Looks good. I almost considered this color as a 2nd of the same model.. have the dark grey dial with faded bezel looking one. This one you have here has a very nice shade of blue. Great dimensions. I feel it wears a tad larger than 38mm because of the somewhat broad or beefy lugs. But, it wears just fine. And, that solar movement is pretty darn accurate on mine. I've been keeping time since I received mine and set it on Dec 2, 2021 and it's only gained 10 secs to the time of this comment. The only 2 quartz I own are solar powered and probably the most accurate. The other being a Casio G-Shock Square that has the 5-band and Bluetooth to always keep it perfectly accurate.
Fantastic looking watch, gives me vintage tudor sub vibes, i like the one with greyish bezel and darkblue sunray dial best. Saw one on youtube with the uncle seiko president bracelet, just perfect
I was considering one of those new Seiko Quartz but went with a G Shock JDM Bluetooth on the original combi braclet for my grab and go instead. About half the price of the Seiko.
So many different opinions on this watch, bracelet, quartz, what’s the best color. I got the brown because I like the different color on a dive watch, bracelet in the trash because I hate bracelets, quartz because I have enough manual wind, and lastly great size and style. Lots of watches and lots of opinions. Oh yeah, $360 new.
This is an even better color for an already great watch! Just wish they'd ditch the pins+collar and had a clasp that wasnt so long...then it'd be really perfect.
@@ChillinwitWatches That is great news I was thinking of getting the plain black but it only comes on strap. Can you tell me if you got the uncle seiko and if it does indeed fit?
You’re not kidding these collars are not easy. I’ve never had issues sizing pins and collars but is there two collars per pin? And do they both go in the center piece?? Help!
@@ChillinwitWatches figured it out. It’s the same collar system as the monster where one pin end is fat and the collar goes on the other far side. The trick is you need pressure on both ends unlike the type where the collar sits in the middle and just push it in. Long Island watch #15 shows how to do it. Thanks dude
@@ChillinwitWatches correct me if I'm wrong but the Speedys aren't solid end links on the oyster version. I'd really like to see something more akin to the quality of the strapcode oyster that I have on my SKX for this Seiko solar.
@@michaelwertz6689 not sure about the oyster, but the one I have is hollow. Uncle bracelets are the anti strap code bracelet for peeps who like light jangly bracelets with female end links.
I think you should review watches after using them for couple of months because you showered alot of praise on the PADI version in ur review. Down the line you say that that color didn't work for u. How can ur words in a review be trusted if u urself flipped.
My words were related to the watch, not so much the color. And I still stands by them all. Color is a personal choice anyway, I can't tell you if you'll like a color.
I agree if you're going to have quartz solar is definitely the way to go.
Especially for divers and tool watches
It's a great watch, love the sapphire update and size downgrade, makes the watch an ideal everyday wear. 💪
Totally!!!
These two factors helped me in making decision.
It's absolutely awesome especially with the quartz movement.

That gray is a good looking watch! And you are spot on about the beefy lugs!
@@ChillinwitWatches I don't think they make a bad color for this particular line of solar quartz. All look pretty good.
@@khronokraze even the brown is sweet!
If only it cost a few hundred quid less, automatic option, no date and butterfly clasp and screwed links then it would be perfect
@@oscarosullivan4513 my goodness you'd ruin it! Then it would be thick, dig into your wrist and inconvenient!! Lol
Looks great in blue. I'm thinking of picking up a SNE573. Never had a solar quartz but would like to try one. I prefer a strap to a bracelet.
I bought a 573 the other day. Love it and it went straight on a Nato!

What would we do without all our opinions!! Lol, this one is solid tho!!!
Nice Watch and Perfect if with Super Titanium will be Excellent
Nice, looks a bit like my blue Duro on the bracelet but a bit smaller!
WOW!!! That Doxa!!!! I am SoSo on this Seiko. I would find it small. I have a 7 1/2 to 7 3/4 wrist. Nice looker though.

I just found out that uncle Seiko speedy bracelets fit this model! He's got like 5 different kinds, I'm gonna get one!
@@ChillinwitWatches oh that's a great discovery! which models from Uncle Seiko?? (maybe you could do a follow-up video on that!)

@@MrBacchus18 I didn't get it yet, but there are pics on Uncle's insta
@@ChillinwitWatches ok, I’ll check it out. Thanks!
bought it. very nice everyday watch.
Do you enjoy wearing this watch?
Did you mention the wrist size?
Great video, you've helped me a lot
What is the difference between this Sne585 and Sne569?
Very nice I need one!
You’re not kidding these collars are not easy. I’ve never had issues sizing pins and collars but is there two collars per pin? And do they both go in the center piece?? Help!
Shoot I don't remember if there was two colors per link, but the collars usually go in the middle part for sure.

@@peterfrancis14 yes!!! I remember that, super difficult.
Bin the bracelet these watches are strap monsters. The cheap bracelet has the worst pin and collar set up I have ever come across.
Hi Pete! Did you say that an Uncle Seiko bracelet fits these models? Thanks.
Yeah he said the speedy bracelets fit it. I haven't tried one myself, but I've been wanting to.

Wow thats a ceramic bezel!? With the grooves it looks like aluminum! Great vid!
The bezel insert is an aluminum insert, not a ceramic insert.
That is a good looking watch
Yeah man, it's surprisingly sexy!
Is it really a ceramic insert bezel?

Searching for a good waterproof strap for sne585…any suggestion? Thanks.
I recently put mine on a blue FKM tropic and I love it!
@@ChillinwitWatches Perfect, thanks👍👋
It’s actually an aluminum insert bezel not ceramic!
Did you read that somewhere? Ive never seen grooved aluminum before.
can you repair my watch?
The SS seiko smurf
Totally!
done with seiko
Shoo
Nice case, too bad it’s a quartz
Don't limit yourself! Quartz is what makes it great! It would never be so thin and awesome if it was mechanical.
Typical Seiko. Misaligned bezel insert
