Thank you for the video. I’m a single mom who has never worked on cars but my belt broke and I can’t afford a shop. Your video was helpful and made it easy to do the work. Thanks again!
Just did this job today in about an hour. Thanks for the video. Made it easy to see the right bolts to loosen. 310K on our 2002 Accord and it runs great!
Thanks for the help. There are so many mechanic videos that I have a hard time following. I do all the work on me and my wife's vehicles because we can't afford to get it fixed professionally. So these videos are worth their weight in gold.
My belts came off of my 2000 5 Speed Sedan as I was on the highway this morning I can’t believe I’m about to go solve this same problem today Thank you so much, your video was great
@@hondaresource I will say I changed the belts and now my car won’t start. I don’t think it was an issue with your video, and I’m hoping it’s just something I did when changing the belts
Just rolled over 530K miles on my 1998 Honda Accord, maintenance is key. I Will be giving it away in spring 2024 when my Tesla Cybertruck arrives. So done with ICE but my Honda has been a good ride. Still looks brand new, White paint holds up better. Nice video, quick and to the point.
Thanks dude. I watched another tutorial and I liked yours more. I liked that you showed what tools you were going to use in the beginning and especially the 1/2 drive breaker bar and how it was used for the steering pump. Everything else was good. Only nitpick is you called your ratchet an impact. Thanks 👏👏👏❤️
You’re awesome! Thank you for this video. You helped me save a ton of money which I was about to pay it to the mechanic. Please keep posting new stuff about cars and especially Honda accord 2002, if you get a chance. Thanks again ❤
Thank you for showing. I am a complete newbie, so only thing I wish I could see is which area the belts go. I'll take pictures and videos of my current belt, so I know where to put it. Other than that, good video
Nice! Saves me a ton of time and money! After learning how to replace the fluids in my car. I haven't had to see the mechanic for a while! Caring for your car is very similar to caring for your body: keep it hydrated, well worked, and well rested.
I got a honda accord 2000 with squeaky squeals when I start up the car. I'm pretty sure I'll have to replace the belts so just tryna get the "know how". Appreciate the vid.
I got a question. Same car do the same thing and everything is lined up and free. But ate a belt. Thinking it's stuff off the road it came with no splash guard underneath?
Great detail, informative, and extremely helpful. Yes your efforts were helpful. I need to change the serpentine belt on a 1999 Honda Accord LX. Thanks. 👍🏻😎🙏🏻✝️🇺🇸
A lot of people fast forward or cut through the important parts that you need to see like where to put the ratchet at and how to unbolt it. What position to be at to make it easier for you and you did that so thumbs up to you this is one of the best videos I’ve seen.

Great damn video . Just did my belts on my 01 in less than 30 mins
glad to hear that it was helpful!
Nice and easy method, just did it myself.
How do you know you have the right tension on the new belts?
I just use my finger to apply pressure to the belt, between the pulleys and make sure I can press the belt in about 1/2 inch

Hi. great DIY video on belt replacement. If the crank pulls is loose, can it be tightened or do I need to replace it?
The bolt is loose?
I got a question. Same car do the same thing and everything is lined up and free. But ate a belt. Thinking it's stuff off the road it came with no splash guard underneath?
I would check all of your pulleys and make sure there turn by hand (except crankshaft) make sure the crack pulley is in good shape and not separating
My belt squeaks every time I turn on my car can but it goes away can it be the belt or the pulley that has to be replace
I would check the tension on the belts first, then replace belts if it continues.
Thanks bro, thanks to show the part number
Nice video
Awesome, thanks for the belt part numbers!
Any time!
Thx. Gonna replace both mine today or tomorrow. Notice they started cracking and getting some squealing 😅
Good luck!

@@hondaresource ty
Does top dead center count for replacing the alternator belt, and does it self adjust?
Tdc has no relevance when doing accessory belts
@@hondaresource ok, thank you so much for the video and I'll keep you posted on how it goes

What was the 1/2 inch breaker bar for?
Used to put tension on the power steering while tightening it back on
Can I lubricate the belt with WD 40 or naa?
I wouldn't.
