Hi Laura! Welcome back, your life change sounds exciting. So yes do finish the tops you have on the go, they look like they can be work appropriate. I like the Idea of a Shirt dress for the Coffee fabric, and having a Cardi to go with it for a outfit, if there is fabric left maybe a Donny Shirt. I love the Viscose from JoAnns, I'm hear in S.Florida, and have my eyes on that same fabric. Maybe yes on a dress for that fabric. And yes your make 9 will change with your life style. It will be great to see what you get done, and how you settle into your work / home life. Thanks for sharing with us! Liz 😎🌴☀️
Thank you so much for your thoughts, Liz. I don’t have the Donny Shirt pattern but I do have a couple that are a similar style. Thank you for watching!
Thank you! Let me know when you can chat as I’m mindful of your Uni commitments as well as your massive sewing project list! I can tell you about the new job then. I’ve only done 4 days so far so still feeling my way.
Thanks Angela! Let’s hope I’ll still be able to keep up my fabric habit working PT! I’m coming down for the July sewcial so will see you then if you’re going.
Hi Laura really enjoyed the blog. I suggest a skirt or overalls for the coffee fabric. You can then pick out the colours in a blouse or T-shirt closer to your face. It will be lovely.
Nice to see you again Laura 😊
Thank you Alison 😃

Congratulations on your new job! A shirt dress in the coffee fabric sounds lovely even if the color isn't perfect.
Thank you! The coffee fabric has just gone on the washing line so hopefully I can sew it up soon.
Good to see you back. Love the Viscose you got in Joanns. Good luck in your new job, let’s hope it stays at 3 days so you’ll have more sewing time

Thank you! Yes, I think I will probably go down that route- lots of subtle colours in that print!
