Survival being completely overlooked is comically accurate by blizzard
My main through the entire expansion, pretty much been a meme through it all, why I quit and just play SoD.
Finally the brewmaster nerfs we needed... wait a minute... Oh well I can't really bring myself to care about balance in S4. Fix survival hunter.
Worlds best monk who's in full BIS already essentially with 40% vers and pulls HUGE can do 400k DPS.. Quick, nerf the tank nobody plays!
Meanwhile my BDK does similar overall to my Brew as an average human.
Survival Hunter needs to be given to another lead dev or team. It’s embarrassing that it was so bad all DF. The Shadowlands S3 and S4 Mad Bombardier seasons were fun and strong, but leggo and seasonal affixes played a big role there.
Season 3 & 4 of SL was terrible design for SV, dead brain 2 button spec. DF has been good overall design but the trees for both hunter and SV are pretty boring. Lots of % damage increase 2 point nodes. The other glaring issue is CA being bad design, Birds of Prey good, forced macro bad. Viper's Venom needs to be reverted to pre DF and moved to the class tree

Brew has been known as a glass cannon for a while now. The whole point of playing brew is to pump deeps. Obviously they arent the meta tank, let them pump,,, and I play Bear lol

One of the best tanks in the game and definitely the best Brewmaster should absolutely be the yard stick by which the entire class of Brewmaster should be measured regarding nerfs
Good thing they nerfed brewmaster and buffed destro, I’m ashamed sp hasn’t been buffed yet and feral+survi didn’t get a 20% dmg nerf too, maybe next week! Fucking unreal..

It's not dead - survival hunters are probably the most diehard people to any spec. We just want to exist on damage charts without getting nerfed because we got anywhere near DKs or BM hunters in either ST or AOE... EVER.
I think you missed something @tettles, affliction can fix their ST vs AoE talent problem, you have to go to the right side of the tab, unselect everything and switch to demo.

The Destro buffs are a little surprising since I believe on week 2 they were 2nd overall for M+ damage

Orbital Strike is SUCH a fun and good talent! No idea why Blizzard has not paid more attention to it! It would help A LOT with sustained damage!

It’s definitely going to be harder for worse VDH players. Good players were already doing a lot of cc bridging with silence into chains into misery into nova into silence again into chains again into misery again into group cc. Worse players just ripped double silence back to back and the pack was mostly dead following that.
So glad they buffed destro, them pulling 880k dps overall just isn’t high enough.

I still remembering, debating with fellow survival hunters during the Tier set votes. I am so sad, that I ended up being correct about s3 tier being grossly stronger than the winner s1. Wild to think the high key players know so little about the class they play.
So I'm confused. I thought 2 set from season 3 and 2 set from season 4 did not give you x2 2set? That you'd only have s3 2 set working ( in the case of bdk).
Some specs Season 4 tier set is another seasons like season 2. It depends on the spec. In the case of balance I think they are running 2 set SEason 3, and 2 set Season 4 (which was originally the season 2 bonus).
Did blizz just revert the assass nerf last season?

Can we comment on how little love hunter has gotten in general versus the other classes? Some Dev likes BM but MM and SV are just left bad forever. The best changes are just aura buffs. Also, it appears the Devs go out of the way to gimp SV and MM instead of giving them moments to shine.
SV looked like it might be strong before S2. The devs went and nerfed the tier set 4 times before S2 released. SV might actually have more nerfs than buffs over the last 5 or 6 years. How can one spec be so heavily nerfed and only had one moment of brilliance over the last 6 years?

Had a vengeance DH yesterday, their damage is NUTS. Plus the control they have us top notch. I can see why they got nerfed lol but they're still strong.
As long as aff playstyle revolves around malefic rapture locks will continue to hate it. It’s the least satisfying spell in the game to hit, your spender just feels like punching air.
Blizzard forgot that druids have 2 dd specs, feral seems abandoned at this point, balance literally in S tier for m+(feral at C) and better at raid content, and still buffed even more

The only thing brew brings to the table is tank dmg and a physical dmg buff, which nobody cares about aside from warriors and hunters. Sad to see them targeting that.

It's really hard to watch meta classes get buffed while others are covered in bandaids lying on the floor. Ret pala buffs, mage buffs, now warlock buffs in their season where they are already dominant just adds that extra salt to the wounds. Even on ptr, which I know most classes are going to get reworked and its just a matter of time, its just hard to see even further ret and mage craziness while dk, hunter, shaman are just sitting on the bench watching from afar.

Fix SV hunter blizz - we had gotten SO MANY small buffs and sets baked into our kit and are STILL at the near bottom in raid. Fire the 1 hunter intern and hire a monkey and they will still do better than what is currently in place.
Nuking brewmaster when it's already all the way down at the bottom from its lack of survivability and utility is just showing how shit blizzard is at reading the room
But the survivabilty was buffed?
@@erica2980 in high m+ environment these buffs do absolutely nothing, maybe help with one shot magic hits on high tyrranical keys. But that's not what brews currently suck at. They can't tank more than 2 packs of mobs head on
Its funny bc i think brew is unplayable because too many abilities and stuff, sad they are not doing well, since they are hard to master.

Survival hunter should be converted into a support spec going forward. Blizzard has no intention of having it be a viable melee dps spec.
Its crazy cause as a survival hunter main it really is just as simple as buffing Butchery maybe 15%. Thats it. Its the only tier-aoe interaction we have. There shouldnt even be decision making about it. The tier centers around focus spenders. Its extremely weak in aoe. Therefore buff the aoe spender? Idk how there is even hesitation or second thought about it. It doesnt affect raid or pvp in any way.

