Jolene and Chad.. SO SO happy to see you back on this car.. I hope the .. views, comments and .. likes.. stay at a level to which it is worth your while to stay on it!!! Cheers, Bernie
What a great project. You’ve shown me and a lot of other people that if you what to fabricate a classic car you can do it. But to video this every day on this kind of car is not feasible for TV or RUclips. I appreciate the fabrication and metal work you show me on other projects. But keep it up as long as it’s good for RUclips. Thanks you Chad and Jolene.
Good luck. Watching you for couple weeks now. A newbie. Love what you can do. Watching you with the 56 Plymouth. Just love the particular car as my uncle had that same year and model. I was 7 or 8 at the time and wanted to own it but never happened. Don’t see too many of those any longer. Jolene and you are a perfect match. Always look forward to the next day.
The Bugatti is coming together nicely. I truley love the gracefully flowing lines. Styling that was well ahead of its time. I see Nathan has a cool 'bricknose' Ford flatbed off in the distance. Looks pretty cool...👍
Profanity included, one of my favorite episodes. I love the actual life experiences. Chad you have a uniquely awesome channel. Jolene is your Vanna White. She is always off camera and doing work. Love and appreciate every upload. Every attempt that you upload is the hard lesson learned. More of these please.!
Nathan's demeanor is a great compliment to Chad's flurry of creativity. The Bugati is looking fantastic and things will fall in place with a little adjusting and patients.
Chad, Jolene, & Nathan, I would have been really shocked if it had gone on with no issues. Nice work though Chad there were not that many issues. I hope that you took enough off the firewall for it to fit now. Chad it was good to have Nathan there with you he is definitely the guy you want when it comes to another set of eyes on the fitment of things. I hope the next time is a go and everything clears the chassis. Jolene are you getting more excited yet about your car getting worked on. I imagine that hurt a bit to hear about paint on the frame getting chipped off but, unfortunately those things happen when you are dealing with tight clearances on a custom build that has never been completely assembled. It will all get touched up perfectly, you will make sure of that! Great video as always, you do such a good job of making sure we get to see everything that is happening.
Yeah, getting it to fit the first time was a long shot. Close but no teddy bear! Eventually its going to be an awesome ride for Jolene. With luck she may take you with her. lol I'm glad Jolene doesn't bleep out the occassional cuse word, it keeps the vid's real. Thing that suprises me is the generally wholesome language. I think a lot of that is due to the love and respect for Jolene.
This car deserves everyone's full attention and must take everything into consideration. I understand that it's difficult for Chad to slow down because he's so worried about getting everything done in an hour but with this car he's got to get out of that time frame.
The car won't ne on the road it's a custom built has to be inspected inspector wants to see every weld.he ran sealant over welds and painted Chad knows the laws
Air ride isn't overrated if done properly. I have 4 vehicles with it currently and dozens over the years and no problems. Remember tractor trailers have air ride and go millions of miles. I'm not a troll just felt needed to defend air suspension a bit. Love what yall are doing. Watch daily and wear my Hiltz hat everwhere
Chad it takes great vision and planning to build a car from the ground up and have everything work out as close as it turning out. You are truely a master of your trade from every angle, building, restoring and modifying. Great camera as usual Jolene. AKA Rich A Paker, take care
Good work. You and Nathan work well as a team....and I didn't hear Jolene scream when you had to modify the frame again. Thanks for sharing and getting us close to the action, superb videographer, Jolene
You are lucky to have Doug and Nathan along for the build, they seem dedicated to making the dream happen , just like you and Jolene. Everybodys doing great work. Thanks for sharing your adventure .
Stay positive Chad. Just small adjustments and some paint scratches. Think ahead of your project and the safety of who's driving it. That's what matters. If you have to do those little things it's worth it in the end. Trust me I build hot rods...
You can use 1/2 diameter wood dowels about 6 inch long inserted into each corner body mounts to help align body with frame once down pullout dowels and replace with bolts.
I tell you what it’s rare having 2 men working in symbiotic fashion. Completing a task and keeping up with each other’s intelligence. You need to bring this man back.
Chad. Looking great. I would consider on the front ends of the frame horn where it is so tight using 3M weatherstrip adhesive and attaching a thin piece of inner tube to protect the paint. 2). Also at the firewall behind the heads making a bead rolled panel to give you more clearance behind the engine. If the chassis flexes you wouldn’t want the engine to contact the firewall and bang or buzz.
I still say add some beetle vents to the back of the floorboard and some kind of front vent to the cowl. Owners of the Atlantic class of Bugatti say the worst thing about the car is cabin airflow. I owned a Fairlane fastback and a racer told me he had a problem keeping rear windows in the car, but I explained after he told me he welded up the trunk lid. That Ford left a hidden gap on the back lid of the trunk for a pressure relief.
I am an old school hot rod guy, love custom sh%t. Chad you are so amazing at your craft. I watched your tv show but it did not show your real talents. Keep it up, cool stuff. You are at the top of your game.
That car is a thing of beauty. SO glad to see it starting to get put all together after all of this time. Congrats on the milestone, and continued best wishes for the future.
