for 3days and then passed due to premmie risks, its a traumatizing situation but I admire your bounce back. IC is so serious and the sad thing is most dr.s dont tell you about it or enough about until it happens. I think in a few more months I will try again.

    I am 23 years old and I’m 21 weeks tomorrow to be exact. And tomorrow morning at 5 am I will be having this surgery and I am terrified with all my heart but i am gonna do anything and everything I can to keep this baby it’s my very first so this is all new to me as well. I have so many things going through my mind and I’m just praying to god that everything turns out for the better, I have no one to talk to about this but it gives me comfort knowing I’m not the only one that has to go through this. I have hope and I have faith and your video that I came across helped me feel alittle better knowing you made it to the end. I’m praying that for my self and anyone else going through this . I thought I was alone but I’m not . Thank you so much for ur post. ❤️

    So, with my first I had an epidural. When it's time to push you can feel that heavy/pressure feeling. When they tell you to push, you can still feel the pressure from how hard you're pushing. That's the best way I know to explain it haha. So, you can still feel that you're pushing, and how hard you are pushing. They also held my legs up and let me know if I was pushing with my legs, instead of pulling. That helped a bunch as well.

I actually found out last week im pregnant and this time with baby twins and my dr informed me of this procedure and recommends it. I started looking up and your video came up. @@starunique306 oh word thanks so much for the reply! Girl, no kidding, right now I am SURVIVING on prayers and faith!! I had 2 miscarriages at 6 wks previously and changed my doctor with this pregnancy. She found that I had a shortened cervix at my 6 wks appointment measuring at 27mm and told me the cerclage may be recommended. At my 12 wk appointment today, I measured the same but she recommended and booked me in for Monday to get the procedure done as a preventative measure. I am being hopeful but also grateful for all success stories of other women.

      @@starunique306 congratulations on the birth of your baby! So glad to hear your happy news.
      I am only a little over 6 weeks pregnant but will need a preventive cerclage also. My first pregnancy I didn’t find out about my cervix until it was too late for the stitch, 21 weeks. Was prescribed progesterone and Light bed rest for a few months. Didn’t seem to matter much, as I was eventually hospitalized for 5 weeks due to dilation and funneling of my cervix, but held her in until almost 30 weeks! 6 weeks baby spent in the NICU but thank God she was so strong and doing well, just needed to grow. Baby will be 1 in a few days!
      Nervous about having cerclage but thankful I have the opportunity to get it this time and hoping for the best.

    Is it painful? What precautions are u taking

      @erika.creech  4 года назад +5

      Prabhakar Tawde is the cerclage painful? Getting it was not, I had spinal anesthesia plus some pain medicine in my iv. Recovery was a piece of cake. As far as precautions, I take Makena (progesterone) shots every Monday which started at 16 weeks. I’m 34 weeks now.

      @erika.creech  4 года назад +1

      angel02124 yes I was surprised too! But that’s one of the reasons why I chose the doctor I chose. He doesn’t believe in pelvic rest unless medically necessary..he trusts that his stitch will stay closed and no infection will occur. I’m currently 24 weeks and 2 days and have sex 3-4 times weekly and my cervix is over 5cm long now with the stitch and weekly progesterone shots!

I was not put on bed rest the dr said sex is ok but I feel that it is really tight down there . So i do not feel comfortable. I read that sex is not ok for cerglage. Plz talk to me about your experience.There is no pain except some backpain when I doing house work. Did you reach full term.

    I started watching your videos when I found out I had incompetent cervix last June. Unfortunately I gave birth to my daughter 7/4/20 and she passed 4 days later. We are expecting again (inserts happy dance) and I will be getting my preventative cerclage in a few weeks. We’re super happy but taking each day at a time. Thank you vlogging your journey to give me hope throughout this journey.

      Congratulations on your pregnancy! I definitely know the feeling of taking things one day at a time, but you also deserve to enjoy it! It will be soo worth it in the end. Thank you and good luck with your Cerclage and pregnancy ❤️❤️❤️
