Some additional pertinent info about this skincare line:
    - the owner of Glow Skin Enhancement is an unlicensed esthetician who claims she has "the gift of skin" and has no mention of having any formal background in chemistry or other relevant fields, so it's presumed that she is just picking ingredients willy-nilly to put in her products
    - there are dangerous ingredient combinations within the same products: resorcinol and salicylic acid should NOT be used together, yet both are in the miracle bar which is very liekly to cause severe skin irritation
    - GSE has posted videos of these prodicuts being packaged with 0 gloves or hairnets, and there is even video of a dog pooping in her treatment room during an appointment.
Overall, it seems like there is no respect for the health and safety of their clients. It's nauseating honestly.

Because you can still have makeup and know about skincare? Trisha doesnt seem like it but people who do makeup usually have a better grasp on taking take of their skin because at least they cleanse properly if they were informed correctly. Some old school/classic moisturizers (vaseline/petroleum jelly, weleda skinfood original cream, aveeno eczema therapy balm, etc) work well as a primer or highlighter too so they often up using those to moisturize so there is that too. A lot of old school skincare influencers in korea for example (old school as in before youtube was a thing or became popular there) were makeup artists.

All of the products that I work on have to be FDA approved and they are VERY strict. The fact that someone can put random ingredients in a jar and say, "Put this on your face" and there's no regulation baffles me. Plus they can say anything they want in their advertising. "Look 10 years younger!" with no evidence that the products work. That should be a crime. These kinds of cash grab horrors just end up inevitably taking advantage of people out there who don't have the means or access to know all of the things Cassandra discusses here. It all gets shipped off to a discount store in a country with as few consumer protections as possible, or in a neighbourhood that should have consumer protections, but that no one of any authority will pay any attention to. The worst part is that with that packaging it's probably going to end up as some 12 year old's Christmas or birthday present from a well meaning, out of touch, aunt or grandparent. By tapping into the ASMR thing too she's hit a "trend" keyword that triggers in people when they're looking for something for someone. So maybe all they know about someone is that they use ASMR videos to sleep. They see this and BAM! it's a cute gift idea. Basically, you would get a lot of clueless stares.

Also if they were gonna go for ASMR as an abbreviation it should have been A is for anti-aging (retinol), S is for spf (sunscreen), M is for moisturizing (cream or lotion), R is for revitalizing (vitamin c). Although I say she should have just gone with for a AHA+BHA line cuz she is known for getting chemical peels.

thank you seriously from the bottom of my heart for putting this video out addressing her skincare line. i really was hoping someone would. over the years, as i’ve struggled with acne & normal signs of skin aging being 28, i’ve educated myself thoroughly to figure out what is best for my skin & what is good for skin in general. i’ve tried it all & learned my lessons sometimes the hard way. it really truly scares me how she’s just throwing products out there with these questionable ingredients, as i know simply layering your skincare wrong or using 2 ingredients that don’t agree can cause irritation.. 😰 i feel bad for the people who fall for these scammy celebrity/influencer skincare lines. it will burn your skin & then you’re out $200. listen to cassandra or dr. dray, people! better yet, just go to a licensed derm if you’re having serious skincare concerns!!!

One girl was adamant about camels milk healing cancer and acne… she wrote a whole paper on how science ignores studying it to protect camels.
Listening to her presentation were baffeling with her lack of credibility and her complete inability to identify credible sources. But whenever she was confronted about it she would go off on tangents about how “scientists cover up so much knowledge, and hide the reality from us”. I’m honestly glad her and people like her couldn’t pass the classes to graduate.

Also it seems like a small issue but it creates physical health, mental health and financial issues. Awareness and introspection is required at great lengths to understand the ends of skin care and self care. It doesn't matter who launches what. It is essential to look that does it helps with the goals I'm trying to achieve. Or am I being used as a pawn of this billion dollar industry.

Well I am engaging positively with this content because it addresses important issues regarding the actual possible real damage that poorly manufactured skincare can cause along with industries and people doing all that they can to monetize people in every way possible. I have followed and enjoyed your content since 2020 when I discovered skincare wasn’t just in my bathroom but on RUclips and you along with a select other few have become my favorites to get opinions, information and product recommendations from as well as helping me to better take care of myself when everything is falling apart in other ways. I don’t engage much because adhd is hard and committing to discords and chat forums is a bit overwhelming for me, but I am really going to try to comment on all of my favorites and their videos more because of the impact that you all have had on my life and what gifts you have all provided to a community that I didn’t know existed. My only thing is that I wish you guys had all been there years ago when I was being called “pizza face” and I could have found comfort way back when. I guess I don’t want other kiddos and young people growing up thinking the way I did and dealing with the shame that can come with severe acne or other skin related “imperfections.” Sooo if that means commenting and engaging with honest and forthright individuals who give so much, that is something I can settle with the adhd later. Sorry for the long rant, tried writing posts many times, but I panic and then stop since it all seems silly coming from a nearly 30 year old adult who can’t focus long enough to sort out their thoughts. Anyway, I am finally doing it because of reason listed above. Keep being a great cyst-er because I know what it would have meant to me back then to see someone who has gone through it all too and I’m sure it’s how people now think whenever they tune in. 💜🤗

It is so blatantly clear that no thought went into these products. From formulation, ingredients, packaging...it's just so NOT good. Skincare isn't an easy money grab. If you're trying to make it one, the products still HAVE to be decent for the price. This is a joke that it isn't funny. 🤷‍♀️

Please note that mandatory INCI ingredient labelling only applies to cosmetic products, and does not apply to drugs or natural health products. The label must be legible and follow all other labelling requirements outlined in the Cosmetic Regulations and the Consumer Packaging and Labelling Act.

....yikes. So much yikes. Trish really needs to stick to her kitchen floor videos and never make a product again.

Can you do a video on the Il Makiage eye cream? It used to just be foundation but there's a lot more products now. I love your videos!

One question: on La Mer moisturing cream the first ingredient is algae (seeweed) extract, would it possible that La Mer made a mistake as well?
