My E38 735i Restoration - Episode 5: Engine (Part 2)

In this episode i attempt to refresh the lower oilpan, with new gasket, new oil level sensor, and on the top of the engine the whole airbox is getting cleaned up, re-sealed with new seals, and some other things around engine bay, namely the two big plastic pieces under the windshield. I am doing all of this for the first time on my own, i always was around when my mechanic was fixing my cars, but never did work like this before, so i hope you can forgive if anything is done incorrectly :-) this car to me is really a big wrenching lesson, and i really enjoy it, especially the before/after shots. Next episode on this should come fairly quickly i hope, there are some setbacks on that one too :-)

Nice work ! I recommand to replace the coolant hose/tube seals in the valleypan in the same time in preventive maintenance.

yea, as i wrote in the description, timing chains were done, but i guess they didnt clean this up when they were doing them :-)