The fact that I have two tier pieces 30 ilvs higher than what I'm currently using. And can't use them in m+ is a fucking joke. And then for blizzard to buff bommies and fury's tier and just say duck you srv hunters just proves that they don't give a shit about survival.
How to realistically and logically fix lower tier classes in PVE. I play all of these "bad" specs in the low 20's every season, I'm no pro but I represent the vast majority of players.
Survival - We need overall damage/defense, improved talents, improved mastery.
- Give 3% more base mastery, and have it also reduce damage taken by that much (equates to 4-5% reduced damage taken, and 50k hp/5sec geared season 4 DF with low investment)
- Buff Spearhead DOT damage to be impactful, skillful, and fun for ST - from 35% of strike damage over 4sec, to perhaps 70%. Seems to do 3-5% overall currently on a heroic boss.
- Change Viper's Venom to a one point node. Change "Quick Shot" talent to a choice node: Wildfire bomb grants a stack of Bloodseeker (talent) to your primary target up to 3. Only one enemy can have multiple stacks. OR Wildfire bomb causes your serpent stings to deal damage 30% faster for 3sec. AOE VS ST choices.
Frost DK - We need single target, less clunkiness, utility
- Death and decay cooldown reduced by 5sec and is slightly larger.
- Shattering Blade changed to "When frost strike crits an enemy at 5 stacks of razorice it leaves a dot dealing 40% of the damage done over 4sec."
- Activating Pillar of Frost grants killing machine. (this already happens due to macros, we'd just be gaining one extra rune in our opener and QoL)
- Connect Asphyxiate to Runic Attenuation in Class Tree
- Mind Freeze (interrupt) baseline giving one flex talent point
Ele Sham - We need defense and single target
- Add to Lightning shield: The storm embraces you granting 8% avoidance. (We can healing surge dots if needed as a "defensive")
- Nature's Guardian Talent: Make it a one point node. Tree is cluttered.
- Fire Elemental and Storm Elemental: Basic attack damage Increased by 100% (Typically 1-2% overall right now on a heroic raid boss)
- Magma Chamber: Make it 5% stacking 12 times, instead of 3% 20 times.
I know this will probably go un-read, but hey... if one influential person stumbled across it, it would make for a great discussion or at least reminder to buff our classes. lol

veng got 2705 in 10.2 in 3v3 . i have a 55% winrate in shuffles with veng untill the nerf . just buff the other tanks instead of nerf veng
watching some 800.000+ m+ logged destruction warlocks wich means they probbaly sat around 1.000.000++ overal, and then buffing them... hmmm blizzard as always with the logic
survival hunter should just become a tank spec. Thats the only fix.

@tettles Please ask Max or someone who interviews blizz to ask about the Survival issues. I do not understand why they have destroyed my favorite classic spec. It was soo good and fun then this.
As a Hpal main, the only answer you will get is "we've brought them in line with the other classes", which means to the bottom line, not the top.

The thing is that survival needs an actual rework to fix a tuning pass like this isn't going to help the spec and it would be stupid of them to do a rework on a class for the last patch of an expansion. Kinda like the issue hpal, prot warrior, brewmaster all suffer from. Those classes all have issues that go much deeper than number tuning, they all need changes to the toolkit to really fix the issues with them. Like prot warrior and brew both suffer from a serious utility and CD issue.

The Aff lock buffs are laughable in size - so much so that tge total number of Aff locks in the setting will remain hardcapped at 10

Drestro is only good in AOE if you have large target count and you have a group that plays around you. If not their AOE is meh at best

Kind of funny there was no mage or destro nurfs cause of the aoe damage but they were quick to nurf havoc like 5 times when they were way above everyone else in aoe

lol, soul cleave is barely used in AoE anyway so nerfing soul cleave isn’t going to change AoE threat a lot. Spirit bomb is the go to and uncapped
Buff Blood 4 set, nerf VDH survival and actual dmg, buff brewmaster survival, make disrupting shouldn’t a silence not only interrupt, nerf shadow priest
i dont get where ppl getting this nerf spriest from? like they only become good when packs live longer than 30s. In lower keys which most ppl are on can beat a spriest in burst aoe. A destro lock can peak at 7m and they got buffed, but spriests is the problem?
@@Flovust they buffed Destro ST. And if packs die quick in low keys why does balance matter? So you look better on meters? Where dmg mattes Spriest is completely busted.

Ill take any changes when it comes to surv, like anything; but lets be honest, whatever they do is going to be a temporary "fix". This class needs Jesus, and the entire panthen of Gods to at least be relevant. I almost forgot to mention, get a proper team to work on the spec, and gives us better looking sets, cause hunters always get the intern that brings coffee to work on these :D.

As an affly main, last season n this season. I can say this about the buffs. The Doom Blossom one is a fucking joke. No one uses this talent. Ever.
The scale of the buffs are a joke but you are incorrect about Doom Blossom. One of the top 3 M+ Aff locks advocates the use of the talent during Fortified weeks for some dungeons. They should have buffed Seed instead though
@@morgenmuffel5747 Yeah? Interesting. Because I'm one of the top. You can find me under "Héxdóctór" on affly ladder :) I can assure you, no one even uses Doom Blossom in high keys, even on fortified.
But yes, Seed should have been buffed by at least 10%, and a solid UA buff by about 15% minimum.

@@Tettles Well, it's the highest expression of individual skill. Fighting AI and doing scripted encounters is a fine tutorial that will teach you the basics, but the true challenge begins when your skills are confronted to those of a fellow payer.
