Thanks for all the great videos on your great looking truck from a fellow Michigander. I'm considering the same truck. But I am concerned about the fuel mileage and power for towing. I look forward to see a video on your towing performance and update on fuel mileage.
Thanks for the support! I actually did a fuel economy test at the 1k mile mark. I talk about it a lot in my 1k review of the truck. So check that out if your interested in the numbers and video proof. But I'm usually in the 16-19 range on normal driving to work and around, considering traffic. I will have a towing vid up in a week or 2
Time for a new Old Glory.
Yes you are right. Since filming this vid the flag has been properly replaced
I sparyied my whole truck with woolwax right after i bought it
Are you having good luck with that? I've never heard of that brand
@@adventureandrepeat yes it works good and doesn't wash off. Got to spary it on with a gun I bought the whole kit off there web site
@@bigmurph1447 good to know. I'm gonna go and check them out. Thanks
Very cool!
Thanks!
nice!
Thanks!
Worst chassis they made fr holding up. Up here in east coast of Canada there rusty as hell. All because of the wax they put on from the factory
That's good to know others are seeing problems as well! Thanks for sharing
Are the white spots underneath the wax coat? My truck is covered underneath from the factory. I thought is was from shipping from Michigan.
Which spots are you referring to? Did I have them in my vid like you have? This frame coating is very sticky and I live on a dirt road so the dust and silt like to just stick to the frame on this truck.
Pretty sure that dirt and silt is what I’m mistaken for the undercoating. How my gmc got so bad in transit idk.
I’ll just have to pressure wash it. Thanks for the reply 👍🏻
@@adambartle7826 no problem!
I’m wondering if I can touch up any spots with fluid film or something similar. I’m not sure if it’s the same as what the factory uses.
I've been wondering the same thing as well. Later this summer I'm going to try some products on a few spots to see how they react with each other. So far the places I touched up was with regular body paint and it seems to have adhered with no adverse reactions.
@@adventureandrepeat okay. According to the interwebs, it’s definitely not Fluid Film. It’s supposed to be this stuff called Nox Rust X-121B.
@@robertboyer5498 specs sheets says it petroleum based then
@@adventureandrepeat probably why people say the Fluid Film doesn’t stick to it.
@@robertboyer5498 I've never been a fan of fluid film anyway. I've had better luck with wd40 after all the years of plowing snow
That amount of surface rust everywhere is a joke. I have a 2019 Ram that has almost none..
Yes it is fairly sad. Not sure if being a Michigan truck with all the salt plays a factor in it
@@adventureandrepeat they salt heavy where I live also. Ford is super bad also! Have a good day 🍻
@@dj68488 you as well!
The only truck I saw new that didn’t have the immediate rust was when I got my 2021 Tundra. I traded it in on my Chevy last month and it still looked factory fresh.
