Absolutely no inhaling… Intuitively you may draw a little bit of smoke, but certainly not anywhere like a cigarette. Just pull the smoke into your mouth and roll it around your cheeks and push it out after a second or two in the mouth don’t deep inhale.
Zippo is the brand that I’m familiar with, but you don’t have to spend a lot of money. Any butane lighter will work personal preference is what counts.