Hi Jolene and Chad I really dig the show watch it every day. I’ve been built hot rods 40 years I really learned a lot from Chad on the race car hauler. I think you may need caps on the exhaust stacks that allow water to get in the block. I got so many projects. I’m car poor but I was wondering what Chad’s gonna do with that 35 Bugatti he started. I love it. It is bad ass Doug from North Carolina Bad Company St. rods.
Guys are doing well, and it’s a good time to point out to some viewers is that even after mock up you can still run into little issues, but without mock up it’s way worse than what you are watching here… Good stuff guys 👍
I appreciate you keeping real your not hiding anything from your audience all struggles you are running and you overcome the obstacles that you have awesome content because your channel is not fake and in the internet people always want to show how great things are but you don’t edit videos and show everything that happens in the process awesome video today 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Pre ordered kit cars like Morgans that are built on the chassis have more fitting issues so you can't knock the 3rd test fit, especially with all the custom work Nathan had to do with Jaguar engine to get it running. I saw a vintage AA badge at a local car boot sale & snapped it up for Jolene as they look sweet on old rides, or Chad can stick it in the showroom. Wondering if i post it with for Jolene's car care of Chad & crew it will get there!
Pro tip: If you put the jack under the car at 12:00 then lift it up, you can do fine adjustments by pulling the handle to the side. As the jack pivots on the front roller the rear swivel wheels will swing the jack point a couple inches left or right.
I heard some big shot in Ontario who built a Bugatti just like your.. He was running at the mouth making like your a HillBilly making a Bugatti out of two scrap cars... Pissed me off to hear him talk like that. I saw his build on one of the channels.. He had perfect everything's.. Then latter on I saw the car on Jay Leno.. I donno nothing about the Bugatti.. Bugatti Bugatti Bugatti ! It is exciting isn't it ! Yeah for Jolene ❤ Nathan is in the house and Chad and him are laying down the body onto the chassi or frame cool ! It's Friday and way awesome day to see this all come together Thumbs-up and thanks for the content Jolene ! It is a great day ! Nite folks smash that like button !
I would recommend, if you get the body nicely fitted, then weld some guides at strategic places to help the body slide right into the right spot to line up perfectly, it will save lots of trouble next time you want to remove or mount the body again.
@@Jerry-up8bk well I am sure they will be removing the body and mount it again at least once or more before the car would even drive. The Bugatti is one of those designs where in order to do some of the stuff on it, you need to remove the body, which is very different than the Doodlebug which is a unibody.
Wow you guys got a lot accomplished today chad, stuff that had to be done,,you two guys relly work well togeather,,got to see lots of fina today, she was right into it,,lol lol,,hi Jolene your looking good today,,luv you guys,,👍👍😀
Looking good guys. Shame you couldn't fix the those bits without moving the chassis back out of the way. Might have been a good idea to mark around the tyres so you knew where to roll it back to, to make it easier to move back into the right place. It looks fantastic. Can't wait to see it finished. What colour will it be?
Wow so happy to see you moving along on that will be excited to see it with a nice coat of paint can't wait to see what color :-). Chad you do awesome work with your helper or Joline what a team keep up the great work.🎉
Just minor issues they can't handle. Just to give Chad a reminder to cut some of the aluminum firewall plate off too thats going on the fire wall. Awesome video Jolene Chad and Nate.
Them skinny cross ply looking tyres look the part but wouldn't they follow every RUT on the rd 😮 be a nightmare to drive on especially the roads we have these days , a skinny set of radials would handle better , mabe your already thinking and onto that ,mabe there just the show tyres 🤔 I guess that's the last thing ya thinking off at moment still a massive job to still do ahead but bloody amazing a thing off beauty a real credit to you guys 👍💯
Great to see the Bugatti getting fitted... you guys are awesome and Nathan is a great addition... I like his positive attitude... Jolene, what can I say... each day great.
things sticking out of the guards and the middle of the roof they might be from the moulds if you could shave them off it would look a better just my opinion sick looking project this one can't wait to see it how it drives keep up the good work guys Jolene your camera work is getting very good 👍
Jolene Chad isn't thinking about a few things because he moves to damn fast. The problem with the tiny bit he cut out is yes it will fit close but he's not taking in to consideration the movement that body is going to move because of the body mounts. He has the opportunity to open it up right now because he just put back half what he took off and after bodywork and paint, it's going to rub. It doesn't matter one bit how much he takes out because you will never see it but it's going to be a very bad day when it doesn't fit
That cars has beautiful lines for days I'll bet jolene can't wait to drive it I think it should be shown at the biggest car shows it should go to pebble beach it's just a piece of art that isn't finished but you already know it's a winner
Two words for you: wheel dollies! Even cheap furniture dollies would have made that so much easier. Great to see the Bugatti back on the front burner again!
As a vehicle built to "show" level, the under body structure should be closed in with polished aluminum panels, with designs rolled into them. The square section structure should be bonded to the floor panels with seam sealer, before installing the finishing panels with stainless steel blind rivets.
