  • This stretch is without a doubt the best stretch for jiu jitsu players...
Jiu Jitsu as an art, requires us to spend huge amounts of time in a flexed position. Whether playing guard, fighting from top position, or attacking the back, your body posture is essentially flexed (aka hunched or rounded)
This makes our hip flexors incredibly strong (which is good), but it also makes them incredibly TIGHT
Don't let this get you down - any spot or physical practice will cause imbalances in the body.... It's our responsibility as those who wish to practice the art for the long run, to do the necessary work off the mats and restore balance to the body
The Bulletproof Program is all about this. It's about doing the minimum amount needed of the most effective work possible to create a body that is strong, supple and less prone to injury
The lunging hip flexor stretch (and it's variations) addresses the hip flexors directly. The first variation is accessible for anyone. The more advanced progressions will start to target other areas of the trunk as well as the hip - like the abs, pecs and front of the shoulder
This stretch, when done daily, will have a profound impact on all aspects of life:
    - you'll become taller
    - say goodbye to persistent lower back pain
    - it will relax you after class and help you recover better
    - improved hip function
Perform 1-2 sets of 60-90s every day. Thanks us later.
Yours in strength and mobility savagery,
    Oss

I felt that sitting in seiza for a considable has great result and the wall stretch thus becomes alot easier.
