Visiting the Petersen is on my bucket list, thanks for taking us along! watching Chad's reaction, and listening to his commentary just cements the fact that the man is an artist with an amazing eye and a finely tuned sense of artistic expression. I love this channel!
The way Chad admires ALL cars is great. Thank you Chad and Jolene for taking me through this museum. Don’t know when I’ll get out there or even if I will. I appreciate you taking us all along
We visited the Petersen Museum 10 years ago from Australia and it was awesome. I would love to go back and see the EV section. It has certainly expanded heaps in that time. I enjoy all the other ICE exhibits as well and the history. We spent a day there, but could easily have hung out for days. Thanks for sharing your visit guys.
wow such a nice change to get out of halifax and down to a beautifull car museaum, and the best thing is it is not costing me one ccent and i am sitting comfortably in my house watching every thing with you nice people, thank you kindly Jolene and Chad for the nice trip. love it.
Thank you so much for taking us along on your tour of the museum Chad & Jolene it was really awesome. You have given those of us that will never have the opportunity to experience the museum in person to see it through your eyes. Jolene you did a great job of videoing as much as you could for us. I had to laugh when Chad did not even notice the sign about women racing and you caught it right away and focused in on it! Thank you again for the opportunity to see the vehicles.
Jolene, you did an incredible job filming. I would be like a distracted squirrel running all over the place not knowing where to look. You did a great job keeping up with Chad, showing the cars, the details and not running into anything. Truly a wonderful job on the video. 👏👏👏🙂
Thank you both for taking us on the inspiring tour of the Petersen Automotive Museum! The 1954 Alfa Romeo B.A.T. 7 by Bertone was my absolute favorite.
The Red Essex Terraplane pick up @ 9:39 is owned by my best friend. I have ridden in the truck a number of time. The real truck was built by Essex by pulling a 4 door sedan off the production line and cutting the back half off. BTW: this truck was named most beautiful pick up truck by Peterson a few years ago. Thx
Thats all i have to say is WOW!! What beautiful cars they have there. Awesome job filming Jolene. And im sure Chad was a kid in a candy store looking at all of them. That all gold with maroon stripes was probably my favorite of them all. That looked absolutely gorgeous!!
The Peterson Museum had a prolific Car artist builder in their halls. The museum would be lucky to have an exhibit with your artwork Chad. You guys are fantastic. Keep up the great work, and mute the critics. Thank you both
Great trip to Peterson! Jolene awesome color capture in the video. Chad so knowledgeable. My Mom bought the Starsky Torino in 1976 and we got turns at smoking the tires! Had a 460 my Dad tuned up!
Hey, Chad, Good to see you again! First thing I noticed was the B.A.T. car(s) from Italy. The B.A.T. cars fins (wings?) may have influenced the finds placement on 1960 and '61 Chryslers cars, Newport, Saratoga, New Yorker and 300G because the fins start a the middle of the front door driver/passenger (an looks better on 2 door models). I have a '61 Chrysler Newport coupe and it is a challenge when you (start) to parallel park because the fins block the cars rear fender that you are wanting park behind.
Hello, Love all your content. In this video at the car show, the car you where admiring is the 1954 Blue Alfa Romero Bat 7. The 1953 Charcoal Alfa Romero Bat 5 makes me think of a futuristic Batmobile with its red grill. The 1955 Silver Alfa Romero Bat 9 was meant to be closer to a production model. I have spent many hours in Photoshop working on how best to recreate a copy of this car, and believe the best starter car for this would be a 1997-2006 Jaguar XK8/XKR.
Hey Chad/Jolene, absolutely loving your video from the Peterson museum. So satisfying to see you in your element. I'm a big KITT fan, so sad you breezed past that. But completely understand its not your thing. ❤ Love you guys, more please
Most of them cars I've never seen before. but I've gotta say wow just beautiful. The skill it takes to build cars like that is just amazing. I feel they should still build a few cars just how they did back in the day strong reliable easy to work on and beautiful
What a great job filming Jolene. Back in the late '90s I live in Los Angeles for about 4 years and visited the Peterson several times. Each visit had many new cars on display that I hadn't seen on the previous visit. My second suggestion for the '50 Ford would be a very dark blue, but not quite black. But I wonder if doing that would not show off the lines quite as much as a lighter color. Can't wait to hear what Jolene chooses. Nice for the two of you to get out of the shop for some relaxing and quality time. Enjoy.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video and respect Chads commentary. Thank You for sharing your day at the Peterson Automotive Museum. I wished you showed us the basement.
Chad and Jolene We are really enjoying your tour of California. When you were looking at all the robots for the car assembly. That's my forte working with the programing of robots. We do this on computers where the real brains are lol. I retired from that back 2006. I now teach at the college level in electrical engineering.
Thank you for doing a wonderful job showing as much of our collection as you could within your time frame . I work at the Peterson as a docent currently .
I appreciate the cars you have shown us but to be honest I appreciate the cars you build more because you take us step by step Appreciate you and the fantastic work Jolene does filming You two make such a great team
Chad and Jolene , you did a fantastic job filming and showing us this fantastic museum!! Most of us would never see this in our life time! Thanks for a great video!!
The third car you looked at that was green, looked a lot like a Studebaker Hawk that was highly customized. You should try doing an extreme customization on a Hawk. Change it into a two seater and really change it up. I'm pretty sure they are pretty reasonable to buy one in driving condition. Just a thought for another fun project. If you spend a little more to get a running car it saves you a lot of work in the long run, and you really don't build high performance cars anyway.
Jolene, check out the pen functions on your phone, the pen can be used as both a stylus and a remote for controlling the camera. There are several nice instructional vids here on YT.
Several of the cars were from the Blackhawk collection in San Francisco. We were there on our trip to Pebble Beach. The owner recently passed and much of the collection went thru the Barrette Jackson auction. Pappy.
Thanks guys. My favorite car in the museum, and designwise, all time favorite is the dark blue Shae Of Iran Bugatti with body by Van Voren. Fantastic car. The light blue metalluc Alfa Romeo BAT was also stunning.
I got to see the Peterson museum, I knew nothing about it. I guess my favorite had to be the blue Bugatti and the RollsRoyce. Both massive looking cars, just awesome. 👍👍
I want to listen to Chad's thoughts and learn , .. it's cool to see them together ... I like to know what Jolene likes too though as well which is cool..
Thank you for taking us along on your trip to Peterson, it's good to see you take some time for yourselves, if I can give my 2 cents on car color, paint the car a cream color maybe with some pearl then paint chrome parts dark brown with some metallic. Cheers
Hi Chad and Jolene, the mystery machine was sold as a CF Bedford in Australia and had a 6 cylinder Holden motor. I owned one from new in 1974, paid $4400 for it new. Enjoying your visit mate. Cheers Michael
You had me at "as exited as a grasshopper in a chicken house". Some crazy cool cars for sure. Very Well filmed & presented. Cheers from WILD Western Australia
Chad you need to visit Lengthwise Brewery in Bakersfield California the owner collects old vintage motorcycles has some nice stuff in the brewery on display they also have quality craft beer on tap
Thanks you two lot of great ideas on some of these cars nice !! Lot of cream colored cars and silver seems to be in hhmm like the red truck with the square cab corners interesting and the custom work on a lot of these cars gives you a great out look were custom cars are going yah no again thanks you two awesome video great job jolean thinking the old car you got from Jimbo would be cool to build and restore like the yellow one at this place 🎉😊

