This is the EXACT series I needed!!! Thank you so much. Add me to the list of people curious about pricing and identifying desired levi's such as pricing for vintage collectors vs. sought after vintage for current styles etc. Thanks again!!
Hiya Christina, we’ll done! One more thing in the big “E”, they’ve reproduced them within the past few years including the selvedge, they’ll have the care label, still sell very well, but you still need to be careful as I’ve seen them listed as “vintage” and they aren’t. Lastly Levi’s are great if you come across a pair that stumps you, write to them & they’ll direct you to someone who can help. Need to do this myself with a pair of big “E” jeans purchased at an estate sale over 10 years ago (been wearing in the interim😄). Everything else purchased there was pre-WWII, so I need to be sure before listing them as those go for quite a pretty penny! Have a lovely weekend! Jet 🧡🎸🎶⚡️
Thanks so much for the information. I came across a pair of Levi's with a red tab and a big 'E' but it looked very much like a newer pair of jeans and this information has been very helpful.
Thank you for this video! I was recently looking around for information about Levi's big E and little e, and low and behold a few days later this video popped up. Short and to the point without nonsense mixed in. Thank you again for this video and all videos in this series. Keep them up!
I was JUST doing so much research on this cause I found vintage Levi’s 501s. I’ve come to the conclusion that I think they’re from 1988, they’re little e though. This is super helpful, thank you 💛💛💛
I got a pair of Levi's big E in Ross in the summer. They came out with a "premium" line designated by the big E and something else. I forget what to be honest. But find the two in tandem and you can identify the more recent big E vs the vintage.
Did you do the next vid in this Levi series? I would love to see more on this brand, I run across Levi's frequently in the wild here in SC and need to know more, I have found one pair so far I sold as vintage and now found another pair I think are vintage as well. Thanks for all you can offer, I so much appreciate all the research you put in to these vids. Well done!!
I think the (R) Tabs are pretty cool...💯✔ It's the trademark, yo...🤘🏼 It's meta, letting you know that it's there and recognized as it's own thang...👍🏼 It's a creative seal of approval from a company that makes quality products, which let's you know by that iconic representation of a REd🌹Tab...👌🏼
So cool! I recently came across a Levi’s Type 1 mini denim skirt...it was a cool find! Not my style and overpriced at the thrift I was at. I loved this video!
Hi Christina great video..hope you can help. I live in the UK and I bought a new pair of Levi’s 501 jeans this weekend and it has the big E on the red tab on the back pocket and I’m so confused as the big E are the vintage ones. Do you know why my new Levi’s has the big E? Hope you can help with this? Thanks! 🙂
@christina charalyn- hello I have a pair of really cool Levi’s jeans and was wondering if you’d help identify the model and whether or not it’s rare or not?
My brand new 501 waterless jeans, have a big E on the red tag,is this normal.Secondly, all the removable paper labels on the jeans are black instead of the usual beige coloured labels.I suppose,I'm asking, are these genuine?
They are polyester, cream colored , somewhat high waisted. The tag says “Levi’s tailored jeans” Tag on back pocket is all uppercase , big E, blue lettering in white tag . All the stitching is blue in entire pants. I’ve looked online and seen there were pant suits made but none I’ve seen have the same tag or name on tag . Thanks for any help!
I bought a pair of new Levi´s 511 jeans with "big red E" from a retail store in Vienna. I´m not even sure whether they are fake or real. there are four digits at the back of the button and it corresponds to the number on the four tags inside and the production date was 2020. please tell me what have I bought, thanks
Not to worry! Levi's brought back the "big red E" in their newer collections of denim which of course just adds to the confusion of whether they are new releases or vintage. I will be making an updated video in the near future :)
Levis has reproduced all of there vintage levis you can only tell by care tag being present inside the reproduction they have selvage seam and everything
So Silvertab’s should be trending big time right now, due to the baggy style, right? I always pass on Signature’s. They don’t bring enough money to make it worth it.
Looks like the line was started in 2010. This is from the Levi’s website “We started the line eight or nine years ago in Europe. It was always meant to be the counterpoint to Levi’s® Vintage Clothing. Whereas our vintage line is centered around reissuing stitch-for-stich replicas of heritage Levi’s® pieces, Made & Crafted® creates the future archival pieces. It’s also about reinterpreting our Icons in new ways.”
Pppft ha I found some big E for Levi's but I swear I told myself they were probably current and walk away. 🤣 Yes the Signature line I found them and thought not good. Lmao! Look what I learned lol.
This is the EXACT series I needed!!! Thank you so much. Add me to the list of people curious about pricing and identifying desired levi's such as pricing for vintage collectors vs. sought after vintage for current styles etc. Thanks again!!
Levis premium series has the big E too and they are newer jeans.

Great info. Levi’s is such a great brand. We’ve been doing a lot of research lately and I’m even more in love with the company!
Raging Loons I’m the same way! The more I read the more I love the brand! So much history 😊❤️
Thank you for the great teaching.
So interesting! Great job as always, Christina. Nailed it! 👍🤚

I heard you say in a recent video that you live outside of Augusta. I do to. I live in Blythe, which is south of Augusta.

There are many kinds of vintage levis jeans there are buckle back ..single stitch ...double stitch ..double XX and on and on
I have also seen Levis with blue tab, at original Levis shop.
Yes Levi’s has been bringing back and redoing their vintage denim 😊
Hi, Christina. I am Japanese. Levi's Japan released 501 (& other models) with "Big E" from 2018. Have US Levi's not changed yet?
Great vid. What about the gold tab?
The only gold tabs I can find seem to be 70s :)
@@ChristinaCharalyn Great thank you;)
I have a pair I wish you could tell me what they are because I can’t seem to find them online anywhere !
describe them and maybe someone can assist if she doesn't reply (or even if she does lol).

Interesting. I wondered about the tab that doesn’t say Levi’s. Is there any distinction with quality?
Nope only difference is the tab :)
Yaaasss great video
I have a Levi’s Jean that has a tiny tag, you know where it says the size?
Have you checked the fabric contents tag? Sometimes its on there.
You’re a hoot !! Thanks, girl ! Love your videos!!!

Great information 😘

I missed my Levi's orange Tab of 1996 in India
So Silvertab’s should be trending big time right now, due to the baggy style, right? I always pass on Signature’s. They don’t bring enough money to make it worth it.
Yes early 2000s styles are definitely trending :)
You forgot the blue tap, that's from the LMC line
I’ve never come across a blue tab but I will definitely be looking into that! Thank you 😊
