Lol I used to work for a different major beauty retailer and having to replace the testers of those "natural" products after people have put their hands in them and they get all weird and moldy was grosssss
Take care of yourself Cass. Don't stress, whatever is going on. Everything is temporary. You'll pull through. P.S: YES to the video on growing stuff inside of things without preservatives. It'd be a super important video for people getting into skincare and help with certain ingredients being demonized.
I'm interested in seeing that too and it's true that so many ingredients have been demonized and became unpopular because of companies fear mongering. Preservatives and alcohols have an important place in products and would love to hear Cassandra talk about that more. Like, I would never just pour 90% isopropyl alcohol on a cotton round and wipe my face with it, However I will use it on cuts, scrapes, and even to dry out a pimple by using just a tiny bit on a q-tip.
I think it's starting to turn the other way where people are now shaming people who don't like a lot of preservatives. Myself I only looked into preservatives when I had an allergic reaction to a new moisturiser and again with a sunscreen. I thought it was just a break out but nope. There are several (I think about 6 or 7) preservatives and fragrances that many people are reactive or allergic to. That said if you aren't allergic to them then yes, don't fear them they have a purpose.
I love Debby. I used to watch the Jesse show every time I babysat. Drove the kids nuts. But the babysitter was way more chill after a good laugh. So thanks for keeping me sane Debby. 🙃
I would love to see what grows in preservative free products! Also a video on some popular skin tech devices and whether they’re a gimmick or not would be really cool!
I think the Tatcha water cream is really great. It is expensive but as someone with sensitive acne prone skin who has trouble finding moisturizers… I’ll happily use it! There are other more affordable options but I do think it’s really very nice on the skin. And it doesn’t cause me any irritation which is a big deal ❤️🌊

I’d love to see you compare LED masks from Dennis Gross, Deesse Express Pro (shani Darden touts the “full” version that’s less budget friendly), Omnilux, and Current Body!
Yaaasss to all of this. You are fantastic and uplifting. I'd love to see a review of the sunscreen with also a comparison to the neova tinted sunscreen. Have you done any videos on dna Repair? I'd LOVE to hear your thoughts!!!
when the dropper touches the skin it can grab onto bacteria and when you put it back in the bottle it can spread bacteria. The applicator doesn't stay in the product and it doesn't run the same risk.
It's because the droppers are not designed to touch the skin (hand or face) so they may have less preservatives in on account of not needing to counteract that. That said pretty sure L'Oreal products are like 25% preservatives so she should be fine.
I actually purchased the Dennis Gross mask and it works for me. I have acne and scars and since I’m doing a laser treatment soon and cannot use BHA and AHA and retinoids and all those good things, my mask is the only thing holding my skin together and I have no pimples (even during my period) For me it was worth the money, but I think you should get these solarium things for the eyes to protect yourself
I would love to see you review the Solawave. As a price point it’s a lot more accessible than a mask but I have a lot of doubts about trying it. It seems way too good to be true.
I use a baby wash cloth when washing my face about once a week, maybe twice. Any more and I'm dried out with sensitivities; any less and I get flaky/changes the textures of my skin.
@@sharroon7574 with my fingers/hands. I use a gentle cleanser called Vegan Ceramide Extra Gentle Face Wash by Pacifica. I don't wear makeup up very often though. When I do wear makeup, I use a cleansing balm first and then use the Pacifica face wash after that. I apply my serums etc while my face is still moist, and then follow up with a lotion or cream depending on how my skin is feeling that day.
Something I really never seen anyone who has in dept knowledge about formulation and chemist of products is about these "detox" serums. I spray a mistwater and then a facial oil or a nightcream (I live in Sweden with very dry air during wintertime).

She is from Disney channel, one of my favorite sitcom.
Hi Casandra, genuine question, what's the difference to putting a dropper on the face and an eye cream/serum with an applicator? Both touch the skin x
when the dropper touches the skin it can grab onto bacteria and when you put it back in the bottle it can spread bacteria. The applicator doesn't stay in the product and it doesn't run the same risk.
You can wash the applicator
things with applicators meant to go on the skin will usually have the correct preservatives in, so the bacteria won’t grow as easily!
It's because the droppers are not designed to touch the skin (hand or face) so they may have less preservatives in on account of not needing to counteract that. That said pretty sure L'Oreal products are like 25% preservatives so she should be fine.
