I'm really glad that you decided to hang on to this bad boy. The only automotive channels that I religiously follow are yours and TFL's. With them ditching their Grenadier, it'll be intetesting to see how yours holds up over a longer period. Cheers, and all the best in '25!
Grateful that you are showcasing everyday long term reviews. The fact that you stated the more you drive the Ineos the more you enjoy it excites me about this vehicle. Its a term that is hardly ever used for cars today. I've missed out on some of your updates as you have added some rather serious aftermarket tires and wheels since I saw your last Ineos vid where you bought this one. Cheers! Keep 'em coming.
LOL! I can tell you love this vehicle. My son just bought one is why I'm watching. I'd certainly get that wheel taken care of before you're out of warranty. I've had three Fords with stitched leather wheels totaling about 600,000 miles and never saw a stitch come loose.
Thanks for the update and yes please providing them...test drove a Grenadier...1st impression was fantastic, loved driving the vehicle...just have to get around the price tag... 😞
Knocking in the rear could be the smaller of the two rear seat backs rattling on its pivot point. I had the same noise and thought it was the rear door but it was actually the smaller seat back. Hit the top side of the seat back with your hand from the cargo area side and listen for a metal on metal knocking noise. If it’s the seat back there are some small nylon like bushing that need to be replaced at the pivot to fix the knocking. Either that or they replace the back seat frame.
Spare wheel is the issue for sure, 500 miles of corrugated roads and the door will be stuffed. Hopefully ARB will create a swing away wheel holder for it. As that wheel on the door, is the first thing we would ditch in Aust it will stuff the door in no time at all.
Prerequisites to owning one of these vehicles should owning a Land Rover series truck, then a Defender and then you get to buy an Ineos Grenadier. Anyone that has worked himself up to a Grenadier through a Series 2 and then a Defender will know exactly what I’m talking about. I’m buying one in spite of the little noise coming out of the spare tire and the misaligned door. As long as it has heat and doesn’t leak, I’m good with that, damn the price point. An old Land Rover mechanic once said to me “ You have to have the stomach for these things.” I saw that as a challenge and I’ve been driving them ever since. This vehicle is just the next step in the journey. Hop in and quit complaining.
might the noise be the bottle jack on left side in back??? I've heard some mention that. Solution is to just "jack it" a bit so it is tight in stowage area.
I wonder if you turn your wheel all the way (either direction) then get out and look to see if the under the car if they are hitting the stop bolt or not - then you’d know if it’s actually wheel lock or you’re straining the link mechanism
When you fill a full tank of gas “it will mess with the system and throw a check engine light on.” For an $80k car I would lose my mind if I was getting a check engine light 5000 miles into ownership. I want to want this car, but so many red flags.
@@benjaminlyng8269 there a software update to recalibrate the fuel sensor.. Ben must be too busy picking up goat milk all the time and has not stopped by the Utah dealer
It’s not filling it up it’s “topping’ it off. Meaning once it’s filled and you try top it off my adding more gas this will trigger the check engine light to come on.
@benjamiknlyng8269 - I'm right there with you. I've owned a number of older Land Rovers and loved them, so I was really excited when I heard about the Grenadier coming out. Then I saw what they did with it and the problems people were having with them. Ruined the vehicle for me, no matter how much I want to like it. Maybe it'll get better as they make more of them, but for this price point, there are just too many things wrong with it. Regardless, I can't get past my hatred of that transmission, and they're unlikely to do anything about that, so I'll likely never own one.
Dash check engine light, had that about week 1. Used odbc reader and cleared errors. Light went off and has not come back in 5k miles. Haven’t found a reader that recognizes ineos but that didn’t matter.
Do you like the Landcruiser better?? I'm in the market for the Landcruiser or a GX550. The Grenadier has intrigued me. Just curious. Thanks for a good video>
Are you adding fuel after the pump shuts its self off? That will eventually throw a check engine light on any vehicle and most people don’t realize it. It damages the emissions system.
Does anyone know if the 2025 model will have a push button start? My sales rep described the metal key as an analog feature of the car, but I saw a video of a guy who had to get his key replaced and it was about $1000. I was obviously being lied to describing this key as analog. I would really like a push button start.
@@ShiftE4threeeverybody says jeeps are getting bullied until it’s time to do some real off-roading. Jeeps still hold the crown aside from the Braptor but even then most people that purchase 100k vehicles will at most drive down a dirt road or cross a shallow stream and call it off-roading.
It’s not about strapping it in tightly. The jack’s moving parts need to be locked down. The moving column and the pivoting handle, are both moving parts.. I just taped them down to ensure no rattle
Pen and Paper method for me. 2024 Fieldmaster and I get 15mpg on paper calcs. The Computer shows 18.6 mpg or so consistently. With that being said, I drive it like I-25 in Colorado has....80 mph+. Cool car. Very few people even know it exists. If you see someone driving this car you know they are sincerely into offroading. Some Jeeps get used as mall crawlers but you'll never see posers driving a Grenadier.
I hope you are wrong. Strong sales by those other than enthusiasts will insure they remain available to enthusiasts. I finished installing on my Grenadier the 12S Warn winch, Baja Designs off-road lights and GP Factor Bull bar so my wife and I could deliver her Mother’s Grenadier out of State.
Yes Ben, I’ve told you before . You need to get the latest software update done , it clears all bugs . The dealer will need both keys to carry out a successful update . Get it booked in asap .
I see a new TLC and think - kinda cheap looking. I see a new GX550 and think - that’s pretty cool. I see a Grenadier and think - that is freakin awesome.
So price is entirely a function of the dealer network, by your logic? 😂 something like a Ferrari with a smaller dealer network, should cost less than a Kia?

I saw a vid on YT where a guy changed the length of two bolts on the knuckles of the front wheels and was able to sharpen the turning radius.

When filling with fuel you need to stop as soon as the pump cuts out. If you keep adding beyond that it will throw up the alarm.
