Another top review, most people that I know don't want "active safety" features. There is no evidence that these electronic warning chimes etcetera actually reduce accidents or deaths. In some cases I believe they could and have actually caused accidents, especially active type steering and braking. I have experienced this myself in a new lexus hire car this year. The car vigorous braked by itself as i was about to go around a tight corner, I was nearly rear ended by the car following. I was looking at ordering a Grenadier a couple of years ago before they had that huge price rise. I sold my FTE landcruiser and purchased a used RAM 1500 instead. The Grenadier looks like a great alternative except for the BMW engines, low carrying capacity and poor left foot room for the driver. I had a Defender 130 previously which is why I was keen for the Grenadier. The 130 is the best ute I have owned. All the best utes have coil suspension all around as does the Grenadier, Ram 1500, Defender and Patrol ST coil cabs.
The best alternative to an Ineos Grenadier is another, perhaps in a different colour. It is the best vehicle we have driven. The footwell is not an issue; set the seat right. A furphy, you never wanted one if you think like that! With Ineos, you get so much value that little extra is needed.
Matt, was there an actual issue with the 4wd selector or would it not shift because you had the vehicle in Park. Did you try putting the gearbox in neutral
@ yeah for sure. I’ve test driven a grenadier but not off road so I didn’t try locking the centre diff or putting it in low range so I’m not sure if it needs to be in neutral for it to work. It was just a thought and he didn’t seem to address the issue in the video.
Zero wrong with collar of selector, it's purely operator error. 4WD into low range, MUST be in NEUTRAL in all vehicles with transfer case (simple mechanics, input drive must be released prior). Strange thing was, he'd known that, as he did utilise low range in sand (stated in video) the previous day. Simple stuff up in the anxiousness of the moment. Obviously the vehicle is more than capable of doing it, but Matt in a moment 🤔😥😅, Not So Capable.
Nice one Matt. Thank you. The clowns at Carsales simply have NFI. I even left my final comment by saying I’ll just save time and go to your channel. This one’s not for me as apart from loving the airplane like instrumentation, it just looks a bit fugly. I’ll keep my Raptor for the off-road stuff, although the BYD offering at least wants me to test drive it. 👍😎🇦🇺
I love the interior of these cars. As much as I very much prefer the interior on newer Chinese utes over the old roller bin plastic cheapness with some remaining dials you find in japanese and american utes and offroad vehicles, old school switches as Ineos use are still king. If you are going to commit, commit.
Being an old bloke I definitely prefer no teck as it’s annoying, all that binging and bonging,I’d definitely look at one of these when I’m due to upgrade
Biggest concern is the W engine may be fine in Europe with greater access to parts but here in Oz this will become an issue eventually. However if buy new and only keep for the length of the lease could be ok.
Right! Wouldn’t consider a new V6 Ranger, or Amarok? I’ve done an Amarok towing test - you’ll find it on the channel. I have requested a Quartermaster for a tow test too!!
I think a lot of people are holding out for GVM upgrades before buying and then going through the SSM route before registering. I’m not buying until there is a GVM & GCM upgrade.
Went for a test drive and found the footwell incredibly narrow and as I left foot brake (driving 40+yrs) found it nigh on impossible to rest my left foot anywhere. This unfortunately was the deal breaker for me.
Active saftey.....if you need all that stuff you SHOULD NOT get behind the wheel, just dam concentrate on you driving If I had the money I would buy one in a heartbeat.......
I watched this recently and as time goes on the Ineos grows on me, the two things that make me ponder are the fuel tank.. way too small and the turning circle, until I watched this video which has an interesting turning circle hack ruclips.net/video/JcNQoD2a_fQ/видео.html
If you just want a vehicle for work to flip for a new one every 5 years then I agree with you. If you think it is only worth $65K to you then that is what it is worth to you. There isn't a $65K 4WD that comes even close to it. I have the Station Wagon that I use for work. I have done just under 30,000 kms and I took delivery exactly one year ago today 31st October.

