I remember shopping at a thrift store in 2008. I saw a pair of Levi’s with the orange tab/Big E and I thought it was a fake bootleg. I regret not buying them.
Big-E or little e, old or fresh, you cannot beat a good pair of Levi’s

Hey Josh, I have an interesting Levis Type 3 trucker jacket. It is a big E with a vintage looking laundry care tag & has #52 stamping on the back of buttons. I could send you photos if you would like. It's cool because it's a size 48 which as you know is a hard to find size. Condition is almost deadstock. Love your channel!

I just got a big E 501 at thrifty store 10$
Fantastic! I was lucky enough to've scored a STA-PREST pant, dead stock no less, & they were my exact L x W! The tags, all of 'em still on, said "Cattlemen's Boot Jeans" methinks. If memory serves. Damn I looked good in those. They were a tan fabric with like, a dark graphite or black square grid print atop. Dashing!

Found a pair of Big E levi's at the thrift for $22 . I stood in that aisle for 30 mins just researching to see if they were vintage. I think this video confirmed the weren't. I should've known tho because they felt super new and I'm pretty sure vintage clothing wouldn't have "vintage " printed on the inner pocket .

I found a big E white tab ( black letters) on the back of a pair of vintage brown levi corduroy jeans ( no care tab). Are they valuable?
Probably 40-60 range.
Hi thank you for the info. I purchased a reconstructed Levis hippie maxi skirt in 1975 from the store. It has no tags at all except for the back tab. It's like a patchwork of clouds ,star and mountain. Can you shed any light on this type of thing?
How interesting! In the 70s it was a fairly common thing to find reconstructed Levi's products done by third parties. I have a hand bag from that time period that was made from an old pair of 501s and then sold from a California boutique in 77. These products don't tend to have as much value, but they are incredibly interesting! I've got an authentic Levi's premium 501 '93 (made in 2019) with big E. How's that?
Unfortunately, Levi's started reusing the Big E on some of their "higher quality" jeans more recently. Definitely adds confusion to the mix.
@@LootFam I see! That's why I got confused with my jeans having the big E although being made in 2019 -definitely not truly vintage yet being a reproduction of the retro '93 cut.
Anyways, I'm happy to have the big E!

Yes, Levis has recently begun reusing the Big E on some of their “premium denim”. Unfortunately, this has caused some confusion.
