Adams riffs are pretty straight forward and simple but no one comes up with that simple awesomeness quite like Adam he is to this day my favorite guitar player , not cause he is the best or fastest or the most poly lol it's his imagination and use of space and making music sound mystical , magical and yet still rock , no wonder we're all still waiting for the next tool album .
thanks for all these lessons, really informative, and interesting info about Adam's style in all of these. I saw you did a lesson on the extended section for Stinkfist, hope you'll give this song the same treatment, the extended bridge section is one of my favorite guitar/bass riffs in all of Tool history.
I know this seems like the wrong spot to put this, but I would love a lesson on Feathers by A Perfect Circle. The lead guitar parts are tremendous and I fell in love with the guitar parts the first time I heard it. Good work as always, Sir! Keep it up!
this song gets stuck in my head so often. No idea why I never learned it before. It's a good intro to tool for a drummer as well. Tried jammin some stuff i wrote the other day with him and all i could do was tell him; "just think Danny Carey" lol. just think Tool. Playing their music will really broaden your horizons. Thanks man.
Yeah cause tool is so into the sloppy drug fiend scene. Im an ex heroin addict(Full blown should be dead went to prison etc.). Been clean 6 years. We love tool cause they aren't about doing drugs and having no self control/discipline. But psychedelics are a different story. I cultivated my own Psilocybe Cubensis for a long time. My last bulk grow was about 3 years ago an I still have a lot left over. Couldn't give them all way if I tried.....ok that's a lie I could easily have given them all away. But I don't ever sell them. Anyways i don't do them hardly ever. Maybe 1 time every 2 years maybe. Point being it's really annoying seeing people who still think drugs are cool making everything about drugs. All drugs do is muffle our spirituality sterilizing our ability to get a meaningful experience outta life. But it takes some people longer than others to figure that out. Hell I started heroin at 14 realized I wanted to stop at 16 but wasn't able to really do it until I was 22. I'm 29 now and still dealing with consequences to my addiction. Anyways.....point made I think.

Great video title, I love it! "Tool Jerk-Off Tutorial". I wonder how many people who saw it had no clue it referred to a song.
