- Today, we tour the Bugatti and french car collection of Peter W. Mullin. Petersen has had a lifelong romance with automobiles. He is a devoted supporter of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and other concours events around the globe. He has entered and driven his cars in vintage races and rallies for the last 25 years, both in the United States and abroad.
Founded in 2010, the Mullin Automotive Museum strives to educate guests about 20th-century French automotive styling and design. The museum boasts nearly 47,000 square feet of exhibit space in an elegantly designed structure, which was previously owned by legendary newspaper publisher Otis Chandler. Peter Mullin is Board Member of the Petersen Automotive Museum, President of the American Bugatti Club, and an active participant and supporter of the Los Angeles Community. - Авто/Мото
If you're staying in LA, this is only about an hour away and is an absolute must see museum. The collection is all French, and all fantastic. The docent led tours are thorough, informative - but when you are finished, the best part is that you can wander at will throughout the collection. There's also a fantastic art deco collection including what I'd call a gentlemen's club/bar area and some Carlo Bugatti furniture. The presentation of nearly everything is stunning and you should budget several hours to drink it all it. Highly recommended.
These gotta be some of the most beautiful cars i think I have ever seen on the internet. Wow 👏
Hey from Paris, have a look on "la cité de l'automobile de Mulhouse" it's a museum i east of France, the greatest in Europe. They have 120 Bugatti among others. Nice watch.
Here's a link : ruclips.net/video/418W0DhU3Mg/видео.html, at 26:20 to 26:45 only two Bugatti Royale six were made, the most expensive cars today on earth.
Sorry i meant only six were made, and her you can see two of them one black and blue and one black.
Pieces of art. Every single one of them.
This is not a car collection, here you see a dream and art collection! Wonderfull!
The time when France was building the most beautiful cars in the world !
THANK YOU for posting this informative video! The host was very informative and has an excellent knowledge of these cars.
👋👋👋👋BRAVO👋👋👋👋
Best half hour all week. Thank you for upload, video quality and excellent narration.
I fully agree. The most beautiful car in the world. Great collection. Congratulations. Great walk through. So informative. Thank you. Looking forward to my visit
Thank you Rick for this excellent video. I am a fan of cars from that era. I will definitely add the Mullin museum to my bucket list.
"A Lalique ashtray" lmao the ashtray alone is more valuable than most cars on the road today.
@dhokkhaba1 Hell no. Id make sure these are preserved. This is literal automotive history we're talking here.
Nope. Nice, but more like a monthly car payment...
Thanks once again for another great video. What an amazing collection. Truly works of engineering art. Hope to visit some day. 👌
What an absolute delight! Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge!
Thank you for sharing and posting this incredible video, I have watched it 3 x amazing !
To say this cars are beautiful is an understatement. They are magnificent art works !
What a life! Love it, thank you for sharing these stunning images with us.
I think the designers of these cars are much more imaginative than the present day ones .
Awesome. Beautiful cars
Very pleasant and profession presentation! Thank you for the terrific tour!
Phenomenal viewing here of some amazing automotive works of art and technology for their times. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much for providing such excellent detail on these cars.
Great video great car collection love the Bugatti’s look amazing nice to see that they are kept in the original condition thanks for the video
What a fabulous collection. I hope to visit some day. Those French cars of the thirties are works of art like none other.
OMG such beautiful works of art. Thanks for sharing them.
The best years in style cars
Wow, speechless... so grateful for sharing this video, just WOW!
thank you guys for continueing to make videos, it's my hope one day to come visit the museum. I am absolutely amazed by the engineering solutions, and robust way Bugatti, and the other cars of that era were built, they seem so solid, but also delicate in ways at the same time. I'm particually fond of the polished metals under the hood, and that incredible sound the doors make when they latch lol, I don't kjnow why but it makes my ears happy!
Have u know the map bruh ??
Its a huge place with a great barrier dispatch from regular living place
Mr Mullin Thank You ,this is just a Fabulous Experience ,Et que continue l'Aventure Voisin,Merci
French cars in the 30's just Beautiful.
Beautiful collection of pieces of art

Thank you what a great narrator you are Sir i could listen to you all day ,what a fantastic collection keep safe.
absolutely amazing and so educational! thank you kindly
Extravagant in the 1930’s was clearly on a level above current times. Amazing.
The ability to without account exploit children, minorities, and the working class in general made for great times for sick people.
MrPypro if that’s all you see in these cars then I don’t understand why you watched.
@@MrPypro There isn't a MrsPypro, is there?
@@BlackPhillip666 😂there is.
@@mosca3289 it's not all a see. I see beautiful works of moving art, but as someone who views the world much in that way I also see beyond that and am staggered by the lack of, something that it takes in times like these to choose to be completely un analytical about opulence.
Charming and knowledgeable guy.
I am completely blown away, that collection of cars is insane.
I thought I had seen it all as I watched Ric on Leno's garage with the Talbot Lago.
Absolutely stunning!!
Amazing collection.Thankyou
I never thought cars like these exist. Magnificent
Legendary collection of awwwesome rides....
The Hispano Suiza is unbelievable and I love Bugatti. 👍🏼

