I'm not sure about the manga since i never read it, but in the animated series, didn't goku fall from Snake Way and had to get back somehow? I don't remember that in the video that covers the sayin arc. And then there's the episode where he's going to put out the flame at the ox king's house. Doesn't he have to go fight some goddess that grows huge or something. Wasn't he looking for the magical fan which was the only thing that could extinguish the flames? In the video that covers that arc, it was roshi that extinguished the flames, along with destroying the entire mountain. And then there was the episode where goku and piccolo get a driver's license. Although I haven't actually seen it myself. Those are just a few elements that were left out that I can think of, but like I said, they're from the animated series. I guess the manga must have been different. Even so, I am thoroughly enjoying these videos. I think Akira would be very much flattered.

This is still easily the best saga in DBZ. Everything that happens from the moment Gohan, Krillin & Bulma arrive on Namek up until the moment Namek explodes is magnificent storytelling
Honestly, biggest W. These months that have you been on youtube, you have really grown. From voice expressions to editing and pacing. You have truly progressed, Justin's Den.
The best part about this arc to me is the idea that, for truly the first time ever, goku was completely outclassed without a hope in hell of beating frieza. Sure, he lost to Tao. But the solution was readily available. He lost to king piccolo, but again, a readily available solution was there. Goku went pretty much unmatched in dragon ball all throughout the series up until meeting frieza. He may have had some missteps along the way with Tao, King Piccolo, and Raditz. But he always found a simple solution, be it korin, ultra divine water, or teaming up with piccolo. Frieza was truly a different beast. He was only using half his true power, and he still had goku completely outclassed. Not even the spirit bomb did the job. That’s true helplessness. Not 1 single solution existed at the time of crisis. And then…. A prophecy was fulfilled. How great of writing is that? You build up your character literal YEARS to be this unstoppable force, only to have him completely meet his match at the hands of a cosmic tyrant that’s never been defeated. You build up this ancient prophecy of the saiyan race, and it all culminates in the absolute greatest moment in anime history. Just pure poetry. The frieza arc is an absolute masterpiece
i really love watching the manga fights, especially when you explain it. i also compare the scenes and dialogues to the games and anime in my head. it's very cool. thanks, your narration for these sagas are great, it's very enjoyable

Thank you! To be honest, I thought the same thing about the Vegeta comments. While reading, I kept thinking to myself that Nappa was the one who killed the Z Fighters. However, I dont think it was a mistake. By unleashing Nappa on the group, Vegeta was technically to blame since Nappa’s dead.
A lot of people want to crap on chichi, but her husband was killed and her son kidnapped by his enemy for a year, and right after she gets him back they’re talking about leaving the planet. It’s hard to blame her for her reactions.
In my day, The Namek Saga was always playing reruns ad nauseam for what felt like years. Then out of nowhere, they started running the Cell saga. It was a breath of fresh air at the time. I think it was also Ssj Vegeta that made me fall for it so much. Not to mention Trunks. Still, looking back, the Frieza Saga will always be unmatched. Even when Vegeta sacrificed himself in the Buu Saga, it was nothing compared to how powerful his last words were to Goku before he died the first time. Even as a kid, I understood his pain, and he instantly became my favorite character in the entire canon of Dragonball. To me, he is the true main Character. Goku might be taller but Vegeta is greater! VEGETA! YES!!!!!!!
This makes sense why Vegeta was so descriptive about the wish fighting Majin Buu. He remembered what he did to the Namekians in the Village he visited. Seems he went full circle in that moment. So he was deemed a good guy.

Not really, unless you watch the Z english dub, which has a lot of changes to his character. The Kai Dub is much closer to the manga, same for the japanese version and the majority of other dubs
