One thing I appreciate with you Usman, is the fact that you're straight up honest all the time.
With that being said, when you buy Stefano Ricci items, you're paying for the brand. Not the quality. I've handled several of their ties, and they're 'meh'. There are much better ties for much less from less known brands. It's just a luxury brand and you're paying for the name.
    Always enjoy your videos, mate.

That’s what I love about the padron anniversary series cigars. It’s like they are a once in a decade smoke but they are less than $30 and readily available everywhere. And to me they are worth the price. Beautiful, and always smoke well. Not an everyday cigar by any means, but they look great in the humidor too.

Love your candidness and honesty! I have a difficult time spending $300 to $600 a box for Cuban Partagas, Montecristo, or Cohiba. But I will do that, worth it IMO.

When you said I’m setting $660 on fire up in smoke. Kinda puts things in perspective on what we waste our money on. With that being said. Fuente is going to have nice wrappers. Great ash. NO flavor. Thats always been the case for me. I would like your thoughts on the Davidoff oro blanco tho. 500 for that.

You cannot calculate the price with simple division. Especially when they are not selling it by sticks.
The whole set costs $5,350, but that does not mean each cigar costs $660

Great review... question... first you said it was around 600 "dollars", then you said "pounds" later on in the review. Which is it?
Just trying to understand since it seems like its around the ballpark of the Oro Blanco from Davidoff or Cohiba 55 Anniversario from Habanos S.A. so not exactly a unicorn from an egregious pricing standpoint. There are plenty others.
Regardless, I'd love to see you review an Oro Blanco or Cohiba 55. You always give great perspective.

I have barely scratched the surface of Cubans for example and would love a video that kind of guides someone like me to the world. What is rare, what is must try? How would you direct a New World smoker, what would you tell him to smoke, if your goal was to "convert" him?

I hope you finished it because it looks like there's still a couple hundred worth of tobacco left!! A cigar that came directly from heaven itself wouldn't be worth $600. There is only so much that a cigar will satisfy a cigar smoker and I've found plenty of cigars that fit that bill. The Padron 1926 line ticks all the boxes for me and the most you pay for one stick is about $35. Peraonally, I can't imagine a cigar that would do more for me than that. I think that these really high end smokes are really created for rich guys who want to fluant their wealth like they do a fine Rolex watch or a fancy Porsche. In other words, these cigars are more of a status symbol than anything else.

Over rated, I had one and had better in a $20 cigar. Also the wrapper started coming apart after only a few minutes. My uncle is an attorney for a very rich business owner and I was invited to a party in Malibu and was offered one of these so of course I took the offer because I smoke cigars everyday but only $20 - $25 per cigar. So I was very surprised that the cigar was not that good at all.

I have smoked every single cigar in the world pretty much. All cigars and I will say that Cuban New World in many ways are overrated. That being said, most premium cigars are decent, smokes whether the Cuban or not people are fascinated with Cuban Cigar's because they can't get it just like a Richard mille watch. Don't give me the shit that the soil is better in Cuba. The Dominican republic is very close. It's not gonna make that much of a difference in tobacco. Arturo Fuente are quality cigars they're excellent no cigar is even worth $50 in my opinion but that's just the way it is behike 52 right now sells for $300 apiece. It is highly overrated as well. It's a good cigar, but not worth that more like 30 bucks.

@@cigarinspector2023 I understand your sentiment… however, I live in Australia and as you probably fully understand, the cost of cigars (taxes) is atrocious. Given that, I am no longer prepared to risk my hard earned money on cigars of which I have had nothing but bad experiences.
To be fair, the best priced cigars to quality ratio here are the Davidoff range.
Also, full disclosure, I bought dozens of boxes of Cuban cigars before the price hikes.
Hopefully when they run out the situation has changed somewhat. Otherwise I may have to reluctantly reassess my stance.

Anything that is hand made isn't worth its price. You are more paying for the labor and time than quality. Which is just stupid marketing bs that only idiots buy into.
Of course, I know you are doing this for the video so you don't count.
Same thing for instruments, specifically guitar for me.
So many idiot snobs in the guitar community that put down ppl's mass produced guitars cuz they've got some 8 grand hand made lump of wood and metal that makes sounds, as if any of their audience cares to know or hear.
A mass produced 4 or 2 grand guitar can do the same thing just fine.
Same thing for like instant vs brooed coffee. After all, we drink for the caffeine effect, which a 5 dollar instant coffee does just fine.
I'd say, same for cigars. I've seen a few dudes that always have to talk about the cuban cigars that they smoke on a regular bases while putting other ppl's smokes down, and they think it makes them appear superior in any ways.
If nothing else, they just look like little kids that just spend money aimlessly on useless toys and then brag about it in their elementary school classes.

    • @cigarinspector2023
      @cigarinspector2023  9 месяцев назад +2

What kind of coffee are you drinking that makes you think instant coffee is the same?
Would you equate fast food burger chains as the same as a good quality steak?
What about good quality clothing with the fast fashion that's currently trending?
If all things are measured the same and it's only down to marketing, how do you personally determine quality?

    • @Eric-dd8bk
      @Eric-dd8bk 9 месяцев назад

      @@cigarinspector2023
It's all just caffeine effect we are looking for in a coffee and cheap coffees do just that.
Well, burgers have buns, veges and meet whereas a stake is just meat so of course not. But they do the same thing essentially which is filling up our belly, and it's all just ganna come out the other end.
Well, the clothing doesn't have to be high quality to be trendy either.
And the last question. I did not say everything is just marketing. Stupidly expensive stuff are. You are paying for rather the hands and time that went into making anything hand made than functionality and reliability. Which is by definition marketing.
Like the cigar you are smoking in this video.
But again, I know you did this for the video so you don't count.
