      OMG! if I added oil to my foundation I'd be visible from the space! How can you give a tip and not show how it REALLY looks like and how it WEARS throughout the day? Without it It's just a bunch of theories.
      I don't trust Wayne anymore:( I have to be honest, I'm sorry, even though he's such a nice person. Some time ago I bought the Tighteye Serum which he swore by! It's a serum for the under eye area wrinkles. And it was not the cheapest ($70). Wayne, you swore by it! It's a terrible product. It actually accentuates your wrinkles!!! (I did apply it correctly and gave it numerous tries). Maybe it's good for people who can afford botox, but not for those who actually have wrinkles! (I have my first wrinkles now, I'm 34).

      Omi Baloni Yes, definitely, I do agree that some products won't work for me but will for other people. Hopefully that serum I was talking about works for someone.

      Patrícia Silva Hi, I have oily skin. And so would it work for me if I try it with Rosehip oil?

    • @silvapmari
      @silvapmari 6 лет назад +4

      Safia Khan I've tried with argan oil alone or mixed with a bit of rosehip oil (I have mix skin, and my T zone is very oily), and both work fine, just rosehip alone I find that it's too oily for my skin, if you only have that one uae very very few! to prevent the foundation from becoming too sheer, I sometimes put a bit of oil on my face mixed with the moisturizer and then before it dries I put the foundation and set it immediately to prevent creasing under eyes and smile lines, hope this helps =)

    • @Khan10-r8l
      @Khan10-r8l 6 лет назад +6

      Patrícia Silva yes I also have a oily t-zone ! I used Rosehip oil for 3-4 days and since yesterday I'm breaking out! They're tiny but almost all over the face. But the first 2 times I applied it it gave me a nice glow and skin color looked fresh! And I'm thinking of trying it every other day. I'm just looking for a moisturizer that's as natural as possible which won't clog pores. I don't wear makeup on a regular basis. 4-6 times per year probably. Thanks!!

    Wayne, I have put oil on my foundation ever since you mentioned it the first time. I used to look cakey. Since I added the drops of oil (I use a vitamin e and jojoba oil) from Trader Joe's and it works like magic. You're the best!

    Best tip ever! I tried this with The Ordinary Colours Serum foundation and it worked wonders!! I soooo wanted to love this foundation but no matter which way I applied it, it just made my 50 year old skin look worse than ever :( BUT NOT NOW......it looks amazing......my skin still shows through, is evened out but NOT crepey or cakey.... Result!
    Even though the 2nd ingredient is water it worked beautifully, I pump of the serum and 2 drops of Rose Hip Seed Oil ....
    PERFECT!!
    Thank you Wayne :-) xx

    Here I am two years later just now trying this out. I mixed Urban Decay All Nighter foundation, which I hate, along with Vitamin E oil (I use it on my cuticles but it’s all I had). What a difference! One drop of oil and one pump of foundation and I was good to go. I placed an order for both “The Ordinary” oils, hoping the results would be even better. The Urban Decay foundation is thick, cakey and matte... this trick made it look like my own skin

    I have a little tip for people with oily skin wanting to use oils!
    So I like using oils at night, but I could never use them under my makeup because even when I don't use oils, my skin gets veeery shiny. This happens no matter what technique, products and powder I use. But recently I tried the Boscia Tsubaki Oil and it works amazing under my foundation!!! For some reason my face seems a little less shiny during the day, maybe because my skin doesn't feel the need to produce as much oil. It's a little pricy but the bottle will last a long time. There are many other tsubaki oils on the market but I haven't tried any yet.

      Yesenia I would adore a book put out by Wayne, but it's a very expensive and tedious process. Not the creation. The publication. If he can afford to publish it himself I bet he'd be more inclined but I feel Wayne is a make up artist at heart, or more he loves beauty and makeup. He created a Beautiful makeup brush set. Two, actually right? Maybe someday we'll see "Goss in high Gloss" 😉

    I got a oily skin, but I like to mix pure aloe Vera to my clinique bb cream (the blemish perfection), this makes my skin less red and makes the look of my skin more natural. I do not like heavy feeling products so this is for me a holy greal, just use not to much. I also see results from the pure aloe vera that my skin is a lot less red and my oil is more under control. My beauty expert told me also that aloe Vera got so much skin benefits and now using it for a long time I truly believe her.

