There was a capcom stream from pax west earlier this weekend. Just saw it. They showcased a demo build that was available at Pax on PS5. I got all the gameplay footage from the stream event and put them together along with the latest trailer. If they showcase anything else, I'll try to upload it. Enjoy!
Hopefully we can turn of the voice acting for the palico,they sound more genuine with their own language and our hunters understand them showing how so in tune they are with nature

Played on console, game will likely be stable 30 on release. Though they might have framerates uncapped like in Dragon's Dogma 2. This is definitely being played on Fidelity mode.

I feel like they're fucking with insect glaive a bit too much and it's pissing me off! How can you cut moves like the (Glaive Bounce) from a weapon with iconic moves like that. I swear if they gave us that dive as a special move rather than it being a normal move I'll cuss the Monster Hunting team out. Stop with the IG hate. Giving Long Sword everything and just stripping away moves from a great weapon smh
I agree, I don't like how much hate long sword gets, but we have come to the point where every game it keeps everything from the last game and it gets even more buffs on top of that. - New spirit combo in red gauge - New way to get to red gauge with the focus attack (levels the gauge twice) - Damage tag follow up for the new helm breaker - Follow up after finishing spirit combo But we now we IG players need - triple extract for the advanced combo - no aerial move set but we still get the regular falling animation, not even a follow-up afterwards like spirit finisher extender for LS (I heard rumors that its possible but nothing confirmed) - The new rising slash move for IG only gives you the right extracts if you LAND IT PROPERLY and its always the general area it hits so it can collect the same extract 3 times I hate weapon elitism as much as the next person but there's clear favoritism. I would be fine with every change if we just had aerial back. But no, its taking stuff away from IG just to give other stuff, while longsword just keeps getting more stuff than it already has. I hope the dive is also a normal move like world too, I will riot if not cause then what's next? no more vaulting?
While i agree that it sucks when stuff gets removed from weapons i feel this type of aerial ig was super lame. Spam 1 move that doesnt achieve much and takes 0 effort to use. IG damage lies elsewhere and the plunging attack they introduced in IB was the single most important piece to make aerial combat with IG. You can still play aerial combat but its simply not braindead spam circle until stamina is empty. Its like removing wild swings of swaxe after 3-4 hits. I wouldnt mind it because wild swing is not a useful move to spam. Its a bridge move for morph sweeps, faster Overhead smashes or the axe buff move. If you miss this move than you are not really engaging with the complete moveset. Ill give you one thing though. aerial bounce had relevance in connecting the plunge after dodging in the air than bounce into triangle move or the R2 plunge.
@Corey91666 That's being disingenuous because wild swing isn't a PLAYSTYLE as you said, it's a bridge move. In world aerial insect glaive admittedly was pretty ineffective. But it was fun. It doesn't matter to me that it doesn't deal massive dps and kills monsters in 10 minutes, it was a genuine playstyle that a lot of people found fun to use. Including myself. And that whole "damage lies elsewhere" argument falls apart when you take into account that Rise made aerial combat viable and sunbreak expanded upon it even more. I get that people play weapons for different reasons. I don't want to hear how aerial had to go cause it was braindead and non engaging when rise was literally balanced monsters around punishing aerial IG and aerial combat in general: - roars stun you for longer when you're airborne cause they send you flying - Monsters have larger hitboxes that hit far above themselves - Monster projectiles are more accurate Aerial insect glaive is also very dependent on positioning too cause of how much commitment you're wasting if you miss the enhanced aerial attack. Saying that downward thrust was the sole reason for IGs aerial damage is just a DPS clouded mentality to have when literally the reason people want it back its cause it's fun. We don't really care about damage, if we did we would play Long Sword or any of the bowgun weapons. And I don't want to hear about how it invalidates monsters movesets when long sword can invalidate attacks while dealing them back tenfold, bow and dual blades have perfect dodges. How is that any more engaging than dodging the monster by being out of range. They can make monsters punish aerial combat, they have done it before, just as they have made it viable in rise.

I have no problem with them improving other weapons and making it better but they just keep shitting on Glaive for no reason..... Imagine and normal ass dive we had in Iceborne became a switch move in Rise..... Like what?! 💀
They are definitely aiming for a stable 30 with all the shit running in the game. It would be a miracle if we get anymore than 30 fps on a base ps5. That’s why they are releasing same time on PC and consoles. Maybe a ps5 pro comes out where performance will be better?

Yikes that frame rate could be better. I know this is still an unfinished build, but I’ll definitely be copping this on the PS5 pro when it comes out.
