when my mom was a kid in San Jose in the 50s they had a field trip to the Rosicrucian Muesum there was a lot of warehouses and inside were tons of mummies being studied.
Nissan Rogue owner here. The oil change warning is on a timer - there's no connection to any internal diagnostics - it will show up at a programmed interval. If Enterprise is doing regular maintenance on their fleet you shouldn't have worried. Still, after all the car trouble you've had I can see it being disconcerting.
So excited to see you in my hometown! I went to high school a block up from here and a friend of mine worked here for 10 years. Such a cool spot in our city. Hope you enjoyed your visit.
Even with car trouble you still found interesting places and things to see and a good Monopoly story. I have bankrupted people by buying up the properties on the first side (we called them the “slum” properties) and build them up to hotels but we used free parking as the pot. Lots of trash talking took place too, in good fun.
I'm the guy that suggested the museum and sorry because I said Great America was closed for the winter but I'm glad you checked and it was open weekends. The museum had a machine where you pay and it would give you a paper with your name in hieroglyphics. Don't know if you missed it or it's gone now. Also did you miss the gift shop? Love your videos thank you so much.
I grew up in San Jose, and in elementary school when we were studying ancient Egypt, of course we had to go on a field trip to the Rosicrucian. It's a fascinating place; I've been several times since.
I'm not sure if anyone had answered this or not but the potatoes had most likely some onion but also cabbage in it. A very traditional Irish side dish called colcannon. I was just talking to my husband about it last night and how delicious it is. We had our traditional corned beef and cabbage with potatoes and carrots yesterday.
Hey Jacob. I lived in Sunol ( Sun - ole )for may years with Bosco as our Mayor. Funny thing though I am now living in a small socal town of Idyllwild and our Mayor is a dog as well (Mayor Max) a golden retriever. I am one of a few people that have lived in 2 town with dog Mayors...
Jacob!!😮really! Glad it wasn’t anything more problematic. That you seemed to take it all in stride and w/ a smile is quite heartening. Be safe and go onward!👍 So, you've found your way to San Jose! You do know the way!😉 Lots of interesting stuff there. The things you've shown so far, I never even imagined were there (used to go around in San Jose when my brother lived there-early 90s).
I've had this happen with rental cars. They typically say "it's just a warning light that it's due.". They have specific locations to get oil changes done (cheap places). They don't want to "risk" customers getting work done from somewhere as that can cause liability problems. World's largest monopoly board is really cool! Where's the largest Subway sandwich restaurant?
Jacob, thank you for taking my suggestion for the Rosicrucian Museum. I am sure others also suggested it, but it is a great location. I knew you had wanted to see some mummies :)
I Love Monopoly, Me and my Mom play against each other. I'm the same way as You when I play my mom. But we have fun and enjoy competing against one another. Keep your videos coming. Also keep staying positive and don't let these stressful things bring you down. Many Blessings
Jacob! The woman would stand on the bricks, and squat to deliver the baby. As odd as it seems to us today, that was (and is in some places) a common position for birth, which uses gravity to help the process.
I know this trip was a really bumpy road so to say, but I have been tuning in to all the episodes just to follow the car drama! I’m glad you are in good health, that’s most important and getting back to your scheduled program. But on the bright side, the car troubles really have me me on the edge of my seat for the next video 😂
At least with them being rental cars the hiccups don't cost you out of pocket and you get another vehicle hopefully sooner than later 😊 Safe and trouble free travels from now on 🍀😸💚
OH MAN YOU'RE IN MY NECK OF THE WOODS THIS TIME. Thats so cool, loving seeing the places you popped into... especially the museum and Monopoly board. You used to be able to rent pieces to play an actual game, but I dont think it was popular enough for it to keep going lol But it was probably one of the coolest things that happened in DTWN San Jose. Hope you enjoyed yourself!
That Egyptian museum really is something else, holy cow. The tomb recreation alone is super cool, theme park level stuff. Also gotta say as a fellow dad, that your story about your daughter crushing her friends mercilessly using what she learned from you really warmed my heart haha.
I'm so thrilled you enjoyed your visit to the museum! I practically lived there when I lived in San Jose. I guess I was one of a bunch of us who suggested that you check it out. I used to try to scare my sister when we were in the reproduction of the tomb.... I was a jerk of an older sister.... She's my best friend now ❤. That monopoly game is awesome! That's the perfect place for one of your meet and greets. You could sell monopoly pieces that look like mold-a-ramas... Thanks so much for visiting the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum.... It was great getting to see it again.... Hopefully the rest of your trip will be trouble free.
Hi Jacob! I saw a mayor dog "Golden Retriever" last year year in Idyllwild, California, so they do exist. Keep safe and crossing my fingers on a better vehicle for you. Thanks for recently adding that new pin to the front of your hat. 😊
It would be tremendous fun to play Giant Monopoly 😃 and especially if it was with You Jacob 🙌😺🌟😁 I hope things go smoothly with Your journey from now on 🤞🙏🍀☮️💗😻
That was a really interesting Egyptian Museum . I did notice something missing in their displays and that was their splendid jewelry. I never liked Monopoly because my sister used to always cheat LOL That was so cool the Dog Mayor. Sorry you are having such car troubles on this trip . Happy St. Patrick's Day☘☘Supper looked good . Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤
Glad you were able to do the Rosicrucian Egyptian museum. I grew up in San Jose, and my trips to that place with my dad are amongst some of my most treasured memories. I was so fascinated by the mummies. At that time the tomb would be roped off and there would only be certain times a guide would take you through. I’m not sure when it became a self-guided display, but when I took my own kids (who are adults now) it was already that way.
Jacob don't give up on your journeys we all get set backs just keep on!! Know your special prayed for and thought of by me. Jesus always loves you take care continue to be safe on roads and watch out for other drivers. Just ate at a good Mexican restaurant in Columbia SC today now getting stuff done at house.
Many people who think monopoly takes too long aren't aware of the rule that states if the person who lands on an unclaimed space doesn't want to buy it, it goes up for auction.
Huge parenting win! It was the same with me and my dad and mini-golf. I'll never forget the day I finally beat him at 10 years old. I still love playing, and my kid finally beat ME for the first time last year lol. I can also relate about finding people to play board games with for some reason....hahahaha
dang Jacob that reminds me of the PT cruisers we used to have at thrifty rent-a-car people are having problems with those left and right but I noticed it was all the same license plate letters TAW so we started calling it the TAW flaw seems to me like it'll probably just needs to check and see if the Nissan's are recalled for some reason
The problem with Monopoly is most people play it wrong. The official rules state that if a player lands on an unowned property and declines to purchase it, the property immediately goes up for auction to the highest bidder. This causes the game to move MUCH faster. It also encourages property trading and deal making.
Enjoyed the vlog,I am also a major Monopoly addict, have the old WII system and play monopoly at least once a day on it(just play against the game system)I pretty well agree with your strategy on winning! I hope your new rental car works out for you! "Safe travels"
Carpetbagger, now that I have had my kidney transplant, I would travel anywhere to play Monopoly with you my friend! Peace and luck to you and your adventures.
I loved this video, especially the Egyptian information i was unfamiliar with, but I really am so sorry this crappy stuff keeps happening, and I'm proud of you for keeping such a good attitude even though you're stressed. Just keep being safe and know we are all sending good vibes to you. ❤🙏
Brother, I don’t know if you’re smoking something or you’re drinking something or you’re just enjoying yourself again but it’s a blessing to see you having fun and it’s fun to smile and laugh with you brother 😃😂👍🙏
I really don't like the shrunken heads at the Ripley's museums. Every time I saw one I was thinking how sad it is. Those are the remains of actual human beings.
Oy, so much car troubles. I hope you have smooth sailing from here on out. I love Monopoly so much and played it with my two boys so much one of them started collecting the different types of Monopoly gameboards.
Man, I had an issue with an Enterprise car for my fiancé and they were very quick to fix the issue but still very frustrating! Keep your head up, Jacob! Hope you have a safe and uneventful trip!
Rental shops are independent. So they always try to dump vehicles that need work/maintenance onto other shops. Also probably why they couldn't find it because the shop(s) where probably lagging on update the main system where the vehicle is to force the 'receiving shop' to deal with the maintained. Its a bit gross but it is what it is.
Never thought I'd see mummies so well preserved in an exhibit like this along with the re-creation of Egyptian houses and tombs, very interesting indeed. BTW: on that monopoly board, if you were a token which one would you be?
As a former enterprise employee they have a bad habit of renting cars in need of a oil change I heard a lot of people coming in to the branch I worked at not so happy about the car ^^;
While watching the part on the Monopoly board, I wondered if they have tournaments there where people pay to play the game and there are spectators watching. That would be cool. Stay strong, Jacob!
i LOVE this place. i grew up in san jose and this was my favorite place to go. sadly didnt get a chance to go before i left cali. glad to see it still getting love

