- This is a tutorial video covering the basics of modelling structural elements in a fire using Abaqus. It uses the benchmark published by Gillie (see reference below) as an example. This video will show you how to:
a) Input a temperature-dependent elastic-plastic material model
b) Activate non-linear geometry
b) Use a static analysis with normalised time steps to analyse a beam over the course of a fire
c) Use reference points and kinematic constraints to apply boundary conditions
