@@josebangz1874 you absolutely did Jose 🙏🏽, I went through many videos couldn’t find anything with good camera angles and yours was the best, not only the video was good, it was simple and straightforward, it’s helps not only me but many others people working on their vehicles. Thank you again for taking the time out in making this video for everyone and helping the world out. 🙏🏽
Well a good mechanic friend i had taught me that if you can grab the belt and twist it bout 180 degrees and feel the tension, you should be a-okay! Just test it and see if its not too flimsy or too tight!
Awesome video bro came in clutch me only took me about 4 hours but that was more cause didnt have many tools so all the awkward angles to get the bolts out was annoying plus had one belt wrong so had to go exchange it 😂😂 but because of you saved my ass $200+ to have both belts changed at mechanics. But was wondering if you could tell me why while I was driving after about 15 minutes it started to squeal again for like 30 seconds before stopping again and when I did a U turn felt like it jumped or pulled I dont really know how else to explain it?
Sorry for the late response but i find that belts squeak when they get oil and grease on them for some weird reason, go ahead and see if you are spilling power steering?
U know there's a tension release screw at the bottom right? Yall going thru all that extra just to release a belt. Where there's a tensioner under it 😂
@Dax-Johnson you have to take off the left tire and it's right there on the bottom of the car to help take off the belt. Did u make sure the belt is fully on? It could be the power steering belt what you're hearing if it's not the drive belt it's the other belt. Check it for cracks. Mine squeaking too I haven't changed it. I been too busy. I done replaced the fuel pump, fuel pump sending unit, the whole gas tank, and much more. I haven't even had the car for a month yet lmao. The person that had it before it's previous owners did not take care of this thing at all!
So your point does not stand. It would not be harder or more "of a hassle" to do the method show in video as you don't have to take wheel off. If your not doing other maintenance on then its definitely more work. So still not sure what your point you're trying to make is. I tightened the tension on powersteering belt (thin one) and it stopped squeaking. I ran it for 5 minutes and aent lock to lock on the steering wheel 12 times it seems fine @officialyungtwizted3858
Man that makes This so much easier to do. Serpentine belts for dummies kind of easy. Thanks.

How do you know how much tension to put in the belts?

Would it be the same for a v6