OMG!!!! I live about a mile from the Rosicrucian Museum, and work in an office even closer!! I just went there on Thursday as I took my walk to the museum, then walked around the gardens. I would have LOVED to run into Carpetbagger as he's one of my (and my family's) favorite RUclipsrs!! The real interesting thing is that, as always, Jacob's observations are unique- even though I've visited the museum dozens of times, you noticed bits and pieces I never did. A timer? Thats useless to everyone. Why would that ever be q good idea?
exactly, I never use those built in timers, I do 5K+ miles on my vehicles with synthetics the time of 3K oil changes is well behind us.
@@danielhubschmitt7897 Useless to everyone who is not as smart as you. That's why.
My condolences for your POS Nissan.
Did you check the oil change sticker and make sure it wasn’t done ? Could just be the timer
Oh my goodness Jacob!
Bless you!
Thanks for hanging in there and taking us along on the adventures.
So excited to see you in my hometown! I went to high school a block up from here and a friend of mine worked here for 10 years. Such a cool spot in our city. Hope you enjoyed your visit.
Hang in there Jacob! Crazy times.
This was one of my favorite videos! Safe travels!
Omg Jacob thank you so much for going to the rosacrution museum!!!! Thank you for reading my suggestion, I'm thrilled 😀 told you it was super cool 😎
Playing a game of monopoly on that giant monopoly board would be so awesome
You are national treasure in your country, with all do love and respect from 🇨🇦
I’m starting to think the cars just give up when they see you coming. 😂😂

