here's a few suggestions for how to learn Chinese
Decide precisely why you wish to learn Mandarin
      Try to use Chinese everyday
Find which method works for you the best.
(I discovered about these and more from Magic mandarin blueprint website )

      I think I noticed something
With regular non-tonal tongues I can sound a lot more natural if I'm variating the tone of my voice, my expression, the speed, etc etc
But what about Chinese? I feel sooo restricted to this natural sounding because my variations have decreased thanks to those 5 tones, how can one overcome this? What do Chinese people do?

I love your english!! It sounds like a native speaker with a great accent. This is helpful. I’m a half chinese myself and I’m having trouble speaking because of tones and “s” pronunciation.

!你好!Great video. From experience [Spanish as a native language, English as a foreign language, TEFL BA, now learning Chinese] this is THE BEST way of learning a language. Thanks for uploading! 😄
The link that appears at the top right on 1:50 ["over here!" red square] is not working ☹ can you fix it? I'm really interested in that list. I've been trying to create one myself, but as I don't have close Chinese friends, it's been rough.
Again, thanks for uploading. I'm subscribed and getting notifications 😄
    很谢! 再见!

a kid starts speaking properly at the age of 7 (minimum) and that is when a kid exposed to the native environment 24/7, unless it doesn't sleep. So I presume that in order to obtain native like level, one just has to go to China and stay there for 7 years. I am Ukrainian, living in Brazil. up till now I met many foreigners here, and only those foreigners who had been living here for more than 10 years, speak Portuguese at the level that Brazilians can't tell apart.

      Privet.Ya plokha gavaryu pa ruski.
I speak Spanish well bur Portuguese not as well.I speak better Russian than I can spell.
And I speak around 15 languages well enough to get by but not have a full converstaion.I was well spoken and on a adult reading level at 5 years old.
      Everyone is a little different.

yeah, it really takes a lot of time and effort. it has a lot to do with the muscle of your mouth and tongue, takes a lot of hardwork and practice.

Learn Chinese like a native speaker i am really inspired by Julien Gaudfroy and 大山, I want to reach the same level of fluency. I work with Chinese, but most of my time I write emails in Chinese. therefore the progress is really slow. My friends advise me to go to China and live there at least 5 years.

How long does it take for a complete beginner to pronounce some common words in Chinese?

Dzelion Gurung you learn much faster if you practice so for a complete beginner I'd say a month or two

If you really want to learn Chinese, u can phone 10086 and press 0 to call human help, which is a YI DONG telecommunication company. She will use the standard Chinese to communicate with you, and she must have patience. The company make her that way. Just like I learn and speak standard English.
