- The Entire Majin Buu Arc | Dragon Ball Z Manga
The Majin Buu arc takes place 7 Years after the events of the Cell Saga, beginning with the arrival of the wizard Babidi, who seeks to awaken the ancient monster "Majin Buu" in order to conquer the universe. Babidi uses his magic to control powerful fighters, including Vegeta, and unleashes them on the Z Fighters in order to gather energy for Buu's awakening. Despite constant warnings from a new ally known as The Supreme Kai, the Z Fighters are unable to prevent Buu's awakening. Oddly enough they even CONTRIBUTE to it, and the creature proves to be an extremely powerful and destructive force. Buu quickly destroys entire cities and kills many innocent people, including some of the Z Fighters and their families, leaving only a few to challenge him and his many iterations in the end. Goku and his friends have their backs against the wall in this new adventure, but how will things end? What's in store for Gohan after the death of his father 7 Years ago?

This gave me so much more appreciation for the Buu arc. The manga has so much better pacing. It's 100x better than the anime. I think the best part is the slice of life part where Gohan interacts with Videl. I wish we got a few more chapters of that.
Thats good to hear man. The Buu Saga is pretty good. It gets mixed reviews from fans though. My favorite portion of it are the fusions and Gohan power up. 💯

This is my favorite DBZ arc. I actually read the entire manga instead of watching the anime, although I've seen some episodes of the anime too. I've always loved this arc as the proper conclusion to the series. And I loved how Vegeta came full circle in his character arc during this saga.

Buu's arc is one of the best , the way it explain and dive deep about the side characters making the whole arc even more charming than the previous series. especially that Satan and buu connection, he literally defeated pure evil with company and empathy
It so ironic how the anime gets so much shit for the pacing but in the manga it’s highly regarded as one of the best paneled and well paced mangas

Wow the "But your memory will be erased" line hit so hard because I think they left this portion out in the anime (my first time going through Manga DBZ so thank you for this video which makes it extremely more time efficient and well explained for me) It was known he would lose his body but to be willing to lose all the memories you gained as well after learning you loved your son and his mother and your rival and even trying to avenge his son(Gohan), More than anything in the face of death just reveals a new level of respect for Vegeta. He truly sacrificed every last bit of himself to see them live. As said in Super, The Saiyan's will never perish.
The Buu arc was one of my most favorite arcs
as it continuously instilled fear into us at the start but when gotenks,gohan and especially vegito and spirit bomb goku showed up to the fight
it was so insane. The only reason I'm still watching dragon ball is because of this amazing arc and I will always cherish the moment where i first watched it on the anime as a child

The MB arc for me was a real chore to get through with the anime especially with the pacing and padding - I couldn't even see all of it. The manga pacing makes a lot more sense and is even more coherrent in 'tone'. Unlike the previous sagas the MB saga definitely had more silly and comedic elements to it and wasn't just serious throughout (much like original Dragonball). This 'mixed' tone In the long-drawn anime vwas very weird to watch as a kid. Thanks for putting this together allowing us to follow the story fully the way it was meant to be.

The Buu arc will always be the best.
Honestly the best part of the Buu saga was everything from preparing for the tournament to Fat Buu's saga. It was all pretty fire and had that classic Z quality....all up until Fat Buu became Super Buu, then it all started to go downhill from there
I won't lie I probably prefer super buu and buutenks and kid buu design too fat buu design but I prefer fat buu fighting with demon Deborah and supreme Kai gohan vegeta and super saiyan3 goku vs fat buu fighting moments are way more entertaining than the later fights with super,kid,buutenks buuhan . I would say with the later fighting in buu saga they have some awesome powering up moments and absorbing and fusion looks great and then the fighting is hyped up with those power ups with not so impressive fight moments. All though I enjoy the fights on supreme Kai,s world at the end. Even trunks Vs goten tournament fight is probably one of my favorites in the whole buu saga 🤘 the 🐉
Disagree, the whole arc was lit, built up and got better. Ending in an awesome and memorable way.

This arc is great but I really wish Gohan got to do more, felt like a lot of wasted potential having him just being a power up for buu after all the potential unlocking and how his strength was something that was foreshadowed and was a running theme for the entire Z story. Regardless this arc is a lot better than people give it credit for

Crazy how this arc only was a day....just a day but not too surprising. The whole saiyan saga took a year then the namek saga took a couple months then the android and cell arcs took 3 years and 13 days. Crazy my friends