Very cool Museum! You could write a book of all the cool places to see around the United States..
😂😂😂 he stops to pick his nose and restarts, but doesn’t actually edit out the first take. 🤣
Those were micro greens on your plate, totally edible and nutritious. Loved the Monopoly board!

Cool!!
Came here to suggest Idyllwild as well!
that is just so fantastic! Woof!!!

Hahaha , Jacob you jinxed it ,in the last video you said this is the vehicle that will take me home lol
Brilliant museum. I have really enjoyed this!!!!! XX
I've heard stories of rental car companies losing track of long term rentals and then having the customers arrested for stealing the car.
Wow 😳
I love playing monopoly too. I also can never get anybody to play it with me. I have way too many different monopoly boards.
My favorite museum you did was the spy museum, still my all time favorite.
I Love Monopoly, Me and my Mom play against each other. I'm the same way as You when I play my mom. But we have fun and enjoy competing against one another. Keep your videos coming. Also keep staying positive and don't let these stressful things bring you down. Many Blessings

When my parents were married in 1939 one of the games they enjoyed playing was Monopoly.
That Egyptian museum really is something else, holy cow. The tomb recreation alone is super cool, theme park level stuff. Also gotta say as a fellow dad, that your story about your daughter crushing her friends mercilessly using what she learned from you really warmed my heart haha.
i’ve been to that museum a couple of times, the Rosicrucians are an… interesting bunch, lol.

Makes me absolutely want to not deal with Enterprise. Good luck Jacob!
I always loved the green spots.... I KNOW they are really expensive but whenever I got those I WON. thanks for sharing.

When it rains it pours. I'm so sorry you are having a hard time with these vehicles.
Sorry for all your bad luck but love your videos please keep them coming 😊
You gave me new ideas for redoing my pavers into a gameboard! Thanks 😊
Picking a game is the hardest part 😫
Carpetbagger, now that I have had my kidney transplant, I would travel anywhere to play Monopoly with you my friend! Peace and luck to you and your adventures.

