The cars at 14:10 are actually Corvettes people have ordered to be delivered and picked up at the museum. The Museum works quite regularly with the GM plant for stuff like that. And they even let you watch your vette be built on the assembly line

Hi Jacob, just wanted to share our Corvette museum story with you. We made plans to go visit the museum right after the cave in happened. We could not cancel our trip was too close to reservation, so we said we would go anyway, and we could find something else to visit. To our surprise the museum was open, but they had the hole roped off, and we actually saw it better on the news, but really made it interesting to be there, so all in all we had a great time. By the way the first Corvette was made in 1953, and the first Ford Thunderbird was made about a year later. A close friend of mine used to own a Thunderbird, and used to go on road trips in it there were three or four of us who would go. It had the beeper noise that would keep beeping when you got low on gas. He used to stop and get two or three dollars wort, and we would get maybe five miles and beeper would be going off again. We never had video phons or cameras durning the time period, but we did roadside attractions before they were a RUclips item. Thanks for reminding of two wonderful memories with one video. Love your videos, we never miss any of them. Dianne and.Bob

The guy holding the camshaft is the late Zora Duntoff, who virtually saved the Corvette from distinction by being the first to give it a V8 and pursue racing it. For years, he fought for a mid-engine Corvette, which just recently happened with the C8, starting with the 2020 model year. Zora’s ashes are enshrined at the Museum.

That line of partly buried tractors is the Deere John Project, with the tractors arranged by age (not size). Inspired by the Cadillac Ranch, it was designed by Linda Bruckheimer, wife of Hollywood producer Jerry Bruckheimer, and is a tribute to the region's history of farming. Although the Bruckheimers live in Los Angeles, Linda Bruckheimer is originally from Kentucky, and I am told she has become quite a booster of Bloomfield, where this installation is located.

I grew up in Louisville, and my Dad's family is from a town about an hour away from Bowling Green. Been to the Corvette Museum myself, and driven by there, and the other places you visited, especially Cave City and Bardstown, more times than I could count. Even went to Guntown Mountain, and rode the chairlift, with my husband, just before we got married-so about 20 years ago, lol. Also, I remember seeing on the news, when the giant sinkhole at the Vette Museum happened. The hole itself was once actually on exhibit, for a while. IIRC, they had a clear floor of some sort over it, and you could see all the way down in there, and see the cars, too, before they pulled them out. Not sure how close they actually let people get, though.
One last thing: If you're in Southern Kentucky again, and looking for local drinks, PLEASE try Ski! It's delicious! Way better than Ale8-1! (Yes, I know that's blasphemy for a Kentucky girl, lol!) It's a citrus soda, but like orange and lemon. I basically grew up on it, lol. It's a little like Mountain Dew, but WAY, WAY better!
Oh, and that mullet-ed beer wasn't just any beer. It was a PBR, lol!

I live near Franklin, KY and drive thru there a lot. Don't live too far from the Corvette museum but I never been there, maybe one day.

There is a giant castle just north of the airport in Louisville, KY. That would be cool for you to at least check out.

To this day, cookie dough is still my jam. It slaps. It slays. It’s the best…despite my mom telling me I would get worms from eating it. 😂

If you ever see a QT..Quick Trip STOP! So good. Love the egg rolls, but they have so much variety. And a hot restaurant you can order from kiosk, but they do close kinda early. Salads, subs, fresh fruit, fresh donuts, coffee, slushes, pizza, breakfast pizza and lunch pizza, biscuits and so much more. Love your videos and it’s good to see you traveling again..❤😊😮