The biggest Bugatti collection in the world is in the Schlumpf Museum in Mulhouse (France).
Thanks for the tour. Very nice cars.
I love this video. One of the best on RUclips
Did the cars look this good when they were first made, the restoration is just jaw dropping.
Most probably. If not, they would call it modification I suppose.
All II can say is wow...Thanks again for the videos!!
Unbelievably beautiful cars, topped only by the stories! Thank you!
These are wonderful cars that are fun just to watch.
It's a great collection.
It was a good time when designers ran the pen as they wished and outstanding craftsmen shook their arms to shape it.
How beautiful.......
Will be overwhelmed.
And thank you for this wonderful video ,.
Fantastic Collection the builders of these cars would be proud their legacy lives on for future generations to see
Amazing, very interesting stories, well filmed
I've been to your museum and enjoyed very much your help as a docent while there. I will make every effort to come down from Oregon when the pandemic allows. The museum is a jewel.
These cars are just absolutely breath-taking. So beautiful, the fact they are functional is almost a trivial afterthought. However, when you consider the artistry of these cars, the age they were built (no computer, no printers, just slide rules and pencils), compared to something as childish as the Tesla Cybertruck, which looks like it was drawn by a 1st grader with a red crayon (because it will go faster with red), accentuates how remarkable the designers of these vehicles truly were. Fame and recognition, rarely denote the best.
Our automotive users group- (from Opel GT to 12-wheel Peterbilt) understands your POV! HOWever the Cybertruck is indeed a both departure from and leading well away and forward-thinking above all traditional "smooth and swoopy" lines conventions. AND it is above all a serious truck. (1.7 million reservations, more the entire production of all cars here) for that one model alone,
speaks volumes about what is a true improvement. Indeed if one wishes to be swoopy, aerodynamic AND avant garde, the Solar Aptera can CURE the curse of energy waste on personal transportation, with everything any one or two people NEED in a car, vs everything the merely "Want", eg front and back cigarette ashtrays, as in some of these featured cars!
Mr Eberst did a fantastic job presenting these cars. Really enjoyed his commentary.
Great. The classiest collection of cars anywhere in the world.
Beautiful, rolling works of art.
I'd love to stop by !! A tremendous collection.
Very nice collection.
Thank you.
Amazing collection. I didn’t know place like that existed in Oxnard, CA. I will definitely try to visit the museum.
An incredible collection to say the very least. Thank you so much for producing this video!
A video full of BEAUTY!!!!!! 👍👍👍
The beauty of the interior and dash in these cars are truly something special, even in an era when every car had real wood and limited plastics being used.
Fourth Comment god i love this Channel BUGGATTI Fan here Thanks for showing these beautiful cars @PetersenAutomotiveMuseum love you guys 👍
It·s Magic !! Thank you ...

thank you enjoyed the tour , from scottish fan
Absolutely magnificent 👍🏿.
*"I don't know which is greater, these fine autos...or these priceless stories that birth them.
Salute to this video and auto enthusiast all over the world."* ✨👍
It must be the effort the curators put into embellishing, polishing, adding to, and telling these most improbable stories to a point where they actually believe they are true !!!
Ever realised how much "bigger than life" people with money are ? Very big EGO's is the answer to your question.
The cars are just what was made at the time.
@@team3383 ...Entertaining nonetheless, thank you so much for that valuable input killjoy.
@@Dvco33333 Very entertaining. Just pointing out that YOU may have a life as entertaining as these incredible stories also if you put your mind to it.
No need to listen to what others seemingly did; "care of" curators who are doing nothing with theirs.
@@team3383 ...What's really entertaining ...is having a great weekend...in that, we both can agree upon.👍🎶🎈😎
What a great presentation! I’ve had a love affair with cars from my first word ‘Car’, well probably the fourth after mum, dad, and food. It’s great to stumble upon these articles on RUclips.
Very nice tour guide !
The workmanship!!
"Le Mans used to be for road cars, not like today with Formula 1 cars"
Well he has got to watch more modern racing :)
Yeah, they haven't had an F1 race at Le Mans in my lifetime (and I'm 56 years old). Le Mans is an endurance race and an F1 ride is the exact opposite of that.
what modern racing uses stock cars?
@@alexm566 technically the GT3 category is for road cars
Thank you so so much for posting. Please show us a little bit of the Bugatti Woody behind you at the end.
I work at MoMA in NYC, and take my word for it…these cars would absolutely rival anything here. Stunning, thank you for taking the time to show them.
Wonderful collection, beautiful building and exhibition, professional specialist car people.
Beautiful collection of automobiles
5:44 that Delahaye coupe in the background ( silver/grey ) is simply stunning. Easily one of best looking cars ever made.
Loved the walk through and your comments.

phantastic, loved all these cars, they are all build ahead theire time
All of these cars are so beautiful 😍
WOW! I never imaginated that some French cars were so stunning before WWII. Real pieces of Art Deco! A just incredible decadence of style in actual cars: what a miosery when we look at our clumsy and inelegant SUVs!
Wonderful informative narrative!
Fascinating! I never knew this particular museum existed - so close to home. I look forward to visiting it ..... when COVID 19 is made manageable.
Please drive me there the sooner the better...🙄👍🏻, writing from the outskirts of Paris, France...
1:38 😂 Man wym this car will STILL shock you! Beautiful