That is crazy with the rental cars !!! Cool museum. 🥰
A very tasty episode of the clean plate club.
I have rented from Enterprise for several years without any problems. Hopefully your luck will improve! 🙃💖
It would appear they are quite responsive and good from a service point of view. It would be better still, when the service was not needed.
Still on the fence about extracting and displaying mummies. Seems like it would be considered grave desecration. Fascinating though.
I really don't like the shrunken heads at the Ripley's museums. Every time I saw one I was thinking how sad it is. Those are the remains of actual human beings.
I live right near the rosicrution museum! Damn just missed u
Also just have to say - absolutely LOVING the new 'what did we learn today?' kind of morale of the story/video segment at the end lately 😂
I asked and the gods delivered!!! Best labyrinth channel!!! More labyrinth content!!!
Memorable one. Cheers!
Agree fully about Monopoly! Would gladly play a game with you next time you visit The Henry Ford or Marvin's museum (grew up 2 miles from Marvin's)
SJ was one of the first Egyptian museums out of Egypt.
Was there a Nissan there
Our family LOVES Monopoly! I would love to see this board someday.
Everyone needs a Bosco beer tap! Clever 😂
Oy, so much car troubles. I hope you have smooth sailing from here on out.
I love Monopoly so much and played it with my two boys so much one of them started collecting the different types of Monopoly gameboards.
omg I'm sorry but I love how positive you are ! Hopefully things will run smoothly. I love you ❤🎉😢
At this point I think I would have refused another Nissan Rogue…. That’s ridiculous
Man, I had an issue with an Enterprise car for my fiancé and they were very quick to fix the issue but still very frustrating! Keep your head up, Jacob! Hope you have a safe and uneventful trip!
Jacob, you are having so crazy cars issues!! My daughter said, "Maybe stop getting Nissans....lol" Stay safe hun!

Love the Rosicrucian Museum! Especially the cat mummies
The Getty Villa is a beautiful museum too.
Fantastic museum of all things Egyptian mummies. Love it ❤ Thanks Jacob!
And...I would so enjoy a game of Monopoly on that giant board. 🎲 🎲.
I got to see the real king tut sarcophagus in LA as a teenager with my parents. It was pretty damn cool...
I found the Egyptian Museum interesting. Enjoyed seeing the largest Monopoly board. Neat! I'll come play you a game. I would love it!
Never thought I'd see mummies so well preserved in an exhibit like this along with the re-creation of Egyptian houses and tombs, very interesting indeed. BTW: on that monopoly board, if you were a token which one would you be?

U can pay a fee to the city and play a game with large pieces !!
i LOVE this place. i grew up in san jose and this was my favorite place to go. sadly didnt get a chance to go before i left cali. glad to see it still getting love
Bosco is the goodest Mayer! I thought about you last weekend, in Concord Mills Mall in Concord, NC has a store that only sells crocks!
What does goodest mean
All I can say is Oh My Goodness!! I will not rent a car from them. Stay safe out there Jacob
You are now at the Egyptian Museum. It has really been improved! Since I was young, I would go there ALL the time! The tomb down below used to have King Tut near it. You are making us homesick! Hope you enjoy SJ ❤
The biggest monopoly would be fun
Has anyone ever taken screen shots of Jacob putting his face in those photo-op things and photoshopping them together so all of the faces have Jacob in them at the same time? Cause someone should do that....

I have a older Nissan rogue owner and I have never had any problems with it!! I love ❤️ Egyptian treasures!!
I'd love to play giant monopoly, looks like fun
I am watching the latest video and it seems the audio is not synced

When i was a medic in the US ARMY, i was taking a speech class @ night. For my final i did a speech on history of medical equipment. While doing research i discovered that that there was a history of people who ground mummy powder was used as a type of medicine for different ailments.
The Egyptians and monopoly can give you some good luck 🍀
I actually live 2 mins from a Roman Fort and museum that is still being excavated. They have reconstructed the gatehouse and bathhouse which you are allowed in. And when we have really bad storms with rough seas roman coins are washed up on the beach. The Fort used to be the first stop for any ships hitting the North East of England. Also 15 mins from remnants of Hadrians wall.
Classic Carpetbagger Vibes ✌️
Enterprise is mostly a garbage rental company. I had one that was provided by an insurance company from the person that damaged my car. It had a massive oil leak that dumped oil on my garage floor and almost all of their cars stink of cigarette smoke.
Love that Monopoly Board❣️& Dog Beer Tap❣️ 🍺