    "I read this far." 😀 I am new to the world of mua tutorials, but very thankful. I am 45 and only recently began to need the coverage. I enjoy your videos because: 1. Particular products aren't shoved at me. 2. Your minimalist attitude. If I don't have to buy 6 items just to lay on the face, it's easy to justify a much more expensive foundation. So, thank you again.

    I recently tried the oil technique and I must say that it is absolutely fantastic.I have tried it in winter by adding about 4 drops of coldpressed olive oil to mousse and the skin feels supple and moisturised and most importantly gives the face a more natural look without being cakey.Also it adds a lovely luminous effect.After having it on for the whole day too,the skin doesnt look oily.I’m waiting for summer so as to see the effects then.Wayne Goss you are simply marvelous,love your upfront and no nonsense approach.

    I give you credit for starting the oil mixing method. I watched that original video and it worked so well on my aging skin. I have crepey undereye now and it helps to make my makeup and setting powder look better, my undereye doesn't show its age as much. I do think it's just plain silly when a beautiful young girl dribbles oil all down her face straight from the dropper. and I wonder how the foundation stays on the skin all day with that much oil. and the young girls don't look like they need any oil! I love watching your videos. the advice you give helps me look put together and polished, not like an instagram wannabe, which would look unattractive on a person of my age

    Just a follow-up to my comment yesterday about wanting to try the oil technique with your own brand of foundation. I used it this morning and now eight hours later there is still no caking, nothing in the lines and my face is still moisturized and very happy. I just watched your face lift technique for the cheek area, tried it over your foundation and I am thrilled with the results. Five stars for you, sir. 😊

      Fatima Aquino Maybe you should avoid coconut oil since I've seen a lot of people breaking out once they've included it in their routines. I recommend using rose hip oil because I have acne prone sensitive skin and it works wonders for me since it's not oily when you put it on your skin and doesn't break me out.

      Fatima Aquino I always use almond oil. I saw a woman once with the most beautiful skin and I stopped her and asked what she used it was so naturally perfect. (I don't normally approach strangers tho! 😂) and she told me she used only almond oil on her skin. So I picked a bottle up from my pharmacy for about £3 and I use that. Works perfectly! I do have dry skin, but for me this is how I use the method. Worth a try for such a little price tag. Hope this helps : )

    We recently moved to Colorado from Florida and gosh, does my skin miss the humidity! I typically use YSL All Hours or Armani Maestro. Since moving here, my skin is always "thirsty" despite the drinking lots of water and using heavier creams. I almost spent a bunch of money on several new foundations to try out... then I remember that you had this video that I saw a few years ago so I just searched your videos again! I tried this on for the first time since I never needed it in Florida, and OMG, all day beautiful, hydrated, no makeup skin look.

      Right after I posted this, I put a few drops Juno oil on my face- let it sit for a minute and then put on a little of Bare Minerals foundation. I thought FOR SURE it would ball and look like shite but it actually worked! You have to really take the time (really should do this all the time, haha) to buff buff buff but it made a huge difference especially under my eyes and coverage on my sun spots. I did not use concealer (was only popping into the Vet with my dog) but it looked great! I also did not use Mineral Veil as the finish was pretty good on it's onw (I have mature dry skin). This trick will get me to use up the Mineral foundation I had put aside because the coverage/finish/look wasn't working. Give it go and let us know if it worked for you too, Jerilynn86!

This Christmas Eve ‘19, I went to the mall to return an item and I glanced at the mirrors around and I looked fabulous! Indeed I have oily skin -t-zone area but I used a small amount of oil and it’s the look I’ve been looking for. Subtle, healthy and youthful face. I used vitamin c serum lightly no moisturizer and omitted using a primer. I loved it! Later I tried the primer and it enhanced the pores- not good. Otherwise I’m pleased. Thank you Wayne!

      In the last video he took a wedge sponge with a tissue (after removing the layers so it was just one sheet) over it and bounced it over the foundation before powdering. Don't know what's changed and why it's been excluded, but I would have thought it would be a lot easier to powder over it once the surface oil has been removed!

So, thank you for sharing this valuable tip it is a game changer for me! I dab the Sephora Bright Future pot de creme concealer under the eyes and take a damp Beauty blender with a drop or two of jojoba oil on it and blend it out, voila! Flawless!!!! 💃🏾