I'd like to see Jolene in most of this footage rather than Bad Chad. What do you think Boys?
I really really appreciate you guy for bringing this beautiful Museum full of beautiful cars.

Your looking for ideas for your next dozen or so builds .Thanks for all videos that you do
Great video! Thanks for taking us along!
The cover over the exhaust pipes is functional, not cosmetic. It keeps the driver from burning his/her legs.
Carros espetaculares! Que tempos fantásticos!!!

Most were labeled “ Lake Pipes” that ran done exposed on the sides. Very popular in the 1960 s
When u see two artists in love It's a Vibe
Many thanks for sharing your tour of those gorgeous cars ☺️👍❕️

Hi Chad and Jolene, the mystery machine was sold as a CF Bedford in Australia and had a 6 cylinder Holden motor. I owned one from new in 1974, paid $4400 for it new. Enjoying your visit mate.

I loved it when you pointed out the children and said “there’s the future “! Because they are our future.

Chad you need to visit Lengthwise Brewery in Bakersfield California the owner collects old vintage motorcycles has some nice stuff in the brewery on display they also have quality craft beer on tap
With ur 50 Ford custom extended headlights an tail lights, a light color would show its styling off better than a dark color… my opinion
Royal Blue with a medium tan interior
Thanks you two lot of great ideas on some of these cars nice !! 05:52 - The name _La Salle_ was a tribute to Cadillac's La Salle line of 1927 - 40.
