He mentioned using area loot. That update came out years after the change from unids to grimy. I don't miss those days. Having to fill your inventory to buy unids to avoid getting overcharged for guam lol.
Spinning flax and chopping maples in Seers Village. I did this about 15 years ago. I have just recently returned to the game and started from scratch. Every thing is very different now. I haven’t done a lot of combat mostly skilling but really enjoy watching your streams and listening to the banter. 😂
You could do an entire account rebuild in 2004 by skilling for a few hours, but it was hard to stop running around with your friends or typing song lyrics in a bank to get it done
Selling coal for 100 gp ea at fally bank was my go to f2p money making method back in 04, managed to get myself an RSH (150k) and a Hween set (1.2m) as a result of doing that for the entire summer. Then when the god armor came out, I traded all that for a guthix armor because shiny armors were so much more cooler than some holiday item, my goal was to get either saradomin or a zammy one which was worth at or close to a Phat at the time, I took a long break b4 I can achieved that thou and when I came back I realized I made a mistake lol.
The start of my money making in rs was doing barrows in monk robes and slayer dart running from varrock. Then i upgraded from there to guthans with slayer dart for barrows. I also merched allot in w2 falador park mainly barrows items. I was 85 slayer so i made some cash with abby whips. I also did allot of kq with my cousin. I was actually a solid wealthy and lvl player back then.
you can farm the guards in varrock for grapes and make decent bank. I was doing it on an alt with aggro pots and note paper and more than made up for the cost
These are great! I was doing flax the other day on my alt just to check prices and was surprised it's still viable. Also now a nice money maker is constructing frames. Another. Making decorated urns.
i bought broken rune axes ( and axe heads ) fixed them in lumbridge @bob, sold them @willows for 4k profit ea and then i started working a saturday job.. bought my first membership with wally cards and then started thieving on master farmers from 38-99... i wasthe coolest kid in class back then
an og method that is low level and currently makes 10m+/h is fruit bat scroll spam with area loot, presets and summ pots its quite easy papayas sell from ge price to 20k each when people are desperate lol
I don't think flax was f2p back in the day, especially since seers is in members area I remember getting my membership by buying a jagex membership card with a scratch off code on the back for $5
I tried to be self sufficient then I tried cannon balls and gold smithing. Eventually it was slayer that gave the jump. Now it is clue scrolls. I dont PvM.
Druids used to be the wilderness. I spent hours there picking up herbs not for sale but in prep for herblore training. There were pkers. Irritating pkers.
As someone whos not played in a whíle, I really enjoyed this video format. If you do another one you should try killing Unicows inthe tower of life with an ardy cloak
NEW MERCH DROP :) Check it out here! - inityeah.myshopify.com - Helps a ton!
Wow this hit right in the nostalgia. I used to waste so much time picking and spinning flax in Seers village lol. Also mining in the guild for hours.
Picking limpwurt roots by hill giants was goated
Remember when herbs were Unids instead of grimy?

Druids used to be in the wilderness, yes. Spent WEEKS down there. It might still be if you enable pvp? Idk I didn't check
Not gonna lie the difficulties with noting 280 flax made me leave a like on the video by itself 🤣🤣
I also spent so much time mining pure essence to sell
The iron nodes you were looking for were slightly west of the lodestone instead of east ;)
They USED to be where I thought they were at one point too haha 1000000%
@@InitYeah With the Mining update and ore box. Varrok is the best place to fill your Ore Box with the most ore.
The L32 bandits in the bandit camp to the west of the GE were popular because they drop a lot of herbs, which can now be collected with the herb bag.
“Everyone fished for lobsters here back in the day” *gets exposed in 4k for never having used that fishing spot in his 15-20 year career* 😂
😂😂😂
The druids are in the wilderness. I spent days farming them for my dragon armor. Only ever got killed once.

I love thinking back over the old ways of making money that are just not reasonable compared to modern profits.
that was always wilderness there yeah its actually a fairly common pking spot on osrs

Hill Giants when I came down that ladder with my rune plate after completing Dragon Slayer - "Do you hear boss music?"
@InitYeah there was a spot north-east in tav duneon as well, that's where i used to go

It was the wilderness for sure. People also did this in taverly dungeon because it wasn't in the wilderness

Druid herb spot was definitely Taverly Dungeon
Man I used to live at that Lumbridge wheel back in the day lol
Yep very nostalgic vid. Also I did many hours I remember at hobgoblins for limpwurt roots.....

Easier using the lunar spells for doing flax to bowstrings.

Flax, and the druids just gave me ptsd 😂
Wheres the nature rune runs? That was my bread and butter.
Mad that one herb run these days makes more than these!

Init you were a hardcore skiller back in the day.

Crayfishing is faster and they are sell higer than bowstrings do