Saw my first ineos grenadier (wagon) yesterday, actually a pretty good looking vehicle IRL. I'd definitely love to own one.
I Like the looks! I'm happy doesn't have safety technology ! Also too expensive to buy!
Matt, was there an actual issue with the 4wd selector or would it not shift because you had the vehicle in Park. Did you try putting the gearbox in neutral
Yeah, it would have been good to see him rock the vehicle back and forward to see if it would go in.
@ yeah for sure. I’ve test driven a grenadier but not off road so I didn’t try locking the centre diff or putting it in low range so I’m not sure if it needs to be in neutral for it to work. It was just a thought and he didn’t seem to address the issue in the video.
@@PRINCEDOG You can put the centre diff lock in at speed, goes in easily, low needs N selected first
Yeah he got the sequence wrong

Love it but really wish it had a proper speedo and rev counter in front of the driver.
Hope they upgrade it soon

ADAS, or lack thereof does not worry me. Adaptive cruise control would be nice. Crash testing data would also be nice.
Being an old bloke I definitely prefer no teck as it’s annoying, all that binging and bonging,I’d definitely look at one of these when I’m due to upgrade
6:57 Hey Matt, appeared to have off-road maps on the head unit? Was that native or through CarPlay? Do you know the map app that was running?
Looking through the comments and know one mentioned it, I think it looks like the Land Rover defender.
Not a deal breaker, I think the benefits outweigh the conserns
Biggest concern is the W engine may be fine in Europe with greater access to parts but here in Oz this will become an issue eventually. However if buy new and only keep for the length of the lease could be ok.
Looking at this or the Grenadier to tow a large horse float. Currently using a 2020 Ranger 3.2L and need more grunt.

Wouldn't high range lower revs not lower them?
60s Falcon tail lights!

Love the pommy four door. However I’ve heard horror stories regarding spare parts
Single cab please!👍🏼
Would be great hey?
Hmmm, I thought it was the new KIA ute review?! Looks kinda similar .... :-)
Went for a test drive and found the footwell incredibly narrow and as I left foot brake (driving 40+yrs) found it nigh on impossible to rest my left foot anywhere. This unfortunately was the deal breaker for me.
I thought the same, even on the drive home, now after 15k klms i don't even notice it
I like the look of these but I am not sure that I could live with one.
YES YES YES. You are using RIP again! Lol
Only when it’s clickable. 🙈
Rear seats are useless to me, I’d prefer a space cab with a longer tray and portal axles, until then, it’s just a cool truck to me.
The gladiator actually only comes with a 2.0 petrol turbo now.
The updated one isn’t in Australia yet and it was said to continue with the 3.6.
@therightcar oh right. Thanks. I guess it's just the wrangler with the 2 litre
Reliability???
I hoped you enjoyed the Recaro's. Sadly no more. Thanks to bad management. Recaro has gone into liquidation...☹️ Some of the best seat's ever made.
Nope they've been bought out, and there keeping the record name for time being. 👍atb
Looks pretty interesting but for that price idk😅
It’s actually a pretty good value proposition
How much in Australia??
@@bonjovi1354 prices are listed in the video
Needs to be in N to shift H/L….
If that looks good then the kia is a stunner 😊
It surprises me all the ignorants that are commenting about the looks. And l meant it as an insult to them as well. Long time old owner of a 130.
Will never touch a vehicle without adaptive CC, and emergency warring/ braking
Okay, this one isn’t for you.
Active saftey.....if you need all that stuff you SHOULD NOT get behind the wheel, just dam concentrate on you driving

I like it
This ienos makes the Kia Tasman look like Elle McPherson.
One huge problem, it's english construction , not known for their reliability.
Not made in Britain. It’s made in a former Mercedes plant in Hambach, France.
The normalising of $100,000+ utility vehicles in Australia.
It’s not a normal ute.
Ummmmm, I want one 🙂

Kia Tasman similar styling will be lot cheaper...
So... it's already broken. Hmm...
is it reliable being european
Low Range Only in N !!!!!
I know why Europe car company struggling, VW one of them.
No no. Price is not for me and back seat is a total disappointment
Looks ugly as fuck, with the tub. Would look good with a Norweld tray, though.
Not weld are already manufacturing
Sorry Norweld
Giving discount deal as well I hear😮.
no thanks, 100k for a something that will be gone in 5 years--- its worth 65k
Where is it going? Lmao
Made in Europe, BMW engine, ZF gearbox, live axles, very well made and fitted out,
It’s actually a very good value proposition

@@CatFinder3000 It’s a rich man’s ego-build. And a BMW engine ? I like it but let’s see in 5 years…
I like your reviews but could you pleaser not say “as well” so much?
Looks uglier than a Mahindra
